2005 - Dodge Ram 3500 on 2040-cars
Summit, New Jersey, United States
I bought this truck in 2009 with 42000 miles on it. Since then I changed the oil, filter, and fuel filter every 5k miles. Replaced the clutch at 60k miles. Had the turbocharger and starter replaced the first year I had it under warranty. Then had the fuel pump replaced under warranty last year. The interior is in great shape with just normal wear and no rips or tears. I was dinged in a parking lot which dented just behind the right rear wheel well and along the passenger side front door. The scratches go through the paint but not the primer. There are also some small dents. Both areas are shown in the pictures. There is a paint matched century cap with locking opening rear and side windows and inside light. There is a bed liner with no cracks. There is a one hundred gallon transfer tank in the bed that is plumbed into the filler neck and is a gravity feed with shutoff valve. There are Westin nerf steps. Tires are Nitto Dura Grappler with about 2k miles on them. I replaced the stock headlights with HID projectors. It is a big improvement, but I still have the stock lights if you want them. There is a Tekonsha prodigy brake controller. There is a backup camera with color screen and xm radio that I will include if the price matches or exceeds the buy it now price. I used this truck to pull my two car race trailer which weighs about 16k lbs when fully loaded. Pulled with no problems. Had the truck all set for last season with new tires, fluids, batteries, tune up, etc then ran into some health problems and didn't race at all so the truck was only used for a little local driving in the last year. Now I have downsized and only have a small race car whose trailer only weighs 3500 lbs so I don't need a large truck any more. Vehicle is for sale locally so it may sell before the end of the auction. More pictures on request.

Fiat Chrysler posts record Q3 profit thanks to U.S. trucks and Jeep
Wed, Oct 28 2020MILAN — A rebound in car production in Fiat Chrysler on Wednesday reported record third-quarter earnings as production returned to nearly pre-pandemic levels. The Italian-American automaker, which is finalizing its full merger with French rival PSA Peugeot, reported a net profit in the three months ending Sept. 30 of $1.4 billion (1.2 billion euros). That compares with a loss of 179 million euros a year earlier. The carmaker reported adjusted earnings before tax and interest in North America of 2.5 billion euros. That offset deepening losses in Europe, Asia and at its Maserati luxury marquee. Latin America, the only other region to post a profit, saw it narrow by two-thirds to 46 million euros. “Our record results were driven by our teamÂ’s tremendous performance in North America,” CEO Mike Manley said in a statement. Overall, the carmaker said global earnings before tax and interest were a record 2.3 billion euros despite a 6% fall in revenues to 26 billion euros. Global shipments were down 3%, due largely to plant retooling in North American to produce the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer in the luxury SUV segment and the discontinuation of the Dodge Grand Caravan classic minivan. Fiat Chrysler announced earlier Wednesday that its merger with PSA Peugeot is on track to be finalized by the end of the first quarter of 2021, as planned. To meet regulatory concerns, the French carmaker is selling a small stake in a components maker to get below 40% ownership. The new automaker, to be called Stellantis, will be the fourth biggest producer in the world. Earnings/Financials Chrysler Dodge Fiat Jeep RAM Citroen Peugeot
Chrysler patents smarter minivan folding seats
Thu, 02 Jan 2014It's frightening to think of how quickly the mice would have overtaken us if we hadn't stayed one step ahead of them with better mousetraps. We'll never have to worry about that in our relentlessly re-engineered world, though. Case in point: Chrysler has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for an improved design of the already wondrous Stow 'n' Go seating found in the automaker's Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
Introduced in 2005, the Stow 'n' Go was improved in 2008, and based on the drawings of this third-generation improvement, the new design appears to allow stowage of the second row of seats without having to move the front-row seats forward as much. It look like it also involves fewer operations and moving parts, with a portion of the seatback being incorporated into the flat floor when the seats are stowed, as opposed to having a completely separate cover.
It's possible that the innovation may appear on the next-generation minivans expected in 2015, but Chrysler isn't commenting on the patent.
Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure
Tue, 16 Apr 2013Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.
Diaz left his position to take over as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan. You can read the full press release on the Chrysler personnel changes below for more information.
