I have a 2005 Dodge Sprinter for sale. It had some front end work done on it before the Ecm failed. It has 389,432 miles on it. It was used as a delivery truck. I have called around and found several people that said that they can take the information off the old ECM and put it on their new one for around $700-$900. I found one of these guys on Ebay. It had new rear Michelins put on the rear before it stopped last year. It is sitting at a garage that works on my trucks. The mechanic said that the ECM is bad, but he does not program them. He said that he thought that is what it needs to run. He checked it out pretty good and found that to be the issue. There are a few scratches and dents on it and you should be able to see them in the pictures. There is no warranty and it is as is and no returns. You will have to have it towed unless you get it fixed first. The people told me to take out the ECM and send it and the key to them and they could send me the good one back. If it doesn't sell that is what I will probably do. It also has two codes in it saying that the glow plugs #1 and #2 are not working. The mechanic told me that this will run without fixing the glow plugs. The truck has not been clean in a while so it will need a bath. The hood has what looks to be a little surface rust starting. The side door is missing the outside handle, but I have one to replace it. The front tires are not the best, but drivable. The rear tires were replaced before it quit last year. It needs a battery. If you are interested and would like any additional information please ask before you do any bidding. The Sprinter is located in Knoxville, TN 37917. $500 deposit is due at end of the auction and the rest is due within seven days. The truck will need to picked up within seven days unless we come to an agreement. I have the ECM out of the truck now. The parts for the dash are on the shelf behind the driver's seat. Thanks for looking.

Dodge Dart getting hatchback variant... sort of
Thu, 25 Apr 2013In other parts of the world, Fiat builds and sells a version of the Dodge Dart called the Viaggio, and it appears that in addition to the current sedan bodystyle, a new hatchback version of the car is also in the works. Autocar says that the general manager for China's Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, John Burton, has confirmed that a new Viaggio hatchback will be revealed by the end of this year before it goes on sale in early 2014.
The Viaggio will soon be joined by the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which in China will be called the Liberty Light, at the Guangzhou-Fiat plant. While the idea of a Dodge Dart hatchback might be enough to enable most of us to forget about the Dodge Caliber, a North American variant doesn't appear to be in the cards. We reached out to Chrysler PR boss Rick Deneau, and he offered a succinct: "No plans at this time."
Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]
Wed, 23 Jan 2013To be honest, we're surprised something like this didn't pop up sooner. Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.
