2000 Dodge Ram 3500. I own a wrecker service and I bought this truck to make a wrecker out of it. A friend of mine had a wrecker bed that I was going to use, but a tree fell on the wrecker and the insurance totaled the truck so I wasn't able to get the bed. I know, what are the chances??? This truck had a service bed on it and belonged to a plumber. The truck had been sitting for about a year and half when I bought it. The plumber had bought a new truck and used the service bed that was on the new truck. He kept the truck, just to have an extra truck. Someone stole the gas out of it and broke the fuel pump in the process. So he decided to go ahead and get rid of it. I was looking for a truck to put a wrecker bed on, so i bought it. I replaced the fuel pump. I just replaced the dash and the panel around the gauges. They are both new, not used parts. The seat is in excellent shape. The rest of the interior is also in excellent shape. what it needs on the inside of the truck: cup holder is missing and the door panels are slightly faded. The outside of this truck is in good shape and is clean. The only flaws on the outside of the truck are a few very small dings and the truck used to have a bug shield on the hood. There are some wear spots where the bug shield rubbed. There are few scratches on the simulators. The rear tires are a little weak. The truck has not been driven for a year and a half. Seems a tag sluggish to me. I'm sure it just needs to be driven. I'm sure you will like the truck. It looks very nice and is very clean for this type of truck. I wouldn't have bought the truck to use for myself if it hadn' t been nice. Please call me with any questions. 903-563-2123. I rarely check my email, so call if you have a question. Thanks.

Dodge bringing revamped Challenger, Charger to Big Apple
Mon, 07 Apr 2014The 2014 New York Auto Show will be a big one for Dodge, as the brand has announced that refreshed versions of the 2015 Challenger and 2015 Charger will debut at the show. This is a particularly big deal for the two-door Challenger which, visually, has remained unchanged since is burst back onto the scene in 2008 and helped reignite the muscle car wars.
As a sort of hint, this announcement was accompanied by the picture you see above - the Super Bee logo in the Challenger's new instrument cluster. According to Dodge, the New York debut of a new "powertrain combination" - possibly with the high-output Hellcat V8 - will leave enthusiasts "abuzz."
As for the Charger, Dodge is promising a full redesign that should be a significant departure from the blunt, angry looks of the current model. At this point, there's no indication that the Challenger's new powertrain could be fitted to the Charger, although considering how mechanically similar these two vehicles have been, it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility.
California Highway Patrol powers up with Charger Pursuits
Fri, Jul 22 2016Residents of California, you'll want to adjust your rear-view mirrors and remain vigilant for the menacing maw of the Dodge Charger. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) ordered 580 Dodge Charger Pursuit cars to start replacing the organization's oldest vehicles. According to the CHP's director of communications, Fran Clader, these old cars are patrol versions of the Ford Crown Victoria, Ford Explorer and Dodge Charger. The cars will be delivered over the next two years with the majority equipped with Fiat Chrysler's 3.6-liter V6 engine. The unit makes 292 horsepower in the Charger and is found in everything from the Jeep Wrangler to the Chrysler 200. There will be a handful of Chargers with the 5.7-liter V8 found in the Charger R/T, but Dodge and Clader said they will just be used for training. Bick Pratt, head of FCA US government sales and operations, said the order represents a move back toward four-door police cars. "The CHP is ordering our Charger Pursuit vehicle to reintroduce the sedan into their patrol vehicle fleet," Pratt said. "That's important to us because it reflects a shift back to sedans by a progressive agency like the CHP." Chargers may show up in local law enforcement fleets. Pratt said departments will have the opportunity to also order Charger Pursuits through the CHP's contract. So wherever you are in California, if you see that famous crosshair grille in your rear-view mirror, be ready to pull over. Related video:
Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker and Mopar '14 Challenger up the retro appeal
Wed, 06 Nov 2013The reborn Dodge Challenger might be getting a bit long in the tooth, having been on the market in its current form since 2008, but Chrysler isn't going to give up on its brutish, full-size two-door just yet. For this year's SEMA Show, the Challenger will be getting a new Mopar edition, as well as a retro-cool shaker hood on the 5.7-liter, Hemi-equipped R/T models.
As we mentioned last night, the Shaker Package will cost $2,500, but includes the Super Track Pak (new steering rack, brake linings, upgraded shocks and 20-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car tires), a $595 option on its own. The shaker hood result in a performance bump of any kind, but the blacked-out, pop-up scoop is a nifty feature that hasn't been seen on a production car since the Ford Mustang Mach 1 in the early 2000s.
The Mopar '14 Challenger (pictured right) follows the cues of previous Mopar Editions, which have included the 2010 Challenger, 2011 Charger, 2012 300 and 2013 Dart. Only 100 Mopar '14 Challengers will be produced, and they'll include the new shaker hood, Mopar's distinctive blue graphics and wheels, and whatever is pilfered from the accessory catalog.
