The Dodge Demon is coming, an evil mutation of the Challenger SRT Hellcat

If there's one thing we'll take more of, it's Hellcat. Dodge's 707-horsepower supercharged V8 is a shining star of muscle car ideals. A panacea to the cylinder-count and displacement atrophy. And according to Dodge's new website, www.ifyouknowyouknow.com, a even crazier version of the Challenger SRT Hellcat is on the way. It's called the Dodge Demon. The website features a series of videos that reveal more and more details of the upcoming car. As of this writing, only the first teaser is available, title cage (and also seen above). The final video, and full reveal, of the car, coincides with the dates for the 2017 New York Auto Show. Details are scant at this point. The video, and the press release statement from FCA passenger car chief Tim Kuniskis, point to quarter-mile performance as the Demon's sole purpose in life. Said Kuniskis, "The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is conceived, designed and engineered for a subculture of enthusiasts who know that a tenth is a car and a half second is your reputation." 2015 Dodge Challenger configurator has all the Hellcat you can dream of

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has sucked up a lot of air in the automotive news world this summer, so it's good to know that you can actually go out and, you know, buy the sucker. With 2015 models headed for your local showroom, Dodge has seen fit to also pull the wraps off it's latest Challenger configurator, complete with the supercharged Hemi V8 option that we just can't seem to get enough of.
We're still enamored of the $58,995 starting price for the 707-horsepower SRT, but the online tool finally gives us a chance to see just how optioned up our dream super-muscle coupe can get.
Buyers can choose from three interior treatments and nine paint colors, with two hues (Ivory White and Phantom Black tri-coats) coming for a $500 premium. For $1,795 Laguna Leather SRT bucket seats can be added in place of the (very nice) stock chairs, and a fancier infotaiment system with navigation and HD radio runs $695.

2016 Dodge Viper ACR priced from $117,895

Fancy getting your hands on the all-new Dodge Viper ACR? Prepare to shell out at least $117,895, not counting destination or gas-guzzler tax. Those two add $1,995 and $2,100, respectively, for an out-the-door price of $121,990. That's $32,900 more than a base 2015 Viper, or the equivalent of a Challenger with a few options. As we explained previously, the ACR model doesn't do much for outright power – the 8.4-liter V10 offers up only five more ponies than before – but it does add suspension and aerodynamic upgrades that make this particular Viper far more potent on the track.
