Reserve is well below NADA & KBB.  Don't miss this truck.  Excellent condition, daily driver SRT-10 Quad Cab with many significant performance upgrades and the best routine maintenance services.  Truck has a Dave Kaspar / B&G performance flash that nets 80 hp and 100 ft lbs of torque over a stock SRT-10.  No single other mod wakes up the quad cab like this flash.  Advanced fuel table, aggressive ignition timing curve, torque management delete, raised shift points, drops AC comp at WOT, no speed limit.  It also has a BBK performance throttle body installed and a K&N performance air filter.  A custom built true 3 inch exhaust was fabricated that runs into a 3 inch X-pipe crossover.  The best crossover for the Viper V-10.  It runs into a 50 series chambered muffler that crosses over again internally.  No other exhaust set up lets you hear the pulse of the Viper engine like a Flowmaster.  This truck is conservatively estimated to have 600 plus horsepower.

In January of this year I put all new discs front and back.  I also rebuilt the front calipers as one of the cal pistons had a chip in it.  So new caliper pistons as well.  It's got new EBC green stuff pads front and back.  New.  Nitto 420's have about 90% tread left and were rotated and balanced last Thursday.

Oil changed religiously and I have all the records from it.  I switched over to 05/50 as the Viper engine likes that viscosity much better with the variable lifters.  Transmission fluid was changed at 70K miles at dealership and bands were adjusted at that time.  New battery last year.  Includes subwoofer and nav radio.  Although I don't have the disc.

The truck has been absolute awesome daily driver that has never let me down once.  It's been driven like the little old man I am.  Never burnout, never jack assed around in it ever.  It does have some minor scratches and nicks that are common with a truck of this age.  One tiny little ding on passenger door top.  If you are looking for a garage queen this is probably not your truck.  But it still looks nice enough that they leave it in front when we eat at Ruth Chris steakhouse.  It is a very nice creme puff of a truck.

Whoever buys the truck is getting one amazing piece of Mopar history.  I can pick you up at the airport in Orlando and you can drive it home.

Check my feedback as it speaks for itself.  As always all intelligent questions gladly answered.  Cashiers check at time of sale preferred.  Clear title in hand.  Not interested in any trades.  Absolutely positively no test pilots or unsure dreamers.  Sorry.

Truck is registered on the Viper Truck Registry as well.  Email me for a link to 40 HD pictures of the truck.

2016 Dodge Viper ACR First Drive [w/video]

Fri, Jul 17 2015

The Dodge Viper is not a comfortable car. Livable, yes. The interior is covered in fine materials. But you still climb over a hot door sill to enter the tiny cabin. And the frequency range of the engine's noises seem specifically designed to cause headaches. What happens, then, if you remove all pretense of civility from a Viper and add equipment solely aimed at improving lap times? You would have the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR. In terms of achieving its purpose, this car is a absolute success. In many ways it's also the most honest Viper of the current generation. Prices start at $121,990 (including $2,100 gas-guzzler tax and $1,995 destination), or $32,900 more than the least expensive Viper. In ACR trim, the Viper loses the under-carpet padding, 9 of 12 speakers plus amplifier, carpet and trim from the cargo area, and sound deadening in front of the rear wheel wells. The parts of the interior still covered add healthy amounts of Alcantara or optional carbon fiber. That weight loss is compensated by the addition of go-fast bits like the giant rear wing (or the larger "x-wing" on the Extreme Aero Package), 10-way adjustable Bilstein Motorsports shocks, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a rear diffuser, and a front splitter. Total claimed curb weight is 3,392 pounds in Aero trim (standard ACR trim is 18 pounds lighter), which is within a few stone of the rest of the Viper lineup. The diffuser strakes and leading edge of the splitter are removable, made to be replaced after rubbing on track tarmac and make street driving slightly more practical. Not that you'd want to drive the ACR on the street, with the lack of noise insulation and spring rates twice as stiff as the Viper TA, but it is street-legal. Dodge claims the DOT-approved Kumho Ecsta V720 tires on the ACR allow faster lap times than some race compound tires. Our test was limited to on-track shenanigans at Virginia International Raceway. Which is fitting because we wouldn't have anything good to say about driving the car on the street. The ACR is, essentially, a race car sold in the showroom, although with the Viper's 1 of 1 customization program, your custom build can include as many creature comforts as you like. Lined up in pit lane at VIR, the Viper ACRs for our evaluation blur the air with heat shimmer. All of the test cars have air conditioning, but that shuts off at full throttle with a six-second reset.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat gets 22 mpg

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

With its crazy 707 horsepower on tap and roughly $60,000 starting price, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been one of the most talked about cars of the summer, maybe even the year. However, there's always been one lingering question about the behemoth that Dodge has waited to answer until now - its fuel economy. The EPA ratings for the muscle car are finally out, and the numbers are actually pretty impressive for a vehicle with this much power.
A 2015 Challenger Hellcat with the eight-speed automatic is rated at 22 miles per gallon highway, 13 mpg city and 16 mpg combined. Opting for the six-speed manual drops those figures to 21 mpg highway, 13 mpg city and 16 mpg combined.
"As the fastest muscle car ever, the Challenger Hellcat can run 10-second ETs [elapsed times] at the track, and then get 22 miles per gallon on the drive home. With a starting price of $59,995, there's nothing else that even comes close," said Dodge and SRT President Tim Kuniskis in the company's release.

Common Dodge Ram 1500 vs. Chevrolet Silverado breakdowns

Wed, May 4 2016

These two trucks are famous for their ability to get the job done. Still, even the toughest vehicle can have mechanical problems at some time. What if we match the Dodge Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado head to head? Let's find out more about common repairs for each model. Also, learn some tricks to pay for car repairs. Clunky Steering Both Dodge and the Chevy owners sometimes notice bumping and clunking when steering. This might be more noticeable when driving over bumps. The cause is usually different in each truck though. In the Dodge Ram, clunky steering is more likely due to a defective lower ball joint. Replacement costs around $300 - $400, parts and labor. Clunky Chevy Silverado steering is probably a steering rack failure. This problem appears more often in trucks with over 90,000 miles. Silverado steering rack repair will run you up to $1,000 or more. Starting Woes For the Chevy Silverado with over 130,000 miles, you might notice trouble starting. This problem may appear occasionally at first, but it typically gets worse. Excluding a weak battery, the culprit is usually the starter. Replacement will cost you around $330 - $500. Of the total cost, $90 is for labor only. Now the Dodge Ram might make a ticking sound when starting, especially on models with over 94,500 miles. The noise often disappears after the engine warms up. These symptoms may indicate a broken exhaust manifold. Repair costs range from $800 - $900. Burning Oil & Gas Gauge On The Blink Sometimes, the Dodge Ram burns oil much faster than normal. In models with over 125,000 miles, this often points towards a leaky intake manifold gasket. A knocking sound may also appear with acceleration along with possible engine misfire. The cost to repair is around $200 - $300. The Chevy Silverado has its own surprises, especially when you've filled the gas tank but the gauge still reads low. Or the needle fluctuates widely from low to full while driving. In trucks with over 120,000 miles, it's likely due to a faulty fuel sensor. You might need a full fuel pump replacement, which can cost you up to $820, parts and labor. Water Inside And Poor Heat The Ram 1500 rear window has been known to leak. You might notice the back seat and floor wet after a rainstorm. This is more common in trucks with over 65,000 miles. Resealing the Ram 1500 rear window costs around $150 - $250.
