1995 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel 12 valve 47RH 4x4 ORIGINAL STOCK TRUCK

I am selling this truck for a good friend. After months and months of searching, we finally found the perfect work truck for him and purchased this one a few weeks ago. I owned a 94 12 valve Cummins identical to this one and currently have owned a 99 24 valve Cummins for the last 6 years. I am very familiar with the things to look for in these vehicles. Unfortunately, the same week he got this truck, he also found out he was getting a divorce. In order to free up some extra funds to support his move, he is forced to sell some personal items. His loss will be your gain.

This is a bone stock truck. You will be hard pressed to find one that has not been modified. The airbox, turbo, injection pump and exhaust are all stock. The turbo still has the silencer ring and the injection pump has not been tuned (identified by tamper proof bolt on cover). The exhaust is even an all original Dodge system, it still retains the stock catalytic converter and muffler. The engine was overhauled at the previous owner's expense around 5,000 miles ago, he showed us over $2,800 in receipts that included complete engine overhaul and freshening up, with all new gaskets, water pump, belt, and lift pump. It even boasts a rebuilt factory Mopar 47rh automatic 4 speed transmission. The truck starts up every time on the first try and idles along with that all too familiar 12 valve Cummins sound. It cruises down the road just fine, accelerates and shifts through all the gears as it should. Four wheel drive works great. The bed has been Rhino-lined and the truck has an aftermarket CD player, brake controller box, side steps and a Class 3 hitch. The front tires are like new but the rears will need to be replaced soon (we can have 2 matching tires installed at the buyers expense before pickup of vehicle should they choose to do so). The driver's seat has the typical wear and tear spot, headliner sags in places, the passenger side rear cab area and lower portion of the bed have been damaged and the dash has a few cracks as shown. This was a work truck for the majority of its life and while it was used, it was also well maintained. The previous owner also mentioned he had replaced most of the front end components such as tie rod ends, ball joints, etc. This is by no means a show truck, expect typical Dodge/Cummins leaks, dings, dents, interior stains and smells. If you're looking for a road princess, this is probably not the one for you but if you're after an unmodified reliable, original truck to work, drive, modify, race, etc. this is an excellent candidate. The truck has not been detailed, waxed or polished, this can be the joy of the new owner. The frame, bed and body are solid, no rot. The doors don't sag and all the locks and windows work great. The truck has a current Virginia inspection. I've tried to list as much as I know about this vehicle to the best of my ability, that being said I've probably missed something. This is a rare chance to own an unmodified 12 valve Cummins.

Please read entire listin before bidding, many questions can be answered in the description. Buyers with less than 5 positive feedback need to contact me before bidding with pertinent information such as an address and phone number, if not your bid will be cancelled. If you need to ask your mom, wife, or uncle for money to borrow, please refrain from bidding.  This is a cash or certified bank check sale only, NO PAYPAL. This is an auction that takes time and money to list. Serious bidders only. Not interested in trades or tire kickers. Your bid is a legally binding contract to purchase the vehicle shown on Ebay, not an opportunity to be a tire kicker or bogus internet bidder. Payment is due within 7 days of auction close

That being said, the truck is for sale locally and I do reserve the right to end the auction early if need be. Please review all of the pictures and ask should you have any questions. Truck is located approximately one hour from Roanoke, Va airport and is convenient to Interstate 81 and Highway 460. You can get this truck and drive it home. Local pickup is preferred but will happily assist a transport company from a provider such as Uship.com in loading the vehicle. This is a no reserve auction, the high bidder takes it home. Good luck!

Dodge Challenger spied exercising supercharged Hellcat Hemi V8

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

One of the prime complaints against the Dodge Challenger is that, even in SRT8 guise, its 470 horsepower is responsible for hauling over 4,200 pounds of vehicle. For comparison, the 420 hp in the Ford Mustang GT only has to deal with 3,618 lbs. Things only get worse from there, as the higher-performance variants of both the Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro are far more powerful than an SRT8 without adding on much heft.
So what is Chrysler to do? The correct answer is add a whole lot more grunt to its hefty two-door and even the odds. That's where the all-new Hellcat engine comes into play. We reported on this engine in May, and suggested that the Hellcat, a supercharged powerplant based on a 6.4-liter V8, would easily generate 500 to 570 hp and could likely arrive boasting more than 600 ponies.
Chrysler's ace in its sleeve has now been spied testing, with a number of Hellcat-equipped Challengers running the potent new engine both in more urbanized areas and under the sun of Death Valley. The hoods on these testers have been raised to accommodate the engine, and that camouflage over the fascias of these prototypes is there to hide a larger air intake. We also note what appears to be a new split grille under wraps. As for power output, our spies are now suggesting a Viper-equalling 640 hp from the Hellcat-equipped cars.

Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.

Why the Charger Hellcat can't be ordered with a manual transmission

Sun, 16 Nov 2014

Fans of truly irreverent amounts of horsepower will find lots to love in the form of the 2015 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat models. Both of them send 707 ridiculous horsepower to the rear wheels; the only question is whether you want your absurdity delivered with two or four doors. Oh, and whether or not you want the option of a manual transmission.
If you prefer rowing your own gears, the choice is made for you; there is no manual gearbox option available on the Charger Hellcat, or any Charger model at all, for that matter. Wonder why? Well, besides the fact that almost nobody - sorry, clutch fans, but it's true - would choose to buy a Charger with a manual transmission, that is? The answer, according to an industry insider in a post written on Jalopnik's Opposite Lock forum, is the floorpan.
It's probably not a surprise to most of our readers that the Dodge Challenger and Charger share a large portion of their chassis structure, which is codenamed LX at Chrysler, but there are still some significant differences under the skin due to the shorter wheelbase and two-door coupe bodyshell of the Challenger, as opposed to the sedan shape of the Charger. One of the differences is the floorpan, the huge chunk of sheetmetal that makes up the floor of the car and props up such essential items as the car's seats.
