2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie Crew Cab Pickup Quad Cab 4wd Cummins on 2040-cars
Athens, Pennsylvania, United States
I bought this truck last October to replace another truck I sold. I don't use the truck enough to warrant keeping it around, so I am selling it to pay off another vehicle. The truck was not ever used and abused from what I can see. The previous two owners never hauled anything more than a small utility trailer, and I only occasionally hauled a car trailer with small hondas loaded. It is pretty clean inside and out, but I am sure if you look enough you can find some very minor imperfections. The only modifications that have ever been done are the 3" suspension lift and a Magnaflow 5" exhaust. No tuner or programmer has ever been used on it to my knowledge. It starts up right away without hesitation, the engine runs great, and the automatic transmission shifts like it should. The following parts have been replaced in the last 5,000 miles:
- front brakes and rotors - 3" Daystar suspension lift with shocks - 285/75-17 Mastercraft AXT tires (10 ply) - two new batteries - Black Recon LED clearance lights and cab lights - Pioneer cd player with USB and AUX hookup - Oil/oil filter change - Fuel Filter change The only known issues that I have noticed are a squealing noise from the rear brakes and the wiper switch is not functioning correctly (it will only work on high). I will either have both issues fixed for the new owner, or I will adjust the price accordingly. Thanks for looking! |

Dodge recalling 2k SRT Hellcat Challengers and Chargers for fuel leak
Tue, Mar 3 2015Bad news for fans of the obscene output of the Dodge Hellcat twins, as FCA has announced a voluntary recall of both 707-horsepower variants of the 2015-model-year Charger sedan and Challenger coupe. According to FCA, a total of 2,211 cars are being recalled after a dealer discovered a "possible fuel leak" during a pre-delivery inspection. Despite getting cleared by suppliers, FCA claims its engineers found "improperly installed" hose seals. Owners of affected vehicles will receive notification and be asked to report in for repairs. Of the vehicles affected, the overwhelming majority, 2,012, were sold in the US market. The remainder were sold in Canada (148), Mexico (30) and just 21 outside of North America. Fiat/PSA's dominance in small vans hangs up EU's merger approval
Mon, Jun 8 2020BRUSSELS — EU antitrust regulators are concerned about Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot / PSA's combined high market share in small vans and may require concessions to clear their $50 billion merger, people familiar with the matter said. The companies, which are seeking to create the world's fourth biggest carmaker, were told of the European Commission's concerns last week. If Fiat and PSA fail to dispel the European Commission's doubts in the next two days and subsequently decline to offer concessions by Wednesday, the deadline for doing so, the deal would face a four-month-long investigation. The EU competition enforcer, which has set a June 17 deadline for its preliminary review, declined to comment. Fiat was not immediately available for comment while PSA had no immediate comment. Hiving off overlapping businesses, usually a regulatory demand to ensure more competition, could prove tricky for the carmakers because of the technicalities. Fiat and PSA are looking to merge to help offset slowing demand and shoulder the cost of making cleaner vehicles to meet tougher emissions regulations. The deal puts under one roof the Italian carmaker's brands such as Fiat, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Maserati and the French company's Peugeot, Opel and DS. Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
