THIS IS A SUPERB EXAMPLE OF THE BEST TRUCK EVER BUILT.  REMARKABLY CLEAN.  ZERO RUST.  RUNS LIKE A BRAND NEW TRUCK.  THE INTERIOR OF THIS PICKUP IS IN MINT CONDITION.  THE HIGH QUALITY SEAT COVERS HAVE BEEN ON SINCE DAY ONE.  ZERO CRACKS IN DASH.  GLASS IS PERFECT.  THIS 4X4 DIESEL EXTRA CAB HAS BEEN KEPT IN PRISTINE CONDITION.

THE EXTERIOR OF THE TRUCK WAS REPAINTED A FEW YEARS BACK, AND IT IS A QUALITY PAINT JOB.  WIMBLEDON WHITE WITH MAROON ACCENTS, IT IS A GOOD LOOKING COMBO.  THERE WAS NO RUST ON THIS TRUCK AT THE TIME OF REPAINT, RATHER A TYPICAL 1992 DODGE WITH PAINT PEELING.  LOOK AT THE PHOTOS, THEY SHOW THE QUALITY.

THIS TRUCK HAS THE AIR-RIDE SUSPENSION SYSTEM INSTALLED (A $2200.00 OPTION) WITH AN AIR TANK UNDER THE FRONT BUMPER AND AN AIR GAUGE MOUNTED INSIDE THE CAB)  THE SYSTEM WORKS PERFECTLY.  THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS 'AS NEW'.  IT SHIFTS PERFECTLY.  THE TRUCK COMES WITH A DOCUMENTED HISTORY OF ALL MAINTENANCE RECORDS.  IN ADDITION, THE FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL (about 2 INCHES THICK) IS INCLUDED IN THE SALE.  RUBBER MAT IN THE BED.  NO BALL IN THE BED EVER, AS THIS TRUCK WAS USED TO PULL A BOAT FROM TIME TO TIME.  REAR BUMPER HITCH AND ALSO A FRONT BUMPER MOUNTED BALL FOR MOVING THE BOAT INTO THE PREVIOUS OWNERS DRIVEWAY.

EVRYTHING ON THIS TRUCK WORKS.  ALL GAUGES, RADIO, CLOCK, WIPERS, LIGHTS, 4X4, AIR CONDITIONER, EVERYTHING IS SPOT ON.  THE ONLY BLEMISH ON THE ENTIRE TRUCK IS A 2 INCH CRACK IN THE CHROME/PLASTIC GRILL. (SEE PHOTO).  THATS IT!  NO DENTS OR DINGS, NOT EVEN IN THE BUMPERS.  TRUCK IS RIDING ON ALMOST NEW HIGH DOLLAR MICHELIN ALL SEASON TIRES.  THE INTERIOR CARPETING LOOKS NEW AND COMES WITH HEAVY RUBBER FLOOR MATS, LOOK LIKE NEW.

THE MILEAGE IS ACURATE AT 125,685 AND IS VERIFIED BY THE CARFAX I RAN ON THIS TRUCK BEFORE I BOUGHT IT.  THE ORIGINAL OWNER OWNED IT FOR 124,000 MILES, SOLD IT TO HIS NEIGHBOR WHO PUT LESS THAN 1000 MILES ON IT.  I BOUGHT IT FROM HIM SO IT IS LIKE A ONE-OWNER VEHICLE.  SO GET YOUR BIDS IN IF YOU WANT TO BE THE PROUD OWNER OF THIS CUMMINS DIESEL BEAUTY.  I HAVE AN EXTENSIVE HISTORY OF ALL RECEIPTS FROM DAY ONE, INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER.

ANY QUESTION SUBMITTED TO MY EMAIL WILL BE ANSWERED ASAP.  I WORK DURING THE DAY, SO MOST EMAILS WILL GET ANSWERED IN THE EVENING.

NORWOOD COLORADO IS 60 MILES FROM MONTROSE COLORADO AIRPORT (MTJ).  IF YOU FLY HERE TO DRIVE IT HOME, I WILL PICK YOU UP AT MONTROSE AIRPORT.  TELLURIDE AIRPORT (TEX) IS 35 MILES AWAY AND IT HAS LIMITED FLIGHTS BUT I WILL PICK UP THERE AS WELL.  CHEERS AND HAPPY BIDDING.

I AM OFFERING THIS TRUCK AT NO RESERVE AS I AM CONFIDENT THE EBAY AUDIENCE IS WELL EDUCATED AND WILL BRING A FAIR PRICE.  IF YOU WANT TO SUBMIT ME AN OFFER VIA EMAIL, THAT WOULD BE FINE.  I WILL NOT END THE AUCTION EARLY UNTIL I HAVE RECEIVED PAYMENT.

IF THE AUCTION GOES TO COMPLETION, I REQUIRE A $500 PAYPAL DEPOSIT and FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 7 DAYS.  I OWN A STORAGE COMPANY SO I CAN ASSIST IN STORING THE TRUCK INDOORS FOR A WEEK OR TWO.  ANY BIDDERS WITH NEGATIVE FEEDBACK NEED TO EMAIL ME BEFORE BIDDING, OTHERWISE WILL BE REJECTED.

Gas prices down, 707-hp engine production up... USA!

Tue, Jun 30 2015

On Saturday, the United States of America will celebrate its 239th birthday. That means fireworks, barbecues, block parties, and, oh yeah, Hellcat engines and low fuel prices. The most American of (Mexican-built) powerplants, the big, loud, supercharged, 707-horsepower Hemi is slated for yet another production boost to match up with some serious demand, while the dino juice it runs on is cheaper than it's been in over half a decade. The Saltillo, Mexico engine factory already produces some 4,000 Hellcat engines each year – that's in addition to the Tigershark four-cylinder, the 5.7-liter Hemi, and 6.4-liter SRT Hemi V8s – and it's not entirely clear how many more might get added to that total. What we do know, though, is that Fiat Chrysler can't build the engines fast enough. "We're going to build more [Hellcats] for 2016," SRT boss Tim Kuniskis told Automotive News. "It's a small sliver of what we sell, but it really creates a halo for the rest of the lineup. For example, the next highest car, the Scat Pack Challenger, I have essentially a zero-day supply. It's sold out." This bit of good news comes on the back of something equally good – low summer gas prices. According to the US Energy Information Administration, the nationwide average for for "all formulations" of fuel in June sits at $2.885. Ignoring the remarkably low prices we saw in January and February of this year – figures that themselves hadn't been seen since May of 2009 – the national average hasn't sat that low since October 2010. So yes, it's a very a good time to be an American gearhead. Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.

Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set

Tue, Jul 19 2022

Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, hence  the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950s and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with the American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
