2001 Dodge Ram 2500HD 4x4 Quad Cab SLT Plus 155" Wheel Base

Extended Cab plus 8' Box

It was primarily used to haul their truck camper on hunting trips out west, as well as to travel in the Fall to their Winter Home in Florida. This truck spent most of it's winters in Florida.

It was his secondary vehicle, and not driven daily.

Always stored in a garage, and always maintained.

This is a true Old man, one owner truck. I have 76 pictures in high resolution that I will email to anyone interested. Additional pictures can be taken by request. The Truck is also available to be viewed or test driven almost any time during the day. Please feel free to email if you have any questions that I do not answer in the below information.

I will start at the front of the truck and work back, trying to point out things I noticed. There are also a few extra add on's that will be noted as well.

Paint / Body is the only minor downfall of the truck. There are some small hail like dents in the hood, as well as some scratches here and there. There is one small dent in the rear, above the passenger side of the bumper, above the exhaust tip. It can be seen in the pictures. I have no doubt that a body shop could have the truck looking "like new" without very much work.

The truck is equipped with a Chrome brush guard. Very sturdy, great shape. Polishes up nicely.

Lund bug guard, on the hood, in good overall condition.

Under the hood, there is a freshly cleaned / maintained K&N air filter. Also is a Edge Products Inc programmer. I am unsure of it's capabilities, but through Edge Products I'm sure they could be more informative. There is also a FULL Stainless steel exhaust system from front to back. I know the gentleman who owned this truck was very big on fuel Mileage, thus the appropriate modifications.

There are TWO Deka Batteries, both of which are Brand New.

There is currently an oil change planned for the truck at a local diesel repair shop.

The windshield has normal wear and tear, and does have one chip on the passenger side. There are Lund window shields installed on the driver and passenger front doors. All 4 doors open like they should, and all handles and window switches work.

Interior wise, the truck is very clean for 12 years old. We gave the truck a vaccuum, and wipe down but in the pictures some areas could use a little more attention to obtain a "like new" appearance. All switches and functions work on this truck. Heated, Power Leather seats! The stereo is a great sounding stock unit.

There is storage underneath the rear seat. Also a spacious middle console in the front seat that holds plenty your things. There are floor mats in the front.

The truck has Lund running boards. They are in good condition, however have some scratching which I think is from entry/exit.

The Topper is a Century Fiberglass model, the tallest topper available. All windows function as they should. The rear window of the topper closes and opens great, with two locking mechanisms. The driver side latches great, the passenger side needs some adjustment. I believe the topper may have shifted from it's mounts over time. The truck bed is protected by a plastic liner, and then a rubber matt on top of that.

The receiver hitch that is mounted is a Reese Class V. I'm unsure on the correct ratings, but it appears that it is rated for up to 14,000 lbs towing capacity. Again, I have no idea what these trucks are capable of towing realistically.

The tires on the truck are in good condition. Tread appears to be down, but still plenty of miles before replacement is required.

Brakes must be very new, as very little pedal effort is needed to bring this truck to a quick stop!

Again, this truck is in in my opinion a very solid, low use vehicle. Please email with any questions! A deposit of $250 is required through Paypal, the balance due within 7 days, unless prior arrangements have been met.

FCA and UAW deal could mean huge production shakeups

Thu, Sep 17 2015

The big labor contract between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the United Auto Workers is likely to lead to some very serious production shakeups across the company's North American manufacturing operations. That's according to a new report from Automotive News, which details the sweeping changes at no fewer than five production facilities in Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Mexico, and Poland. So without further ado, here's what's going where, presented in easy to digest bullet form. Ram 1500 production would move from Warren, MI to Sterling Heights, MI Warren, MI would be retooled for unibody production and would handle the Jeep Grand Wagoneer and could potentially build Grand Cherokees to ease the strain on Detroit's Jefferson North factory Chrysler 200 production would move from Sterling Heights, MI to Toluca, Mexico Dodge Dart production would move from Belvidere, IL to Toluca, Mexic Fiat 500 production, which is currently handled by Toluca, would be concentrated in Poland, where the Euro-spec Cinquecento is built Jeep Cherokee production would move from Toledo, OH to Belvidere, IL to make room for Wrangler and Wrangler Pickup production Like we said, those are some big changes. But, as FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne said in an earlier interview with Automotive News, this kind of shakeup would make a lot of sense. In that August interview the exec said that automakers moved truck production to Mexico because they were "threatened" by the UAW. "The only thing [the UAW] want is to move the truck back. Which is right. If you move the truck back here, which is [the UAW's] domain, [and move] all the cars that we get killed on somewhere else, we could actually make sense of this bloody industry and actually increase the number of people employed in this country and really share wealth because we are making money," Marchionne told AN. Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene

Tue, 13 May 2014

Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track. Scroll down for a touch of nostalgia thanks to one of the greatest scenes ever in cinema - we've got both the recreation and the original chase seen from the movie waiting for you.

Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...
