Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Lower Miles on 2040-cars
Lincoln, Nebraska, United States
2001 DODGE. RAM 1500, 4X4, 1/2 ton, short box, single cab, pick up, Straight axle in front and rear, dana 44 axles standard, 102 plus thousand miles, work truck series, vinyl floor and seats, A/C works good, heat works too.. New tires within the last 10,000 miles. Hand crank windows, Basic edition work truck. Has new NAPA lifetime ball joints which I have receipts for. Moog tie rod end, life time. Newer water pump, idler pulley and power steering pump in the last three years. Has a 4 speed automatic tranny with OD. Truck is a very good running truck with lower miles for its age. I'm selling because I need and bought a 3/4 ton truck . I've had this truck for 5 or 6 years. Actually bought it on ebay, it was a fleet truck out of southern Missouri. Under carriage and body are in excellent shape by comparison to vehicles from my area with the snow and ice we get here. Has a ladder rack that is not in the greatest shape but still functions for it purpose. Dash has cracks but it has a cloth custom fit cover so you cant even tell. 4x4 works good used it a lot. Spare tire carrier is not there under the truck, But truck does come with a spare on a rim and another spare not on a rim. Its a work truck so it does have some dings and scratches, but like I said this is a dependable vehicle and would not even be selling except I have no use for it anymore. Thanks

Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]
Wed, 20 Aug 2014No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:
2014 Dodge Dart Blacktop glosses over performance
Tue, 14 Jan 2014The Dodge Dart is a decent little car. It's honest, basic transportation, and many of us at Autoblog are genuinely fond of the Alfa Romeo-based compact sedan. For 2014, not a whole lot changes in the Dart world, save the addition of this new Blacktop edition that makes its debut here at the Detroit Auto Show.
It's all very simple, this Blacktop package, and doesn't actually alter performance in any way. Instead, buyers are treated to blacked-out exterior bits like 18-inch wheels, the crosshair grille and headlamp bezels. Inside, black/tungsten or black/red cloth seats are available, with red contrast stitching throughout the cabin.
Adding the Blacktop pack to your Dart SXT with the Rallye Appearance Group will set you back a scant $295, and while it's just an appearance package, it all looks pretty nice to us.
Old vs. New: 2014 SRT Viper takes on upgraded 16-year-old Dodge Viper
Fri, 08 Feb 2013It's easy to play the "Would you rather have a New X or an Old Y with a bunch of upgrades?" game more often than we care to admit, but the crew at Car and Driver have taken bench racing to the next level with their latest video. In it, the magazine pits a brand-new 2014 SRT Viper against a highly modified 1997 Dodge Viper GTS. There are 16 years between the time this particular GTS rolled off the production line and when the new car bowed, but that doesn't mean the old snake's owners have been sitting on their hands.
Thanks to a spate of modifications, the GTS offers up a better power to weight ratio than the new machine, but is that enough to overcome the technological leap forward represented by the 2014 Viper? We won't spoil it for you. You'll just have to check out the full clip below for yourself.
