1993 Dodge Cummins Diesel 5 Speed 4x4 on 2040-cars

Year:1993 Mileage:191999
Location:

Richland, Missouri, United States

Richland, Missouri, United States

This is a 1993 Dodge Cummins 3/4 ton that has had a lot of time and money put into it. Until very recently it was my daily driver. It has a Gooseneck ball and a reese hitch so it is set up and ready to pull. The odometer is showing 191,xxx miles but I know it has some more as I broke the wire going to the VSS and have not fixed it yet. I am guessing it is somewhere closer to 200,000. It doesnt have alot of blowby and starts and runs everytime without exception. It has a Warn winch bumper on the front and after market rims.

The truck is not perfect by all means but it is a very good truck. Bad points; While I was hunting I pulled the wire off the VSS and it needs reconnected so the speedometer works, it needs a vacuum booster as it is starting to leak and will need rear brakes by spring, it has a couple small oil leaks that I have not gotten to but they are small and are the easy ones to fix.

In the last year and a half it has had the following installed; turbo, replaced injection pump, new exhaust gaskets, transransmission rebuilt, radiator replaced, timing cover gasket replaced, power steering pump replaced  rebuiltmission top, new wiring harness, PCM charging system bypass to external voltage regulator, and battery.

As you can tell I tried to keep this truck in good operating condition and replaced most anything I had a problem with. It does have the dreaded clear coat peel however on the hood and is starting on the fenders.

If you buy truck I also have a parts truck which includes a 1991 dodge 3/4 ton 2 wheel drive with a built transmission with less then 10,000 miles on it. The motor is all there minus wiring harness and starter. I believe it has a injection pump, power steering pump, turbo, and everything ready to go if someone wants to part it out, it is missing the bed.  I will sell this at a very resonable price.

If the buy it now option is used you get both trucks for that price. The parts truck has a title as well.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat revving is sonic bacon

Fri, 23 May 2014

This is the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and we're sure that by now, you know its stats, including over 600 horsepower from its 6.2-liter, supercharged V8. What, pray tell, does that blown engine sound like, though?
At least judging on the sonic strength of this video, it's very, very dirty. Honestly, it sounds unlike anything that's come out of the Chrysler Group in a long time, if ever. It's loud, almost brutally so, with a bark that few road-going V8s can match.
Of course, you should be the final judge here. Take a look and a listen at the two videos below, one of which comes from our friends at Cars.com that provides a nice look under the hood, and then let us know what you think of the Hellcat's singing voice in Comments.

Dodge CEO and Gas Monkey Garage dissect the 10-second Challenger Hellcat

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

So far, whenever we've seen the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 707-horsepower, supercharged Hellcat V8, the muscle car has been smoking its tires. Dodge is finally proving that the SRT can do more than ruin perfectly good sets of rubber, though. In it's latest video, company CEO Tim Kuniskis hands the Hellcat off to the guys from Gas Monkey Garage to show how quickly the automaker's most powerful model can make it down the drag strip.
Of course, the only fitting contender to race against Dodge's latest top muscle car is its grandpa - a Hemi-powered 1971 Challenger, in this case. Before getting to the main event, the hosts also show off some of the SRT's unique features like the blanks in the grille that feed the intercoolers. We'll go ahead and spoil that the Hellcat makes its pass in the 10-second range, and the video admits the tires on the production version would take just a touch longer to cover the quarter-mile. However, you have to watch film to see just how quick it actually goes. Scroll down to see a classic example of American muscle drag racing against its modern legacy.

Mopar '13 Dart will roll into Chicago next week

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

We think this officially counts as a tradition. Every year going back to 2010, Mopar has rolled out a limited edition version of a popular product from the Chrysler Group portfolio. First it was the Mopar '10 Challenger, then the Mopar '11 Charger, then last year's Mopar '12 300, and this year it will be the Mopar '13 Dart, which will make its official world debut next week at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show.
Limited in number to just 500 units, the Mopar '13 Dart is no mere appearance package, though the demeanor of the Dart will be murdered out with a gloss black finish, gloss black 18-inch wheels, a set of Mopar blue stripes and a mean-looking Mopar ground effects kit. Likewise, the interior is touched up with leather seats (a blue one for the driver and black hides for the passengers), gloss black and black chrome trim, blue accent stitching, a sport pedal kit and other Mopar interior accessories.
Turning our attention back to the mechanical bits, the Mopar '13 Dart comes with the car's most powerful engine, a turbocharged 1.4-liter MultiAir four (shared with Fiat 500 Abarth) that's paired with a manual transmission. Those big, black wheels get wrapped in low profile 225/40R18 performance tires, and keeping everything in check is an upgraded brake kit with slotted rotors. The steering has also been calibrated for performance, the suspension lowered seven millimeters, and the exhaust tuned for better engine breathing.
