Hello diesel family and friends, my name is Tom my wife and I have been licensed PA new and used Truck dealers since the late 70's and have been involved in diesel trucks as our speciality. We have recently downsized to a small mom and pop operation here in carlisle PA (E-Motors) to sell 2 or 3 trucks a month, we are small and I do this more for a hobby than anything else.(low overhead low prices)

I know these Cummins diesel trucks inside and out and I personally drive one and love these trucks emmensley. What I hate the older ones here in the northeast since they just melt away from all the rust and bondo they are loaded up with so I fly out west to Southern California, and other west coast and southern states to buy a few clean rustfree 1 owners and drive them home to sell in the northeast to folks who have never seen a no rust old 24 valve. Trust me they are not cheep, but worth the extra if you can swing it.

A few things to know before bidding or becomming interested in one of my trucks, I do not play games with the price, I do my homework price for fast cash sales on the buy it now that is what I need, however serious cash buyers are encouraged to bring cash offers, no lowballers please its just a total waste of time, do the homework and reasrech what these old mint 12 valves actually are selling for and you'll see my price is right on, then come up I'll make it sweeter! No financing bring up cash or bank checks guys. I'm on call 7 days a week to check out this awesome truck in person, or just send the cash well have it in your driveway in a flash.

I do not take trades on my diesels unless you bring up the trade for an apprasial or no trade , but I also do airport pickup at Harrisburg International, I am a bonded tag agent and issue temp tags/title transfer on the spot at my office, I also do long or short deliverys and have on call hours 7 days a week from 9-9 east time. 717 991 0568

I reserve the right to close down ebay for any cash buyer with deposit online on phone or on lot, I deal first come first served with deposit, I'm avaiable 7 days a week for info or looks in person truck is on display at lot for all to inspect prior to buying,,,, E Motors 1649 Trindle Rd Carlisle Pa or just call for appointment,

thanks Tom 717 991 0568

My promise is to deal on a "do unto others as I'd want done to me" basis. I will represent all vehicles professionally, and deal up front and honestly, treat all customers or callers with the utmost respect and courtesy, using my abilitys, experence and talents to help all buyers get the best truck and deal possible wheather its from me of another seller, rule number 1 is to be a blessing and the blessings to me will follow eventually, my only request is you deal with me in a similar fashion, thanks folks looking fordward to meeting you...Tom 717 991 0568

Ok guys and gals, here is the scoop. I bought this 97 Dodge Ram 2500 Larimie SLT 12 valve extended cab 4x4 last fall from one of my new car dealers in Santa Rosa California and drove it all the way back to PA. Truck drove awesome but the best part is that there is no salt or rust out there so the body is mint.

Mechanically it is very well cared for I read through the servace history and she is completly up to date. Hit the key and the 12 valve fires right up on a few turns, no leaks no blow by just pure cummins music to any mechanics ear. I myself tuned up the pump just a little to give it the power like a 24v and a tiny blast of black smoke. I did just adjust the valves, install a new crank seal, timing cover gasket and sealed off the KDP. The record shows a new rebuilt automatic transmission at 149000, ball joints at 189000 and track bar, so she is completly currant. New filters and fluids, really drives great with no issues, all gauges working, has 5" side exhaust, 2 new 850 crank batteries, 355 rear ratios, 21 mpg's and more.

Cosmetically the body is straight and paint is clean and glossey. Clear coats are good too, trucks frame is to just die for if your fromn Upstate NY or anyplace in the rust zone, you've never seen anything like it, oil pan brake lines can be eaten off of.

Inside the interior it is a clean non smokers older customer owned. No stains, smells cracks tears ect.. Headliner, seats, door panels all near mint cond. very minimal wear and tear in and out much less than to be expected from a 97 pickup truck.

If you fly in to drive her home come with 100% full confidence you will be driving a truck i personally drove in across this great land and that is before I fully went all over it, she is ready to rock and roll, and remember these 12 valves are bulletproof anyway I just made it better...

In closing folks please remember the higher shelf stuff you buy anything whatever it is, will  alaways be a little extra, if your looking for crap then check elsewhare and pay crap price, if your looking for "the one" then lets get together I got it, dont be another statistic, pay up little more and be done and enjoy! Its what I learned in 40 years of doing this.... Well good luck please feel free to call text or email anytime

Ram exec: first 30-mpg pickup truck will 'win'

Fri, Aug 8 2014

It is totally possible, today, to take the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel pickup truck, load it up with gear and people, and drive it from Texas to Michigan while getting 38 miles per gallon. We know because we did it. Officially, though, the 1500 gets just 20 mpg combined. A more impressive number is the 28 mpg on the highway. Bob Hegbloom, the Ram brand director, thinks that there's a more important fuel economy target to hit: 30 mpg. Whichever truck company can manage that feat, he recently told Automotive News, "wins." It's kind of an obvious thing to say, but in the 1500 with both the EcoDiesel and the V6 Pentastar engine, Hegbloom said, "fuel economy is so important." Hegbloom didn't promise that the next EcoDiesel truck will manage to get on up over the 30 hump, but he did say that Ram is not sitting still when it comes to fuel economy. "I just want to have continuous improvement and to keep gaining every day," he said. "We sat still in the past and it doesn't lead to a great place."

EV cost burden pushing automakers to their limits, says Stellantis' CEO Tavares

Wed, Dec 1 2021

DETROIT — Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said external pressure on automakers to quickly shift to electric vehicles potentially threatens jobs and vehicle quality as producers struggle with EVs' higher costs. Governments and investors want car manufacturers to speed up the transition to electric vehicles, but the costs are "beyond the limits" of what the auto industry can sustain, Tavares said in an interview at the Reuters Next conference released Wednesday. "What has been decided is to impose on the automotive industry electrification that brings 50% additional costs against a conventional vehicle," he said. "There is no way we can transfer 50% of additional costs to the final consumer because most parts of the middle class will not be able to pay." Automakers could charge higher prices and sell fewer cars, or accept lower profit margins, Tavares said. Those paths both lead to cutbacks. Union leaders in Europe and North America have warned tens of thousands of jobs could be lost. Automakers need time for testing and ensuring that new technology will work, Tavares said. Pushing to speed that process up "is just going to be counter productive. It will lead to quality problems. It will lead to all sorts of problems," he said. Tavares said Stellantis is aiming to avoid cuts by boosting productivity at a pace far faster than industry norm. "Over the next five years we have to digest 10% productivity a year ... in an industry which is used to delivering 2 to 3% productivity" improvement, he said. "The future will tell us who is going to be able to digest this, and who will fail," Tavares said. "We are putting the industry on the limits." Electric vehicle costs are expected to fall, and analysts project that battery electric vehicles and combustion vehicles could reach cost parity during the second half of this decade. Like other automakers that earn profits from combustion vehicles, Stellantis is under pressure from both establishment automakers such as GM, Ford, VW and Hyundai, as well as start-ups such as Tesla and Rivian. The latter electric vehicle companies are far smaller in terms of vehicle sales and employment. But investors have given Tesla and Rivian higher market valuations than the owner of the highly profitable Jeep and Ram brands. That investor pressure is compounded by government policies aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions. The European Union, California and other jurisdictions have set goals to end sales of combustion vehicles by 2035.
