Up for auction is a 2011 Dodge Ram 5500 Series Crew Cab service truck. It is loaded with all power options. It does have heated leather and vinyl floor and was ordered that away from factory. On top of having leather seats, factory dodge seat covers were also ordered for the truck to protect the leather. The bed on the truck is a Stahl 9' bed and has been painted to match the truck color and was done professionally and baked on. On board in the bed the truck has a Kohler 15,000 watt remote start diesel powered generator. Along with the generator it has an American Eagle V480 air compressor that has been setup to run off of the crank pulley on the generator. It has all been setup to run off of the tank on the truck so that it doesn't require a separate spot for fuel. Inside the bed it has fluorescent lighting to make it easy to see what you have loaded inside. Outside in the boxes are multiple drawers for extra storage as well as air and electrical hookups to do whatever you need to do. It has all been setup well and has been well cared for. Has Dodge stepped in it again with Scat Pack lawsuit?
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Lawsuits are an unfortunate part of doing business in just about any industry, so the latest complaint filed by a California-based aftermarket firm against Chrysler would seem to be nothing more than business as usual. But this isn't the first time the two companies have sparred over this particular issue.
According to a report from Automotive News, the dispute revolves around the Scat Pack name that Chrysler first offered on the Charger, Coronet, Dart and Super Bee starting in 1968. Scat Enterprises, a manufacturer of crankshafts and other components for Dodges and other vehicles, sued Chrysler for using its name. A few years later the Scat Pack disappeared from the Dodge catalog.
Fast forward to August 2013 when Chrysler applied to register the Scat Pack name anew. The US Patent and Trademark Office turned down Chrysler's application, but the automaker proceeded anyway, unveiling new Scat Packs for the Challenger, Charger and Dart at last year's SEMA show.
Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure
Tue, 16 Apr 2013Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.
Diaz left his position to take over as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan. You can read the full press release on the Chrysler personnel changes below for more information.
