This description was written by the previous owner. I have had the Viper Truck for nearly 2 years and 4,000 miles with no problems. At age 72, the wife thinks I should slow down a bit, so I'm selling the truck. You will love to drive it! As you can see this wasn't a daily driver but it was a FUN driver. You can contact me at dnmefarms@gmail.com or call me at 660-565-2903. "This is my 2005 Dodge Ram SRT 10 with the Viper V10 8.3 liter... This is a Limited Edition "Yellow Fever" only 300 of the Quad Cabs were made and 200 of the regular cabs were made in this color. Mine is #468. This truck has been garaged it's whole life and only taken out in perfect weather. The truck is in mint condition as far as I'm concerned and trust me I'm very picky. The interior is also in mint condition, the yellow suede is perfect and there isn't any rips or marks in the truck and everything works as it should. Has the Infinity Premium Stereo System and sounds wonderful, also has a built in 6 disc Infinity CD changer. Complete surround air bags-driver and passenger, power seat, adjustable brake and gas peddles, has built in programmable garage door openers. Like I said this is a fully loaded truck as I'm sure you already know. Now for the goodies. This truck came with 505 hp stock. Well I happen to have a Family member that is a Nascar Mechanic, so that being said, the truck now has 860 hp. It has a Viper liquid cooled Supercharger which cost $9000 and has a programmer, Hyperchip, Transmission has been beefed up to handle 1000 hp, has posi trac, shift kit, and so much more. No I never raced this truck but men do what men do. I wanted the fastest truck/street legal. I think I'm close to it... I did take it to the track to see what it would run in the quarter mile, ran it one time as a conversation piece. It ran 10.7 1/4 mile the way it's set up....straight motor. There are no leaks no problems. Always put Castrol Edge Oil and everything has been maintained as you should. If you're looking for a sexy ride that has the power to eat up most anything on the road then this is your ride. Has plenty of room and plenty of space. Has tow package and sliding back window. Power Everything except back window. You can drive this truck anywhere in the US problem free and in the cool A/C. I'm sure I'm leaving something out, but oh yea it has the stock Viper 22" rims. The spare looks like it has never been on the ground. And I also have 15K into upgrades so you get the point. I do have a clean Title in hand, no liens."

Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set
Tue, Jul 19 2022Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, hence the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950s and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with the American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
Chrysler recalling 700k minivans and Dodge Journey for ignition switch woes
Tue, 01 Jul 2014General Motors isn't the only automaker with ignition switch problems. Chrysler is fighting it too and is now announcing a recall of 695,957 examples worldwide of the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans from the 2008-2010 model years, plus the 2009-2010 Dodge Journey.
According to a statement from Chrysler, the models have a bad wireless ignition node detent ring in the ignition switch, making it possible for drivers to appear to have the key in the "Run" position but for the spring not to fully engage. It can then slip back to the "Accessory" position and shut the car off. If this happens, the vehicle loses power steering, brake boost and the airbags.
There is some disparity about the number of vehicles affected under this recall. In its statement, Chrysler claims that it covers 525,206 vehicles in the US, 102,892 in Canada, 25,591 in Mexico and 42,268 elsewhere. However, the recall announcement posted by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration lists an estimated 438,109 vehicles in the US. Chrysler spokesperson Nick Cappa told Autoblog via email that the reasoning for the different figures "will become clear at a later date."
Aficionauto drives Vin Diesel's fast and furious 1970 Dodge Charger
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The Aficionauto host Christopher Rutkowski has a real passion for original and replica cars from movies and television, whether they are from James Bond, Jurassic Park, or incredibly obscure Japanese shows. However, he might have outdone himself this time because he hopped into one of the biggest automotive stars of contemporary cinema. This 1970 Dodge Charger appeared in Fast & Furious and came back in Fast Five, where Paul Walker actually drove it. The menacing, black muscle car will make its return to the franchise in the seventh film, too.
The Fast and Furious Charger is a real beast no matter how you look at it. The interior is nothing more than two seats and a roll cage, and as the video shows, this thing vibrates constantly like a coiled mass of muscle ready to strike. The camera can barely stay in place most of the time. Also, Dom's Dodge is more than happy to do a smoky burnout and leave the driver partially deaf afterward from its wonderful, ear-splitting engine roar.
The Aficionauto also interviews the man who controls the keys to this beast. Bob Hartwig was once an F-15 pilot, but he also loved Hollywood vehicles. Now, he's a partner at Picture Car Warehouse, a company with about 850 cars that supplies vehicles to film studios. This Charger definitely seems to be Hartwig's favorite in the collection, as it should be.
