2007 Dodge Sprinter 3500 14ft Box Truck, Extremely Clean, Looks New, No Rust on 2040-cars
Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, United States
If you've been looking for an extremely clean box truck and want the reliability of a Sprinter than my 1-Owner, rust free 2007 Sprinter 3500 with 163k is for you.
Mechanically this Sprinter runs like it should. Motor sounds healthy through all the RPM's. Transmission shifts beautifully through the gears. Brakes feel good with no pulsing. This was a 1-Owner truck used to transport Goodyear tires. Seems to have been well maintained over the years. No lights on the dash. Tires have about 80% tread left. Rear tires are Goodyear mud tires so they do have some noise to them. Drives nice down the road. Overall a very nice Sprinter for 163k. Cosmetically this truck is in great shape. Paint shines like new in the sun. Cab is near flawless with no door dings or any scratches that stuck out to me. Just gorgeous. Box is in great shape as well with the exception of a crease on the passenger side. The whole truck is free of rust and honestly looks like it has 30k on it. Interior is very clean and not all worn out. Smells good and hasn't been smoked in. You'll be extremely impressed with the condition of this box truck. Overall this 1-Owner Sprinter has been very well cared for and not abused in any way and will make someone very proud to own. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call at 717-823-3349. My name is Zach. I am only human and may have missed something that is important to you so please ask any questions before buying. A $500 non refundable deposit is due at the end of the auction. This truck is being sold by Platinum Car and Truck Sales, LLC in Elizabethtown, PA |

NHTSA closes investigation on 4.7M FCA power modules, no recall
Thu, Jul 30 2015FCA US hasn't had the best time with recalls as of late. Not only did the company recently agree to greater safety oversight and paid $105 million to the government, that came just days after hacking fears prompted a 1.4-million model recall campaign. However, a recent decision to close an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration means that the automaker doesn't have to worry about another major recall possibly affecting 4.7 million vehicles, according to the agency's report (as a PDF). Last September, the Center for Auto Safety petitioned NHTSA to investigate an alleged problem with the totally integrated power module (TIPM) on these FCA US models. The group claimed that a fault with the component could cause a variety of maladies, including stalls, not starting, catching fire, unintended acceleration, and airbag non-deployment. At the time, it also submitted 70 cases where this had reportedly happened. According to NHTSA, "no valid evidence was presented in support of claims related to airbag non-deployment, unintended acceleration, or fire resulting from TIPM faults and these claims were found to be wholly without merit based on review of the field data and design of the relevant systems and components." The agency did find signs of an issue with the fuel pump relay in some Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos, but FCA US issued recalls for the problem in September 2014 and February 2015. Without anything else to go on, the Feds don't think it's worth investigating this topic any more.
MotorWeek remembers a better time for Mitsubishi performance
Fri, Feb 26 2016Dodge still knows how to create an capable performance car – look at the Hellcats, for example – but the same isn't true for Mitsubishi. With the Lancer Evo's demise, we don't expect driving enthusiasts to clamor for any of the Japanese automaker's other products. Things used to be different, though. As MotorWeek found in its new Retro Review, the 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 and its sibling, the Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo, were impressive sports coupes in their day. Dodge and Mitsubishi packed a bevy of cutting-edge tech into the coupes. In these trims, both sported all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, an adjustable suspension, active exhaust, and automatic climate control. The 3000GT VR4 upped the ante even more with active aero parts at the front and rear. Their 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 was good for 300 horsepower and 307 pound-feet, which were good numbers at the time. This pair put all their gizmos to good use, too. MotorWeek compares the all-wheel-drive system's grip levels to a Porsche 911 Carrera 4. When was the last time you heard any favorable similarity between a Mitsubishi and a Porsche? The Stealth R/T Turbo and 3000GT VR4 came from a special time for Japanese sports coupes, when every brand had a halo model. Whether you were looking at Nissan 300ZX, Mazda RX-7, Toyota Supra, or even the Acura NSX, there was a lot to like on the market. MotorWeek's latest Retro Review offers a great reminder of that period.
