I bought this truck as new from a dealer in North Carolina in early 08 thinking that it was going to be with me for life. I drove this truck up to Winnipeg from North Carolina, took a long road trip to the West Coast and driven it on numerous weekend jaunts. Until two years ago, it wasn't even driven in the winters. Although the mileage is very low the bulk of it is highway. This is a one owner and one driver truck, except that I let a few relatives use it and took it to the wrong repair shop - that is why it has some blemishes, a cracked windshield cowl and the passenger door rattles over bumps. This is a 6 cylinder, 6 speed manual transmission short box truck. It is a highly desirable configuration to me, which provides really excellent gas mileage but gives power a plenty for most tasks. The Ram also provides a decent amount of storage behind the seats. I have added a K&N air intake system and it does add some extra horse power and fuel economy. Also added fog lamps, cruise, box rail caps. I installed a trailer hitch last year but have never towed with it, ball and other hitch parts included. Regularly maintained with additional preventative maintenance. It is a great truck, but I think I have to move on. Tires should have 20,000 miles left on them. Although only a few things show up in photos, if you are seriously interested in this truck please email me for more photos or information. You may have the vehicle inspected prior to the sale.
As this vehicle was imported from the US, it would have to be reimported if sold to a US resident, which might involve a reimportation fee of 1% . If so, I will provide the original title and transport it to the Pembina/Emerson border crossing for your pick up. I will assist in the process as your agent and pay the reimportation fee. If you live in Canada or an interesting part of the US, I may be prepared to drive it to you. The BIN price includes the truck and my time in facilitating the transport to you etc., but not my expenses, if any, which are in addition to the purchase price.

2015 Dodge Viper getting small increase in power
Tue, 29 Jul 2014The Viper is used to being the most powerful car in the Dodge and SRT stables, but the arrival of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat means that's no longer the case. The serpentine supercar is, however, reportedly getting a small boost in output for 2015, amounting to all of five horsepower.
The increase was uncovered by Road & Track courtesy of the SAE J1349 certification process to which Detroit's Big Three automakers submit themselves and which reports the Viper's output at 645 hp instead of the 640 it was rated at until now. There are a hundred factors that could have contributed to the relatively mild boost in output (best guess? nothing at all changed...), but we doubt anyone's going to complain about some extra horses under the hood.
The five-horsepower boost brings the Viper that much closer to the 650-hp Chevy Corvette Z06, not to mention the 707-hp Hellcat, but the Viper's impressive power-to-weight ratio ought to mean it'll have little problem keeping up in a straight line - which is just one of the reasons why Chrysler won't shoe-horn the Hellcat into the Viper: as R&T points out, the supercharged engine is too heavy and the blower makes it too tall to fit in the Viper's engine bay.
Stellantis and Foxconn's new joint venture will focus on connectivity
Wed, May 19 2021MILAN — Carmaker Stellantis and TaiwanÂ’s Foxconn announced plans to develop a jointly operated automotive supplier focusing on technology to make vehicles more connected, including artificial intelligence-based applications and 5G communications. Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said the services that will be developed through the tie-up “will mark the next great evolution of our industry,” alongside fully electrified and hybrid powertrains. The deal brings together Stellantis, the worldÂ’s 4th-largest automaker formed this year by the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Peugeot, and Foxconn, a major supplier of iPhones. The companies said the venture would focus on such services as infotainment, the integration of telecommunications and computer systems, artificial intelligence-based applications, 5G communications, e-commerce channels and smart cockpit integration. The companies announced a non-binding memorandum of understanding to form a 50-50 joint venture called Mobile Drive, which will be based in the Netherlands and function as an automotive supplier also to other carmakers. The new venture will combine advanced consumer electronics, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) to create new services “that will exceed customer expectations,” the companies said in a release. “Customers today and, in the future, demand and expect ever-increasing software-driven and creative solutions to connect the drivers and passengers with the vehicle inside and out,Â’Â’ Foxconn Chairman Young Liu. Chrysler patents smarter minivan folding seats
Thu, 02 Jan 2014It's frightening to think of how quickly the mice would have overtaken us if we hadn't stayed one step ahead of them with better mousetraps. We'll never have to worry about that in our relentlessly re-engineered world, though. Case in point: Chrysler has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for an improved design of the already wondrous Stow 'n' Go seating found in the automaker's Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
Introduced in 2005, the Stow 'n' Go was improved in 2008, and based on the drawings of this third-generation improvement, the new design appears to allow stowage of the second row of seats without having to move the front-row seats forward as much. It look like it also involves fewer operations and moving parts, with a portion of the seatback being incorporated into the flat floor when the seats are stowed, as opposed to having a completely separate cover.
It's possible that the innovation may appear on the next-generation minivans expected in 2015, but Chrysler isn't commenting on the patent.
