Here's the entire story on this 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab. I'm the 2nd owner; it was purchased in April 2008. During the time I've owned it; it was well kept and well maintained. The vehicle was parked outside in May 2011 when a hail storm did it's damage. The insurance company decided to total the vehicle rather than repair. Now only liability insurance can be carried on the vehicle. In March of 2013 the head gasket began to leak. Before it could be taken to a shop for repairs the motor locked up, so I decided not to go the repair route. From an exterior standpoint I'd say the vehicle is in pretty decent shape. There's obvious hail dents on the hood and roof but they're really not too bad. No big dents (Ie.accident), paint is in good shape. The windshield is cracked and it needs tires. It does have the 20" custom wheels, Line X spray on bed liner. It has a real nice sounding Flowmaster "type" exhaust. I say Flowmaster "type" only because I do not know if it is actually Flowmaster or not. The interior is in excellent shape. There's one small tear in the rear bench seat cloth, but other than that the interior is in excellent shape. The dash, carpet, stereo, headliner, in great shape. It has power (heated) outside mirrors, power locks, power windows, and cruise control and the A/C works great. All gauges work just fine. Other than the motor and tires there's nothing that needs to be done to this truck. I still have the working key fob as well. I've taken several photos of everything I've described and then some. The truck has a clear title and is to be purchased "AS IS"! The buyer will be responsible for making their own arrangements for pick up. Obviously it will need to be towed. The starting bid is $1,000 and there is no reserve. If you live local and would like to see it please feel free to contact me via email to stop by. If needed I will end the auction early as the vehicle is listed locally. I will accept Paypal, Cash, or Bank Check. **No personal checks** I'm very honest as you can see through my 100% feedback rating. The description is very forward, honest and up front. Please feel free to contact me for further information. I'll be happy to reply.

Chrysler earns $1.7B in 2012, revises product plans for US
Wed, 30 Jan 2013Hot on the heels of Ford's earnings announcement for the year that was, Chrysler today reported a 2012 net income of $1.7 billion, up substantially from the comparatively minuscule $183 million profit earned in 2011 when it repaid its US government loans.
Chrysler's good year ended with an excellent fourth quarter that saw net income rise 68 percent from $225 million in 2011 to $378 million. Where are all those extra earnings coming from? Market share, which Chrysler saw increase to 11.4% last year on sales of 1.65 million vehicles. In fact, the Auburn Hills, MI-based automaker out-paced the industry's market growth of 13 percent last year with sales up 21 percent for the year.
The company also revealed an updated product plan for its Chrysler Group and Fiat brands that looks all the way out to 2016. It's an updated version of the plan introduced in 2009 shortly after Fiat took control of the American automaker, and includes such new additions as an Alfa Romeo model, likely the 4C, to be introduced in the US this year, as well five more Alfa models by 2016. Likewise, Fiat will be growing by an additional seven models in the coming few years.

Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites
Sun, Jan 7 2024Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
