2001 Dodge Ram Van Ram 1500 Conversion Van Runs Great No Reserve on 2040-cars
Staten Island, New York, United States
For sale is a 2001 Dodge Ram Van (1500) with a V8 5.2L engine and an automatic transmission. I bought this van with the intent of using to haul my motorcycle around, but it I ended up buying a pick up truck instead. The van drives and rides 100%, trans shifts smooth and does not hesitate, there are no check engine codes or any other warning lights, it does not smoke or leak oil. Exterior is in average condition, it has its normal wear marks such minor dings and scratches, most noticeable is the one on the right rear side door, and the right running board is broken on the far end edge. Please look at the pictures, you can see most of the imprecations. Interior has power windows, doors and mirrors, it has two rows of seats in the rear, it has a TV with a DVD player in the rear-perfect for long trips. Interior is in really good condition for its year, few minor rug stains-nothing major. There are no tears or foul odors. Everything works as it should. Tires are in good condition and should last another few thousand miles. It has a CLEAN title, which will be provided with a dealer reassignment (it was purchased under my company.) If you have any questions, please feel free ask. DO NOT BID IF YOU ARENT GOING TO PAY FOR IT. I CAN DELIVER IT WITHIN A 100 MILE RADIUS FOR A SMALL FEE-AFTER PAYMENT HAS CLEARED. I ALSO CAN ASSIST WITH TRANSPORTATION AND/OR WORLDWIDE SHIPPING. ***NO RESERVE*** |

Man hits 153 mph on I-75 in Dodge Magnum
Tue, May 19 2015A man driving in Michigan took his 2005 Dodge Magnum practically to the limit in the wee hours of the morning on May 19 when the Michigan State Police caught him on radar going 153 miles per hour on Interstate 75 near Detroit. The 21-year-old driver was spotted around 3:00 AM, according to The Detroit News. Michigan State Police First Lieutenant Michael Shaw told Autoblog that officers initially saw the man on radar doing 79 mph in a 70-mph-zone, and they started following him. He eventually clocked 153 mph. However, First Lt. Shaw was clear that there was never a pursuit. "Speeding isn't necessarily a reason to put the public at risk," he said. The situation ended rather abruptly, though. The driver pulled off the interstate and behind a building. He remained in the vehicle, and police arrived and arrested him. According to First Lt. Shaw, the man was driving home from work and alcohol wasn't a factor. The Magnum has been impounded, and the driver was charged with reckless driving. Unfortunately, First Lt. Shaw said that he didn't know what engine was in the wagon, but as enthusiasts, we're curious. After all, the 2005 Magnum RT was governed to 130 mph and the SRT8 wasn't unleashed until 2006, which means either the wagon must've been derestricted to hit such high speeds or that police have the year wrong. We'll let you know if we figure that one out...
Dodge unveils Special Service Durango for government fleets
Fri, 18 Oct 2013Straight off its refresh, the Dodge Durango is slipping back into its dress blues and getting back to work. The 2014 Dodge Durango Special Service Vehicle boasts all the refinements and improvements that the refreshed, civilian-spec model received, most notably a 15-percent improvement in fuel economy.
Designed for police and fire departments, and as Chrysler's answer to the Ford Police Interceptor Utility and Chevrolet Tahoe PPV in the growing service SUV market, the Durango boasts a 600-mile range, thanks to the addition of an eight-speed automatic, available on both the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Equipped with the 360-horsepower Hemi, the Durango SSV can tow up to 7,400 pounds (the V6 is limited to 6,200 pounds).
Police and fire department Durangos get a few special features over the civilian models. The electric systems are ruggedized, with a heavy duty battery and a 220-amp alternator in place, while the engine's water pump and oil cooler are both stronger. The brakes are tougher, and a load-leveling suspension has been fitted, too.
Roadkill pits every project car against each other
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
