2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab Slt 4x2 Hemi 5.7 on 2040-cars
Surprise, Arizona, United States
Hello. Up for auction is a beautiful 2008 Dodge Ram Mega Cab SLT 1500 4X2 with the 5.7-Liter HEMI V8 Engine and 5-speed Automatic Transmission. Exterior color is Inferno Red Crystal Pearl Coat Paint and interior is a gorgeous Medium Slate Grey. One senior owner with 29,301 original miles (mileage may go up slightly). Vehicle is in great condition with bright paint and a very clean interior. No accidents and will be 100% on any report. Clean/clear Arizona title. Owners manual and all documentation that I have will be included.
KBB is at $25,037 Interior: Never smoked in and has never seen snow or harsh weather, as it has been mostly garaged since bought brand new. No rips, tears, or stains on the seats, nor any cracks in the dash pad. Dash cover is in like new condition and has been on since 2008. Everything electrical works (6-way drivers side seat, radio, CD player, MP3 player, 12v auxiliary power outlet, A/C controls, defroster, all 4 windows go up and down like new, instrument gauges all work, rear sliding window, horn, windshield wipers, cruise control, cargo lamp, headlights, taillights, 3rd brake light, directional blinkers, interior lighting, power adjustable brake and gas pedal, dimming mirror with outside temp and direction, etc). Front passenger side seat manually adjusts easily. Rear seats have actually only been sat in a couple of times and fold down easily for more storage. Massive amount of leg room in the rear. All glass is clear with no cracks. Door panels are clean (no cracks, stains, etc), weatherstripping is soft, and door jambs are clean. Headliner is like new and the truck still has the "new vehicle" smell. Floor mats are original and in good shape with most of the wear being on the drivers side. Exterior: Paint is clean and in great shape with no fading. Chrome is nice and shiny with no pitting. No rust obviously as this vehicle has never left Arizona. All emblems have been removed except the factory SXT stickers on the rear. Being as this was my fathers vehicle and he was older, he scratched the passenger side rear quarter (see picture) and lightly backed into a light pole on the drivers side (see picture). I replaced the drivers side taillight because it was cracked, and bought paint from the Avondale Dodge dealership to touch up that area. A very small dent remains that is not noticeable until close viewing. Headlights are bright and clear. Front mud flaps were installed after getting it home from the dealership so there aren't any stone chips along the side of the vehicle. Engine bay was always kept clean in the garage. Antenna delivers great sound quality to the radio. Rear of the truck is pretty clean and a bed/tailgate mat was installed shortly after the vehicle was purchased to protect it. This is a truck and it was used a few times to haul some things from Home Depot so there are a few scratches on the bed. Vehicle used to have a soft tonneau cover on that was removed (no holes were drilled...it installed with clamps). License plate lights work as they should. Please remember this vehicle has been driven nearly 29,500 miles and has small imperfections. Mechanical: Engine oil and filter have been changed every 2,500 miles or less with Castrol GTX 5w20. A new battery was installed in June of 2013. Air filter replaced approximately 5,000 miles ago. Tires are all matching Michelin LTX MS2 265/70R/17. These tires were installed at 19,900 miles and have a 70,000 mile warranty with lifetime balancing (documentation will be provided to new owner for this warranty). No fluid leaks anywhere. No warning or check engine light. Brakes stop quickly with no pulsing, pulling, squeaking, or any noises, and I was recently told there is 65-70% of the pads left, on all 4 wheels. As this truck has been lightly driven, the steering and whole suspension is still very tight and goes straight down the road. Transmission shifts smooth to every gear and this vehicle has never carried/towed anything heavier than a few bags of cement, some lumber, and a Christmas tree. A/C blows hard and is ice cold in the summer with the heater being very hot in the winter. Vehicle has never overheated or had any drivability issues. Repairs: In June of 2011, at 9,750 miles, the vehicle was taken to the Avondale Dodge dealership in Avondale, AZ for a "J10" recall involving the windshield wiper motor. Service was completed and I will send the documentation of this to the new owner. Also at this time, my father did not believe the A/C was blowing cold enough so he had them check this, as well. They found the system was 6oz low on freon so they evacuated the system, let it set in vacuum to check for pressure loss, it held vacuum, so they charged the system back up to specifications and found no leaks. There have been no issues since. Leak dye was also added to the system so in case of any future freon leakage, the new owner will know exactly where it's coming from without paying for more freon and more dye. In June of 2013, at 21,057 miles, the vehicle had a "service engine" light illuminate and go off within a few driving cycles. It was taken to Larry H Miller Dodge in Avondale, AZ and they found no DTC's in the system. While the truck was there, they performed a power train inspection. I will include this documentation to the new owner, as well. In August of 2013, at 23,002 miles, the vehicle had a "service engine" light illuminate and stay on so the vehicle was taken back to the dealership that it was purchased from, Jim Click Dodge in Tucson, AZ. It was for a code P0456 (evaportative emissions system - small leak detected). The ESIM switch was replaced and PCM was updated to latest software. For good measure, I replaced the fuel cap as well (was told another common problem is the original gas cap gasket). No service engine light since and no issues. I will include this documentation to the new owner, as well. Story: You may be asking yourself why I am selling this truck with such low mileage and in such good condition. As mentioned above, this was my fathers vehicle and he has since passed away. Originally, he bought this truck because of its size, power, and comfort (he was a big guy). He had dreams of towing a boat behind it but unfortunately, he ran into multiple health issues that eventually took his life. Neither myself nor my mother need a vehicle of this size anymore so, it is now up for sale to someone who could use it for what it was intended to do. It truly is a nice vehicle and I firmly believe the new owner will be very happy with this purchase. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions, concerns, or the need for additional pictures of something specific. I will answer questions and picture requests as quickly as I possibly can. The clear Arizona title is solely in my mothers name and I am selling it for her. Please check my feedback, 5 star seller ratings, and bid with confidence. Standard equipment is as follows:

QB says University of Alabama offered him a Corvette to play football
Fri, 16 May 2014The University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team could be in some hot water, following a pair of posts on social media.
The first post was sure to raise a few eyebrows on its own. It's an Instagram of sophomore running back Derrick Henry standing in front of his new Dodge Challenger (we're guessing it's an R/T based on the fender stripes). Complete with a custom set of wheels, the image was enough to trigger more than a few questions about where an unemployed student-athlete came up with the money for such a purchase. Now, this could be harmless. Henry, flush with a full-ride to Bama could have convinced his parents to get him something nice with his college fund.
The second post, though, is a straight-up accusation. It comes from former West Virginia Mountaineer and current CFL quarterback Pat White, who posted the following on his Facebook page.
Chrysler readying Hellcat V8 with Viper-like power
Tue, 21 May 2013A monstrous supercharged V8 engine could be in store for Chrysler and SRT products, if recent rumors are to be believed. Allpar is reporting that the forced-induction V8 - Chrysler's first, if this goes down - could make its debut this summer.
The story goes that the Hellcat would be based on a 6.2-liter Hemi engine, rather than on the existing 5.7- or 6.4-liter versions of the company's vaunted mill. In any case, the general consensus is that the motor will have gobs of power. Modest estimates call for between 500 to 570 horsepower, with some outliers predicting a figure as high as 600 hp. That figure would put the output would place the Hellcat awfully close to that of the 640-hp V10 in the SRT Viper, too. Allpar contends that a slightly lower powered version would allow Chrysler to keep costs below that of the more powerful Ford Shelby GT500, which might be a sweet spot.
The Hellcat could debut in a number of SRT products. SRT versions of the Charger, Challenger and 300 are all up for grabs, as is the rumored SRT Barracuda.
Chrysler extends fuel tank warranties on LX cars, NHTSA ends probe
Tue, 18 Feb 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has ended its investigation of 153,817, 5.7-liter and 6.1-liter Hemi V8-powered 2006 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum models after reports of stalling. Chrysler has responded by granting a lifetime warranty on the fuel tanks for these vehicles.
NHTSA received 299 reports of engines stalling while the models were stopped or driving at low speeds, and began an investigation. The government agency found that the control valve shutoff float in the V8s' 19-gallon fuel tank could malfunction if the fuel had too high of an ethanol content. In many cases, the valve would break in the open position, allowing the tank to be overfilled, which would then cause the cars to stall. However, there were no accidents reported, and the vehicles could be restarted immediately.
There will not be a recall on these vehicles because, "the condition represents a low risk to motor vehicle safety and is adequately addressed by Chrysler's extended warranty," NHTSA said to The Detroit News.
