This auction is for an immaculate 2005 Dodge SRT 10 Ram 1500 pickup. This truck is #43 of 500 and personally signed on the dash by Richard Petty at the 2005 Daytona 500. Additionally, the signing included the window sticker which is professionally matted and framed. The vehicle is clean inside and out and the undercarriage is like new. No modifications have been done and the truck remains as it did from the factory. It has the original Pirelli Scorpian tires and 22" rims. The options are standard for the SRT 10 yellow fever edition. This truck is one-of-a-kind and one of the cleanest available. It has been garage kept and never driven in the rain. 2015 Dodge Viper price drops $15k for 2015
Mon, 08 Sep 2014We recently saw updated specs and new trims of the 2015 Viper, but it looks like the folks at Dodge were saving the biggest surprise for last. Prices on all levels of the American sports car are seeing an immediate, across-the-board price cut of $15,000; even 2014 models still remaining on dealer lots.
The new MSRP for the 2015 Viper in its base SRT trim now starts at $84,995, and when the TA and GTS come to the lineup later next year, they start at $100,995 and $107,995, respectively. The move seems like a swing for the fences that might help to quell slow sales.
Obviously, current Viper owners might be somewhat peeved that their investment was just re-priced by the company. However, to assuage some of their concerns, Dodge is giving all fifth-gen owners a certificate worth $15,000 towards the purchase of a new one, which comes in addition to the price reduction.
Chrysler recalling over 280k minivans because airbags may deploy on wrong side
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Chrysler has issued a recall for some 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Ram C/V Tradesman vans built between May 10, 2012 and June 7, 2013. These vehicles may have a software error that would cause the wrong side (opposite side) airbags to deploy in a crash. With this defect, a left-side impact would cause the right-side airbag to deploy, etc.
The recall affects 281,500 vehicles in total: 224k in the US, 49,300 in Canada, 2,900 in Mexico and 5,300 in other locations. Chrysler will notify owners of effected vehicles, and reflash the offending occupant restraint control module to resolve the issue. Ralph Gilles responds to Dodge rumors, says brand is 'here to stay'
Fri, 12 Jul 2013This is why we love Ralph Gilles. While in Italy hanging out with a group of Viper Club members in Europe, the SRT boss took the time to respond to a question directed at him on Instagram in regards to the future of Dodge.
Recent reports have painted a bleak picture for Dodge, but Gilles defended Chrysler's full-line brand by stating that the rumors are, "all rumors, Dodge is here to stay! It may get more focused going forward but not killed!" The idea of a "more focused" Dodge brand could lend some credibility to reports that the Grand Caravan and Durango are on their way out, which would leave Dodge solely as a car, or car-based, automaker.
