2000 Dodge Ram 2500 Turbo Cummins Diesel 24 Valve Meyer Plow on 2040-cars
Gloversville, New York, United States
This is a used 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 turbo Diesel Cummings with a E47 Electrolift Meyer Plow. It has been a plow and salt truck for 6 Years. Many years still left on it. My husband is giving up plowing over the winter so we can finally take vacations in the winter with no worries. The truck is not beautiful it has rust (from being a salter) and dents (from being a plow truck). It has a diamond tool box included and a salter is available for purchase if interested. The control for the salter is still installed in the vehicle regardless. It has an extra leaf on the suspension. It does need a starter and there is a sensor that needs to be replaced. Anyone that has or has had a diesel knows, either you need a good diesel guy or you need to know how to fix one if you don't. Because it is very hard to know what to do when you need repairs. This truck is very tough. It is located at a business in the parking lot if you are local and just want to check it out. The Motor in this thing is worth more than we are asking for the truck. In the picks I have included the snapshot from the Kelly Blue Book value. I have fair condition. I realize the body is a little rougher than fair. But the motor is where the money is. We ARE motivated to sell this so $2900 is a little less than we want but we would take
it! 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 Regular Cab On Apr-29-14 at 06:56:39 PDT, seller added the following information: This truck does need a starter to be able to drive home. And buyer has to get their own temp tags if not towing. I am not sure what sensor needs to be replaced. It causes power loss but truck still runs, drives, plows ect. Will not run without new starter. Around $400 and this truck will run perfectly. This motor is designed to go 300,000 more miles with only 145,000 on it now. |

Chrysler recalling 49K Chargers for headlight components
Fri, 14 Mar 2014Chrysler has issued a recall for about 49,375 2011 and 2012 Dodge Chargers with halogen headlamps due to a problem with the lights. The automaker says that there could be an issue with the jumper harness and other related components.
The automaker says that 43,450 cars are affected in the US, 2,850 in Canada, 375 in Mexico and 2,700 outside of North America. The vehicles will have their headlight assemblies, including the jumper harnesses and bulbs, inspected and potentially replaced. Dodge says that its engineers investigated reports of that were similar to what was found when it recalled about 10,000 police Chargers in 2012 for overheating light components. There have been no injuries or accidents related to fault, according to Chrysler.
The automaker will be in contact with affected owners, and schedule the service. Naturally, any repairs will be free of charge. Scroll down for the company's full announcement.

2016 Dodge Viper ACR First Drive [w/video]
Fri, Jul 17 2015The Dodge Viper is not a comfortable car. Livable, yes. The interior is covered in fine materials. But you still climb over a hot door sill to enter the tiny cabin. And the frequency range of the engine's noises seem specifically designed to cause headaches. What happens, then, if you remove all pretense of civility from a Viper and add equipment solely aimed at improving lap times? You would have the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR. In terms of achieving its purpose, this car is a absolute success. In many ways it's also the most honest Viper of the current generation. Prices start at $121,990 (including $2,100 gas-guzzler tax and $1,995 destination), or $32,900 more than the least expensive Viper. In ACR trim, the Viper loses the under-carpet padding, 9 of 12 speakers plus amplifier, carpet and trim from the cargo area, and sound deadening in front of the rear wheel wells. The parts of the interior still covered add healthy amounts of Alcantara or optional carbon fiber. That weight loss is compensated by the addition of go-fast bits like the giant rear wing (or the larger "x-wing" on the Extreme Aero Package), 10-way adjustable Bilstein Motorsports shocks, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a rear diffuser, and a front splitter. Total claimed curb weight is 3,392 pounds in Aero trim (standard ACR trim is 18 pounds lighter), which is within a few stone of the rest of the Viper lineup. The diffuser strakes and leading edge of the splitter are removable, made to be replaced after rubbing on track tarmac and make street driving slightly more practical. Not that you'd want to drive the ACR on the street, with the lack of noise insulation and spring rates twice as stiff as the Viper TA, but it is street-legal. Dodge claims the DOT-approved Kumho Ecsta V720 tires on the ACR allow faster lap times than some race compound tires. Our test was limited to on-track shenanigans at Virginia International Raceway. Which is fitting because we wouldn't have anything good to say about driving the car on the street. The ACR is, essentially, a race car sold in the showroom, although with the Viper's 1 of 1 customization program, your custom build can include as many creature comforts as you like. Lined up in pit lane at VIR, the Viper ACRs for our evaluation blur the air with heat shimmer. All of the test cars have air conditioning, but that shuts off at full throttle with a six-second reset.
