2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10 – Regular Cab – 6 Speed Manual Hurst Shifter – Navigation – Very Clean Interior, Engine Bay, Exterior – Less Than 14K miles!!!

What we have for sale here is the ultra rare, never to be produces again 2005 lightweight 8.3L 10 Cylinder OHV 20 valve Viper powered sport truck to beat all sport trucks! This example has less than 13.9K miles and is rust free, 2 adult owned. It has immaculate dark grey leather and suede interior that smells like the day it was new.  The previous one owner spent thousands of dollars on an incredible exhaust upgrade (headers and stainless steel Magnaflow exhaust), as well as professionally installed Volante ram air, cold air intake. This is the lighter 2 door regular cab 6 speed with the 2 upgrades to free it’s breathing and increase horsepower and mileage.

Power drivers seat, leather trimmed steering wheel, cruise control, steering wheel audio controls for the awesome Infinity Stereo, CD audio system that is factory original. It has a Navigation System, Manual sliding rear window, Power door locks, windows, and sport mirrors. Rear Spoiler, Hood Scoop, Fog Lamps, 22-inch Polished Chrome Wheels with light oxidation (see photos). This was purchased 1.5 years ago in Texas with 7K miles on it and has been very carefully driven to shows and cruise nights for the additional 6.5K miles under my care. I have owned many spectacular sport vehicles including a LS7 Z06 Corvette.  This truck drives and handles nicer than the Corvette!!! With the intake and exhaust upgrades it is capable of 16+ MPG on the highway. You wouldn’t even be reading this if you didn’t know that these trucks were only produced 3 years in very low numbers and are already starting to go up in value. I think this is a blue chip motor vehicle investment (think 1970 Superbird). The only reason I am reluctantly selling is for raising capital for a new business.

Recent service included a full oil change with filter, new spark plugs, replacement of a coil pack. This truck has never had any accident damage, never been smoked in, or carried a pet. A factory zip tie had failed 2 months ago and allowed the wiring harness to get hot lightly damaging the wire for the oil pressure sending unit. Instead of patching just that one wire, we spent over $2,500 to have a certified Viper technician replace the entire under hood wiring harness and build new shielding and protection so that it cannot happen again (all service receipts included with sale).  This truck has had excellent care and service with no expense spared and is currently in top condition. The bed has never hauled a single thing. Buy with confidence.

Dodge Demon gets official insurance from Hagerty

Tue, Jul 11 2017

Hagerty Insurance has been covering enthusiast and classic cars for years, and now it will be offering special policies just for 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon owners – all 3,000 of them in the US and 300 in Canada, if they want. The big advantage to the Hagerty policies will be the Guaranteed Value coverage. Demon owners won't have to haggle about what the car's worth; Hagerty will set the value at the time the policy is issued, so there's no question about coverage should an owner total a Demon. Trust us: At least one owner will total a Demon, and that's a very conservative estimate. Dodge seems to be happy about the arrangement. Tim Kuniskis, who heads up the North American passenger car brands division, said in a statement that, "We didn't build the Demon to be a halo car that never sees the light of day – we want to make sure that Demon owners have access to the insurance they need to get these cars out on the street, for all the Dodge/SRT enthusiasts to see and appreciate their performance." Ordered a Demon and interested in coverage? There's a dedicated hotline for Demon owners at (844) 840-8733, or you can visit Hagerty's site and start a quote online. You're probably wondering if any of these policies will cover you at the strip. So are we. We're asking Hagerty and will fill you in when we have information. Related Video:

The Dodge Challenger plays its trump card: all-wheel drive

Wed, Dec 7 2016

Perennially stuck in third place behind the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro in sales and enthusiast comparisons, the Dodge Challenger is doing something unconventional for a muscle couple. It's adding all-wheel drive. It's a new feature for Detroit's pony cars – none of the three have ever had it – and it could be a game-changer. Called the Challenger GT, the Dodge launches this winter for a starting price of $34,490. The Challenger GT comes with the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 rated at 305 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque. It teams with an eight-speed TorqueFlight automatic transmission and is estimated to get 18 miles per gallon in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. An FCA spokesperson said no manual transmission or V8 models will be offered on the all-wheel-drive Challenger. It will be on display in January at the Detroit auto show. View 8 Photos All-wheel drive is a widely expected addition for the Challenger. The coupe shares underpinnings with the four-door Charger, which offers an all-wheel drive variant and the cars have similar powertrain offerings (the AWD Charger is also V6 and automatic only). Naturally, the Challenger borrows the Charger's AWD system and during regular driving conditions, the front axle disengages and full torque goes to the back wheels, allowing the Challenger to function as a rear-wheel drive car. It automatically goes back to AWD when more traction is needed. Handling is also fortified with a vehicle dynamic control system. Conversely, the electronic stability control has three modes and can be switched off for drift-happy enthusiasts. The GT has features familiar to other Challenger and Dodge owners, including an 8.4-inch touchscreen radio, Performance Pages (accessible through the Super Trak Pack button), and paddle shifters. A Sport Mode changes shift points to improve acceleration. It all rolls on 19-inch wheels wrapped in all-season rubber. The exterior gets a hood bulge, LED head- and taillights, and a decklid spoiler. The Challenger GT also offers a $995-interior package different than RWD models, adding Nappa leather, Alcantara suede seats, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, performance steering wheel, and more. All of that is just window dressing. It's all-wheel drive that could be a difference-maker for consumers. The Challenger won't likely be able to take down the Mustang, which will finish 2016 as the pony car sales king.

Chop the top of your new Dodge Viper for $35,000

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

We have good news, and we have bad news. First, the good: It's now possible to get a brand-new Dodge Viper roadster, which is nice, considering we're in the dead of summer and many of us like wind-in-the-hair motoring. Now, the bad: This is not a factory option from the automaker, instead coming courtesy of an aftermarket company called Prefix Performance, and that means it's going to cost you some serious coin.
Called Medusa, this drop-top Viper was created without the knowledge or consent of Dodge, but that's probably fine because Prefix works with the automaker already for the final preparation of the American supercar, including paint. According to the company, the current, fifth-gen Viper was built with a convertible version in mind, so no chassis strengthening is required. From the looks of the somewhat grainy photos available, the conversion appears of very high quality.
Want one? Well, that means you're going to need to procure a Viper - Prefix has 10 units ready for transformation as it stands - and that's going to cost at the very least $102,485. Then, you'll need to write a check for an additional $35,000 for Prefix to surgically remove the car's roof. Thing is, for that kind of cash, a prospective owner could buy, among other very nice options, a Viper hardtop and a loaded Miata, or a Corvette Stingray convertible and several pockets full of change. Or, perhaps a new Viper hardtop and a used, first-gen Viper convertible?
