For sale is a 2000 Dodge Ram Cummins Diesel Dually 4x2 Automatic.  This has been a great truck and time to sell it since have other trucks.  It has been a really good truck and am the second owner.  The previous owners had the truck in their fleet and used it primarily for going to automotive events.  They kept it indoors and maintained it.  It was maintained by a Cummins Technician for Chrysler in Auburn Hills, Mich.

The truck runs great and pulls nicely like nothing is behind it.  It pulls a 28' enclosed trailer with a car and parts in it with no problem.

The exterior color is burgundy/maroon.

It does have the Cummins Diesel.  The mileage is 185,000 miles which a great deal was from travelling out of state and highway miles.  Always use AMSOIL for oil changes and constant changing oil at regular intervals.  The diesel does have a custom powder coated valve cover as shown.  There are no modifications to the engine...no aftermarket performance parts.

The trucks interior is nice.  The steering wheel does have wear on the top of the steering wheel.  The truck is equipped with radio controls on the steering wheel...change radio stations or increase or decrease volume on back of the steering wheel.  I do have a nice used replacement that will go with the truck or if I have time will change it out.  The truck does have dark gray leather. There are no significant tears.  The driver seat is worn but not bad.  Headliner does have some spots of dirt.  Dash has a crack.   Center console.  The rear bottom seat can fold up and does have the plastic tray storage.  Rear sliding glass and latch is still there to secure it from opening.

New side tow mirrors that fold out when towing

It does have cruise control...really don't use it.

It does have A/C but sometime it gets stale when driving.

Heater works well and new thermostat installed.

The front and rear bumpers are new and have been replaced in 2012.  All of the bumper plastics were replace also.  The driver side gray bumper plastic is not a great fit from the aftermarket company.  Doesn't tuck well on the driver side into the black plastic. Nice shine on chrome!

New front chrome grille and emblem.

New headlights:  passenger and driver side headlights as side lamps are brand new.

The truck did not have any damage when I got it.  I replaced the bumpers since they were dull, had some rust, and dents.  I replaced the headlight because they were foggy.

Also new front driving lamps in bumper.  Never connected them...will need to be connected.

There is a brand new CURT extra heavy duty hitch unlike the weak factory one.  It has the connection for the 8 plug and is in working condition.  It also does have a brake control.

It does have the fifth wheel rails in the bed, but no other attachments.  The bed is a 8 foot box and does have a Pendaliner brand plastic bed liner.

Replaced all four shocks with Monroe shocks winter 2013.

Replaced all Moog Ball ball joints upper and lower.  The ball joints were not cheap and Moog is a great brand.  Each ball joint cost over $100.00.  So $400.00 in ball joints were replaced early 2013.  I also replaced the rotors and front brakes.  The rear brakes were replaced last March 2012.   Unfortunately, while mechanic was installing the ball joints, the ABS wires were cut.  So this throw the brake light and ABS lights on the dash.  I think you can get the left and right wires for about $100.00 for the pair.

It does have a rear sway bar and it recently was powder coated black and new sway links were installed.

Bosch dual batteries.

The tires:  brand new 235 75 16 BF Goodrich Commercial T/A is currently under the truck as the spare tire.  I purchased it new in July 2013.  I used the spare which is a Goodyear on the driver side front.  I was waiting to get new tires, but decided to hold off since I am selling the truck.  The new 235 75 16 BF Goodrich Commercial T/A cost $175.00 new at Discount Tire.

Condition of tires:

Front Driver side left:  was spare tire Goodyear..tread like new
Front Passenger side Right:  purchased new earlier this year 235 75 16 BF Goodrich Commercial T/A.

Rear dually tire; all rear tires are 235 75 16 BF Goodrich Commercial T/A

Driver side outer: needs replacement
Driver side inner:  less than half tread wear

Passenger side outer:  needs replacement
Passenger side inner:  less than half tread wear

The flaws:

There are no major rust issues.  These trucks are know to have rust on the rockers and doors.  The driver side door does have rust on the bottom.  It is weak where the rust shows in the pictures.  The rocker is solid underneath and all other doors do not have any rust.  I was going to replace the driver side door, but never had the chance to find a driver side door.  The driver side doors are different on a quad cab than a regular cab or extended cab.

Rear tail gate three lights do not work.  It was working when last pulled the tail gate off.

It does have scratches throughout truck.  However, there are no major dents.

The driver side rear quad door does not open.  I never opened it up to look at it.  Might be a loose rod or something.  That started to happen June of 2013.

Windshield does have a chip on the passenger side.

There is a long scratch groove.,..yellow of plastic showing on the driver side rear dually flare.

The map light console on roof, right passenger press light does not work.  Sometimes reading of location will be hard to read.

This truck is one of my favorites and describing it as best as I can.  If you have any questions, send a message through Ebay.  The truck can be seen in Sterling Heights, Michigan.  It is a suburb of Detroit.  You are welcome to inspect this vehicle at reasonable time.

Buyer must pay a deposit of $300.00 by PayPal within 48 hours of close of auction.  Remainder is due three days close of auction...no PayPal.  Cash is due upon pick up!

Dodge Durango Shaker concept: A 392 V8 in front of six Viper seats

Tue, Nov 1 2016

When done right, a parts-bin special can be a beautiful thing. This Dodge Durango Shaker concept for the 2016 SEMA show is one such vehicle, and it's easily our favorite Mopar debuting in Vegas. The key, of course, is pulling from the right bins. Take a tour and you'll see Charger, Challenger, and Viper pieces grafted onto this slick crossover. The featured special part is the big, 6.4-liter 392 Hemi V8 that's been dropped under the hood; it's sourced from the SRT Challenger and Charger where it makes 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. With that in place, the fabricators cut a big hole in that hood for the Challenger's awesome optional shaker scoop. It wasn't an easy installation; it required a custom spacer for the intake to make sure everything lined up with the hole properly. View 17 Photos Apparently there were some Viper seats lying around, so six of them were stuck into this Durango. Makes sense. It does lose a bit of people-carrying capability as a result, since only two seats fit in each row, and the seats don't fold for extra cargo room. A Dodge spokesperson attested to the fact that all three rows are usable, if not totally comfortable. But then stock third-row seats aren't always that comfortable anyway. Seriously, though, Viper seats. We don't care how comfortable or usable the result is. Although you might not give it a second thought, even the fuel filler needed some special attention. This piece was also lifted from a Dodge Challenger, and it was taken along with the surrounding sheet metal. Because of the different orientation of the filler cover on the Challenger, the builders decided the easiest way to get it to fit was to chop the fuel filler section out and weld it onto the Durango. The designers also put a little blue Stig on the cover. And those are just the cool parts that were hard to install. This Durango features plenty of other slick details, like the custom bumpers, fender flares, and side skirts. Everything is painted B5 Blue with matte black and carbon accents all around. Up front, the bumper hides a pair of fog lights stolen from a Challenger Hellcat – and yes, they're the ones with intakes in the middle. The grille is also a custom piece, losing the standard crosshair design for better airflow. The fender flares cover up some seriously wide, 305-section tires at all four corners, which are hauled down by Hellcat brakes. The rear bumper bumper contains a stylish center-exit exhaust with dual tips.

2013 Dodge Dart gets brace of new special edition models

Thu, 16 May 2013

After almost a year on the market it, it is becoming more clear to Dodge how customers like to option out their Darts, so the automaker has combined popular features into three special edition packages and sweetened the prices. Start with a standard 2013 Dart and add either the SXT or Limited "Special Editions" or Rallye Appearance Group, and you'll save yourself a lot of box checking.
The $595 Dart SXT Special Edition takes the trim just above the base model and adds a new grille, dark-tinted headlights and projector fog lights, LED racetrack taillights, cruise control and audio controls on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Limited Special Edition starts with the top-end model and adds a power sunroof, heated front seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and Nappa leather seats among other features, for $1,810.
The Rallye Appearance Group (pictured) is a package for the SXT, and it blacks out the front fascia, throws on 17-inch wheels and some badging for $395. The new special editions are reaching dealers now and could help the Dart's sales to further improve after a slow start. You can find out more about them in the press release below.

Daily Driver: 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

Tue, May 26 2015

Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers who drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, reviewed by Greg Migliore. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: [00:00:00] Hey, everybody. It's Greg Migliore and today I am driving a 707-horsepower Dodge Charger. That can only mean one thing: I'm driving the Hellcat. Naturally, the spotlight feature of this car is the 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8. Makes 707 horsepower and 650 pound feet of torque. [00:00:30] Now naturally the engine sounds great and you can hear all of those horses going out the exhaust in back, which I think the Dodge guys have tuned really well. I think it's got one of the more unique sounds in the industry. All that horsepower will do that, but they've tuned it so there's a low kind of growl, and then it burbles and it's angry [00:01:00], it's visceral. I like it. It's intoxicating. It's different than other muscle cars. It's different than European exotics. I think it sounds great. I'm driving in sport right now which allows me to use the paddle shifters. I think it sounds a little better and the shifts of the eight-speed automatic transmission are a little bit more aggressive. For such a powerful car, Dodge did a nice job of tuning it to be actually pretty drivable. I just took a corner right there and the [00:01:30] steering offers you satisfying weight to your inputs. It's a little bit of a heavier steering, especially compared to some of the earlier generation Chargers. It's sporty, but it's not crazy. The design of the Dodge Charger is a critical element. That's why a lot of people buy this car, is it gives them that muscle car heritage look. The Hellcat has some special design cues that are also functional. You've got a couple of extra air intakes up front, keeps everything cool and breathing, the air flowing through; a nice spoiler in back [00:02:00] that helps keep the aero, and the downforce keeps you on the ground. The HID projector headlights really pop, especially at night, and in back you've got the LED taillights that spread out wide across the back end of this car like some of the great Chargers of the past. This car rolls on 20-inch black wheels with a spiderweb design. I think they look good. They're kind of low-key, which I think is great.
