2006 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins 5.9 Laramie, 49000 Original Miles on 2040-cars
Danbury, Connecticut, United States
Hello, and thank
you for viewing our listing. Here we have our 2006 loaded RAM 2500 4X4 Laramie
high output Cummins with less than 50k miles. We are the original owner, this
is a southern pickup, having purchased new in Scottsdale, AZ, and then in TX.
Recently we took the truck to Fairfield County, CT as my son was interested in
purchasing, but we couldn’t agree on price so we are making it available to a
new owner. The vehicle is located in Fairfield County, Southwest CT. No DEF
here, this is the last of the 5.9L Cummins that I got 20+ MPG, often 22 MPG
here in TX. Reason for selling, we purchased a new one. This RAM is loaded
with virtually every available option from the Laramie package with leather,
factory Navi, 6-disc factory system which I was told is made by infinity. PS,
PW, cold A/C, power heated seats, tilt, drop down rear seat video, bed liner, factory
SS step running boards, factory tinted glass, power sliding rear window, front
tow hooks, rear hitch with brake controller and chrome step and tow bumper
which has a 6” dent, front driving lights, dual batteries, high output
alternator, center up/down console with dual opening compartments, dual
driver/passenger climate control, alarm system with remote monitoring, remote
start, power rear sliding window, and locking tailgate. I am sure I am forgetting some, it would have been
easier to list what it doesn’t have which is a sunroof (not available with roof
mounted drop down video). Always serviced at the local Dodge dealer. When purchased new
we upgraded the factory audio/video system at a high end shop in Tempe, AZ. Added
were a pager alarm system with remote start, an amp and sub, an additional DVD
player installed under the passenger seat, and all the factory speakers were
upgraded. The rear seat video has 2 wireless headphones or the audio from video
can be listened to through the installed factory radio and upgraded speakers. There are a few
negatives with this RAM. First there is about a 6” vertical crease in the left
rear corner of the rear step and tow bumper, there are some carpet stains,
there is a dent under the fuel filler, the common 2006 RAM tach operates
erratically at times, and an about 6” hairline paint crack in the left side front
bumper paint. I am not aware of any other defects, We are setting the
Buy It Now price below the KBB private party sale value and we will also
consider offers. Mileage at time of listing is 49,608, which may change a
little as we still use occasionally. We also have this listed on other than
ebay so should the vehicle sell we reserve the right to cancel this ebay
listing. Please look at the photos, ask any questions, the vehicle is available
for review by appointment. Have many more photos, just send a request with your
email. We have a clean
blue TX title with no liens, never has had any liens. No warranty, expressed or
implied, and no refunds, returns. This is an original owner low mileage Cummins
that was well over 50k MSRP. I believe we still have the original window
sticker. $500.00 non refundable deposit within 48 hours via paypal, balance by
certified funds, or cash, no paypal on balance. Buyer is responsible for pickup
or transportation arrangements from Danbury, CT 06811. Vehicle can be picked up
as soon as funding clears. Thank you. I have
been holding off selling this vehicle for some time as I like it more than the
2012 RAM I purchased to replace it. I am very reluctant to sell this RAM
Cummins 2500 as I have owned 5 of these Ram Cummins since 1993 and this one is
the best one I have owned. If you have any questions, please ask them prior to
placing your bid. If you are local, or know someone who is, please consider
coming to see the truck in person. Different things are important to different
people, and while I have tried to describe all important aspects of the
vehicle, it's impossible to cover every last detail. Thank you. |

Dodge Vipers selling for $480k in China
Wed, Apr 29 2015Want to get your hands on a new Dodge Viper? Be prepared to pay dearly. It starts at nearly $90k here in the US, but that's nothing compared to what you'd have to pay for one if you lived in, say, China. CarsNewsChina.com reports on one Viper available in Beijing for an eye-watering 298 million yuan – equivalent to about $480,000 at today's exchange rates and representing more than a 500-percent markup. Part of that premium comes down to the Chinese tax code that charges a reported 60 percent for anything with an engine displacing over four liters. And the Viper's, we needn't remind you, is more than twice that. It naturally costs some to import a car to China as well, but most of the rest is pure profit. The Beijing dealership reportedly gets the cars from dealers in California, has already sold three and plans to import several more. The dealer can also get you (or wealthy Chinese individuals) a Corvette Stingray for a comparatively cheap 1.73 million yuan (or $280k). Related Video:
Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set
Tue, Jul 19 2022Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, hence the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950s and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with the American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome
Fri, Dec 5 2014The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first.
