Dodge diesel 2500 SLT 4X4 2001 extended cab pickup truck 8' bed with extra set of mounted tires on stock alloy rims included as shown in the bed. Automatic transmission was recently replaced with new heavy duty performance transmission and torque converter, new front brakes, rotors calipers and pads, K and N filter unit, new performance fuel pump and injector pump as shown in photo, oil changed every 4,000 miles with new filter and rotella oil. New stainless steel exhaust four inch from turbo back to five inch tailpipe. Truck is a two owner unit and has usual scratches and dings. Tail gate has been replaced, some minor rust on fenders, also paint bubbling on bottom of doors, one seam is opening up on drivers seat about 8" long can easily be sewn. The engine runs strong with no problems and starts easily even here in cold Maine. The transmission shifts correctly. The truck is ready to go. 2015 Dodge Viper price drops $15k for 2015
Mon, 08 Sep 2014We recently saw updated specs and new trims of the 2015 Viper, but it looks like the folks at Dodge were saving the biggest surprise for last. Prices on all levels of the American sports car are seeing an immediate, across-the-board price cut of $15,000; even 2014 models still remaining on dealer lots.
The new MSRP for the 2015 Viper in its base SRT trim now starts at $84,995, and when the TA and GTS come to the lineup later next year, they start at $100,995 and $107,995, respectively. The move seems like a swing for the fences that might help to quell slow sales.
Obviously, current Viper owners might be somewhat peeved that their investment was just re-priced by the company. However, to assuage some of their concerns, Dodge is giving all fifth-gen owners a certificate worth $15,000 towards the purchase of a new one, which comes in addition to the price reduction.
Detroit's new fleet of donated police cars have safety issues [w/video]
Wed, 23 Oct 2013In a show of generosity in mid-August, Detroit's business leaders donated $8 million to the Police Department and Fire Department in order to buy 100 new police vehicles and 23 EMS ambulances. But now officers have discovered - and complained - that the police vehicles have glaring safety issues, Deadline Detroit reports. It is not made clear what models of the fleet vehicles - which include police versions of the Ford Taurus, the Chevrolet Caprice and the Dodge Charger - are affected by the safety issues.
Officers reportedly have complained that the Plexiglass partition separating front-seat officers and back-seat prisoners is easily breached, and that the front passenger seat is installed too close to the dashboard. Prisoners who manage to writhe out of their handcuffs can bend the Plexiglass and reach into the cockpit, and sitting too close to the dashboard can render airbags more dangerous and make officers more vulnerable to injury in a crash.
Mark Diaz, president of the Detroit Police Officers Association, received the complaints and reportedly said the vehicles would get safety updates addressing the issues. But Deadline Detroit reports that it checked some of the offending police cars and, as of the last few days, they hadn't been updated.
