I am selling one of my Dodge 12 Valve Rams. Don't drive it enough to justify keeping it.
Bought a '98 Ram 12 valve quad door, ext cab after I found this one & have used this one very little. This is a much sought after: 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT, 4X4 Extended Cab, with 5 Speed Manual Transmission (NV4500). This Dodge has the Cummins (12 Valve) Turbo Diesel with Intercooler. This Cummins has the best/most desirable P7100 P-pump with 215 HP rating. Low Miles -- only 160,000 miles. 4X4 with Dana 80 rear 3:54 gears with Traclock, Dana 60 front diff. No Rust -- This is a Clean, Rust Free - Accident Free Western Truck. Check the pictures of the underbody. You won't find pick-ups in this condition East of Kansas City. Pure Stock; Never chipped or Programmed Fuel Mileage: 21 MPG @ 65 mph, 19 MPG @ 75 mph. Fuel savings over the newer Diesels is significant. No DEF & No Emissions test in California. Interior is in Outstanding condition. Can you believe the condition? Shows how truck was used, not abused. Non-Smoked in vehicle. Dash has no cracks. Fully serviced, fresh fluids. Coolant flushed, transfer case fluid, transmission upgraded with Redline Syn., air filter, fuel filter, all hoses replaced, belt changed, Valves adjusted, new Batteries and terminals replaced (1 yr ago). Chrysler recalling over 280k minivans because airbags may deploy on wrong side
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Chrysler has issued a recall for some 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Ram C/V Tradesman vans built between May 10, 2012 and June 7, 2013. These vehicles may have a software error that would cause the wrong side (opposite side) airbags to deploy in a crash. With this defect, a left-side impact would cause the right-side airbag to deploy, etc.
The recall affects 281,500 vehicles in total: 224k in the US, 49,300 in Canada, 2,900 in Mexico and 5,300 in other locations. Chrysler will notify owners of effected vehicles, and reflash the offending occupant restraint control module to resolve the issue. Dodge pulls New Girl and The Office stars for new Dart spots
Wed, 06 Aug 2014Dodge is hoping that a heavy dash of humor helps it move some more units of the Dart with a hilarious ad campaign called Don't Touch My Dart. The spots star actors Craig Robinson, best known for his role as Darryl on The Office, and Jake Johnson from New Girl as neighbors and friends playing a game of one-upmanship over Robinson's new car. Johnson is envious of the ride and just wants to touch it.
The ads are pretty funny if you're a fan of somewhat absurdist humor, and Robinson has just the right amount of over-the-top seriousness to really make the commercials work. They have kind of a Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote vibe with Johnson constantly in inept pursuit of what he wants, but he clearly isn't getting it.
The first four spots in the campaign are already online, but according to Dodge this is just the beginning. The company says that it's planning about 24 different versions of these ads in various lengths to play on TV and online. You can check out the ads titled First Scratch, Birdhouse Police Garage Door and Voice Touching below, along with the brand's release about the new ads. There's also a pretty good gag on its YouTube page with Robinson protecting his Dart.
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has 707 glorious horsepower [w/video]
Tue, 01 Jul 2014Hold onto your butts. "600-plus horsepower" is what we were told to expect from the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 engine. But as we've just learned, those were incredibly conservative numbers. Dodge has officially announced that the range-topping Challenger will hit the asphalt with 707 - seven hundred and seven - horsepower, making it the "most powerful muscle car ever."
Of course, 707 hp is only part of the story, as the Hellcat has also been confirmed to produce 650 pound-feet of torque. All that power will run exclusively to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission that differs from other Challengers. The new gearbox, 8HP90 (rather than the 8HP70) is "upgraded to handle the extra power and torque," says Dan Reid, SRT's manager of product design and motorsports.
We certainly hope you're prepared to spend a ton of money replacing tires.
