Up for sale is a 1991 dodge ram 2500 1st gen cummins turbo 5-speed reg/cab pickup. This is a nice solid orig truck, had 1 repaint and has 1 small dent on the right front fender with some scratchs & dings here and there tail gate has a bow in it but does not look bad. Truck has no mods its all stock. It runs very good. the following things do not work, a/c and the passenger side power window does not go up or down, but the power motor does run. The plastic cover around the steering colume is cracked, The tires are fair but the truck comes with 4-good used bridgestone all terrian tires that are in the bed. Truck has a tow hitch under the rear bumper and in the bed. also has a bed mat. I installed a new drivers side arm rest and battery & changed the oil & filter. This would make a good tow vehicle. The cummins diesel is one of the best engines and with the manual trans it could pull just about anything. Truck is sold as is where is and must be picked up within 2-weeks of the auctions end. A 500.00 deposit is due via paypal at auctions end and truck must be paid in full before being picked up. Please email with any Qs and please dont bid if you dont intend to pay. Roadkill pits every project car against each other
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
Dodge offers 100 years of solid advice in new ad
Fri, 18 Apr 2014This is a cool ad. Dodge, which is celebrating its centennial this year, recruited some of its peers to see what you should and shouldn't do in life. Of course, some are obvious - don't complain, learn from your mistakes and live for now.
Then again, some are less obvious. Some, actually, are downright awesome. Towards the end, each piece of advice is interspersed with clips of Dodge's redesigned Challenger smoking its tires. Really, this ad feels like it'd be worthy of a Super Bowl spot. This commercial's personal nature is really in keeping with some of the big game's most interesting ads, like the Imported From Detroit commercial, the Farmer ad and Maserati's surprise clip from this year's game.

Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too
Thu, 22 Nov 2012The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea.
