Dodge Cummins 4x4 Club Cab Diesel Ford 7.3 Power Stroke 4x4 Diesel 12 Valve on 2040-cars
Kingman, Arizona, United States
I love driving this truck, it is very comfortable, runs great, gets a good 17 miles per gallon, however a baby on the way forces sale of this truck. I purchased this truck out of Scottsdale, Arizona. the owner stated the paint was one year old, and he had the power steering box and tie rods replaced. I have replaced the rear u joints and the carrier bearing on the rear drive line, I have also had the drivers door shimmed and a pin kit installed. The wing windows have some wind noise while at hiway speeds, however I put folded pieces of paper in the latches and that eliminated the wind niose. there is no rust that I can see under the truck or on the body of the truck. The truck is also missing one hub cap. there does seem to be a little oil seepage around the engine and on the transfer case. however it is not dripping, or leaving drip marks on my driveway. The tires are in good shape with approx 60% tread life left. There is a full size spare under the bed. The tail gate opens and closes very easily. Every where I go with this truck I get compliments. This is the 8th dodge cummins diesel I have owned and it is by far the best one. I bought a brand new one back in 2001 and this one drives better today with 300,000 miles on it than my 2001 ever did brand new! If you have zero feed back do not bid! I will immediately cancel your bid if you have zero feedback, If you have negative feed back please call me before you bid, if you do not call me prior to bidding and you have negative feedback I will cancel your bid! This truck is located in Kingman, Arizona. There is a small airport with connecting flights to Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona. There is also a grayhound bus station and an amtrak train station, if you win this truck I will assist in loading this truck for transport, I will also pick you up at the airport here in Kingman, or the buss stop, or the train station. I expect a deposit of $500.00 through paypal within 48 hours of auction end. I expect the remainder of the payment to be made in cash in person. This truck will not leave with out payment being made in full. I have a clean notarized Arizona title in my name. The truck is available for inspection and test driving, just call me first, this truck is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early if this truck sells locally. My name is Jon and please call me at 928-279-7671, if I do not answer please leave your name and number and I will get back to you, I am out of cell phone range quite often.

How fracking is causing Chrysler minivans to sit on Detroit's riverfront
Fri, 25 Apr 2014It's fascinating the way that one change to a complex system can have all sorts of unintended consequences. For instance, there are hundreds of new Chrysler Town and County and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans built in Windsor, Ontario, sitting in lots on the Detroit waterfront because of the energy boom in the Bakken oil field in the northern US and parts of Canada.
The huge amount of crude oil coming from these sites mostly use freight trains for transport, and that supply boom has resulted in a shortage of railcars to carry other goods. According to The Windsor Star, North American crude oil transport by train has gone from 9,500 carloads in 2008 to 434,032 carloads in 2013. Making matters worse, some North American rail infrastructure is still damaged because of this year's harsh winter, and that's slowing things down even further.
Chrysler admits to The Star that it has had some delivery delays due to the freight train shortage. In the meantime, it's using more trucks to deliver its vehicles. Trucking is a far less economical solution, partially because a train can carry so many more units at one time, but alternatives are slim. The Windsor plant alone has a deal for 33 trucks to distribute the minivans around Canada and the Midwestern US.
Fiat Chrysler expands Takata airbag recall to 3.3M vehicles
Fri, Dec 19 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is expanding its recall of vehicles equipped with Takata airbags, moving beyond Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands to the greater US, as well as Mexico, Canada and beyond. The affected vehicles, some 3.3 million in total, were built between 2004 and 2007, with many models, including the Dodge Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500, Durango and the Chrysler 300, having been affected by Chrysler's previous recall. Despite the somewhat alarming nature that comes with a recall of this many vehicles, it seems that Chrysler is moving more out of an abundance of caution (and federal pressure) than anything else, saying: "Neither FCA US, nor Takata Corporation, the supplier, has identified a defect in this population of inflators. These components also are distinct from Takata inflators cited in fatalities involving other auto makers. More than 1,000 laboratory tests have been performed on these components. All deployed as intended, but FCA US continues to study the suspect inflators, which are not used in the Company's current production vehicles." Owners of affected vehicles will be notified and asked to report to dealers for a free replacement driver's side airbag. Scroll down for the official press release from FCA. Statement: Global Air-Bag Inflator Replacement December 19, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC will replace driver's-side air-bag inflators in an estimated 3.3 million older-model vehicles worldwide, in an expansion of an ongoing regional field action. Neither FCA US, nor Takata Corporation, the supplier, has identified a defect in this population of inflators. These components also are distinct from Takata inflators cited in fatalities involving other auto makers. More than 1,000 laboratory tests have been performed on these components. All deployed as intended, but FCA US continues to study the suspect inflators, which are not used in the Company's current production vehicles. Outside of Florida, one of the areas covered by the original action, no FCA US vehicle has been linked to an air-bag deployment of the type that has raised public concern. Nevertheless, the Company is replacing the Takata components tied to that concern. FCA US is aware of one related injury involving one of its vehicles, an older-model sedan. It occurred in a southern Florida region marked by persistent, high, absolute humidity – a condition believed to be a contributing factor in the air-bag deployments under investigation.
Aficionauto drives Vin Diesel's fast and furious 1970 Dodge Charger
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The Aficionauto host Christopher Rutkowski has a real passion for original and replica cars from movies and television, whether they are from James Bond, Jurassic Park, or incredibly obscure Japanese shows. However, he might have outdone himself this time because he hopped into one of the biggest automotive stars of contemporary cinema. This 1970 Dodge Charger appeared in Fast & Furious and came back in Fast Five, where Paul Walker actually drove it. The menacing, black muscle car will make its return to the franchise in the seventh film, too.
The Fast and Furious Charger is a real beast no matter how you look at it. The interior is nothing more than two seats and a roll cage, and as the video shows, this thing vibrates constantly like a coiled mass of muscle ready to strike. The camera can barely stay in place most of the time. Also, Dom's Dodge is more than happy to do a smoky burnout and leave the driver partially deaf afterward from its wonderful, ear-splitting engine roar.
The Aficionauto also interviews the man who controls the keys to this beast. Bob Hartwig was once an F-15 pilot, but he also loved Hollywood vehicles. Now, he's a partner at Picture Car Warehouse, a company with about 850 cars that supplies vehicles to film studios. This Charger definitely seems to be Hartwig's favorite in the collection, as it should be.
