1992 Stealth Nice solid stealth ready to be driven. I bought this car from the second owner. He kept it garaged most of it's life. He stated to me that this stealth had never been wrecked. While it has no rust it does have it's share of chips and minor scratches (especially on the front of hood). I bought this stealth in Ohio and drove it home 500 miles with no issues. I intended on making this my driver but I have several other cars and found myself not driving this one so it's time to let it go to somebody else that can enjoy this reliable little sports car. It doesn't leak or use any oil and has no weird noises or knocks. It shifts fine through all the gears and drives down the road nicely. Every thing works on the car except for the oil pressure gauge. According to second owner timing belt was changed at 89k. Has cold a/c and hot heat. The interior is very clean with just a few small tears on top of driver's door panel. The seats are firm with no tears or marks. There is an after market stereo which didn't fit in bezel like the original. All in all this is a very solid car that I would drive anywhere. Consistent with it's age it does have a few marks and chips but nothing major. This car is also being listed locally so I reserve the right to end auction early. Thu, 24 Jul 2014Oh, the heady days of 1993, back when the Clinton Presidency was just getting underway, and it seemed like every hot new rock band was coming out of Seattle. Sports cars in the US had finally shaken off the shackles that slowed them during the '70s and '80s, and you could buy any number of legitimately quick vehicles again. MotorWeek recently went digging into its archives to find this six-model test from 1993 showing off some of the best semi-affordable performance coupes that money could buy at the time, and it's priceless.
Featuring the 1994 model year Toyota Supra in twin-turbo guise and MY 1993 versions of the Porsche 968, Nissan 300ZX TT, Mazda RX-7, Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo and Chevrolet Corvette LT-1, MotorWeek definitely covered all of the bases. One thing that might surprise younger readers is these cars' performance. The video only provides 0-60 acceleration times, but several of these vehicles would still be considered pretty potent today - over 20 years since going on sale. The Supra is especially impressive, hitting 60 miles per hour in just 5 seconds. Even today, that's nothing to sneeze at.
Given their performance potential and still-attractive looks, it's amazing that some of these coupes are old enough to drink now. The progress of interior design and safety equipment in the intervening years is pretty shocking, though. In most of these models, having two airbags is touted as a big deal. Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]
Wed, 23 Jan 2013To be honest, we're surprised something like this didn't pop up sooner. Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.
