Here is a very clean low mileage 2001 dodge 2500 4x4 quad cab, equipped with the bullet proof 24v Cummins turbo diesel. this truck has under 100,000 miles and runs great fires right up and purrs. this is a second owner truck so it does have some minor dings and scratches. interior is in great shape except for cracks in the dash which is very common for these trucks. this truck has almost all of the steering components replaced from the steering gear box to the intermediate shaft. It has the essential steering brace that eliminates frame flex. New upper ball joints, tie rod ends etc. cold air intake, 4 inch dual exhaust, edge 3 level tuner, 2 inch front leveling kit, gooseneck ball and rails for fifth wheel hitch, electric brake controller. power heated tow mirrors, new windshield, custom tail lights, running lights. And I'm sure I have forgotten a couple of things, but the bottom line is the truck runs amazing and sounds great. the truck was purchased from a dealer who got it from an insurance company due to a theft recovery, so it does have a salvage title, but the truck has a clean car fax with no accidents. I don't know what else to say about this truck, it is great, and the only reason I'm selling is because I am trying to add on to my house and need more money, and I have another truck to pull my camper. so just keep in mind this isn't a new truck, it does have average wear and tear for its age. 2015 Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car burns rubber into SEMA [w/video]
Tue, 04 Nov 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is showing off a completely redesigned Dodge Charger Funny Car at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas and it's ready to blow through the NHRA timing lights next year. Initially, the shape might look like any of the other entrants in its class burning through the quarter mile, but this is the first comprehensive rethink for the racecar's aerodynamics since 2006, says Dodge.
Draped in classy red and black Mopar livery, the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car tries to share the front and rear styling with its roadgoing counterpart, plus the scallops along the side, but this racer is all about crossing the finish line first.
The major goals for the redesign included making the body stronger and lighter without sacrificing aerodynamics, and that has been done with materials like Kevlar and carbon fiber. However, engineers have accomplished even more. By moving the cockpit further back, they've increased engine clearance and improved driver visibility.
Dodge Scat Packages add Mopar performance upgrades in three stages
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Dodge has revealed what it calls Scat Package Stage Kits that enhance the performance of the Charger and the Challenger equipped with the 5.7-liter V8, and the Dart equipped with the turbocharged 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine. The Scat Packs use Mopar performance parts that also can be bought separately. Most of the upgrades increase engine output, but Dodge somehow manages to not specifically mention the power gains associated with each Scat Pack.
The three Scat Packs offered for the V8-powered cars focus on higher power ratings, and each stage comes complete with a unique engine-management calibration to optimize output. Stage one comes with a cold-air intake and a cat-back exhaust; stage two adds a performance camshaft; and stage three really gives you the goods, adding ported polished cylinder heads and performance headers.
For the Dart, the Scat Packs focus on engine, transmission, chassis and brake upgrades. Stage one will net you a cold-air intake, a short-throw shifter and slotted rotors with performance brake pads; stage two adds a cat-back exhaust system and an engine-management calibration to increase output by taking advantage of premium-octane gasoline; and stage three adds 13-inch vented brake discs up front clamped by four-piston calipers, suspension with adjustable springs and struts and performance front and rear antiroll bars.
Dodge bringing revamped Challenger, Charger to Big Apple
Mon, 07 Apr 2014The 2014 New York Auto Show will be a big one for Dodge, as the brand has announced that refreshed versions of the 2015 Challenger and 2015 Charger will debut at the show. This is a particularly big deal for the two-door Challenger which, visually, has remained unchanged since is burst back onto the scene in 2008 and helped reignite the muscle car wars.
As a sort of hint, this announcement was accompanied by the picture you see above - the Super Bee logo in the Challenger's new instrument cluster. According to Dodge, the New York debut of a new "powertrain combination" - possibly with the high-output Hellcat V8 - will leave enthusiasts "abuzz."
As for the Charger, Dodge is promising a full redesign that should be a significant departure from the blunt, angry looks of the current model. At this point, there's no indication that the Challenger's new powertrain could be fitted to the Charger, although considering how mechanically similar these two vehicles have been, it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility.
