The Good: Drives AWESOME, no issues, interior is VERY cleran, dash, radio, control knob area looks brand new, 4WD works flawlessly, so leaks, no weeping, I use full synthetic oil, no smoke, all the bells and whistle for power everything inside, tires good, all lights and electricl work as they should, sounds great. Besides whats listed below (and I try to be as thorough and accurate as I can, I dont want to waste your time or mine) there is no other rust on the truck. These rust spots are due soley to the dings or dents that happened where paint was cracked in very small spots, this is NOT ROT!!!! Has the infinity speaker syste but one spaeker isnt working so I am replacing both front channels with 5 start rated decent speakers from Crutchfield. Overll (besides the dings) this truck is in GREAT shape and could be driven another 200k miles or more if taken care of... it runs that good. Beautiful dark maroon color.
Books for $11,900 in GOOD condition and $10,700 in FAIR:
The Bad: small hole in rear seat from what looks like a cigarette burn, larger hole on drivers seat, not sure why its before my time but both can be repaired and I may do it over the next week or so, passenger side has dent above healight but no rust there(see pic) and one along passenegr side bed (can probably be pulled out with a suction cup), only rust is one spot behing the fron wheel on front edge of rocker panel (looks like it hit something small, no dent just rust and just on surface), rust around wheel well on passenger side but just starting (looks like whatever made dent on that rear quarter made the paint crack and thats where rust is starting)
I will deliver the vehicle for an up front fee (deliverable through Paypal as a 'gift'), depending on where I have to go... I will drive it there and bus or fly back. Will deliver within an hour of Naples, ME for $50 gas fee... again up front. Deposit and delivery fee is non-refundable.

Chrysler recalls 350k vehicles over ignition switches
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Chrysler has announced a recall covering 349,442 vehicles due to ignition switches that can either become stuck or move without warning. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2008 model year, and were built before May 12, 2008.
The automaker has learned that ignition keys on some vehicles "may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position during engine-startup," the company said in a statement. Additionally, "an ignition key may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position and may inadvertently move through the 'ON' position to 'ACCESSORY' or 'OFF.'"
Chrysler says it is unaware of any related injuries, and notes that while reduced braking, engine or steering power is possible in such instances, the airbags are not affected. The later stands in contrast to General Motors' recent rash of high-profile recalls, and it's an important distinction that Chrysler (understandably) felt necessary to call out in bold print in its press release.
Are supercars becoming less special?
Thu, Sep 3 2015There's little doubt that we are currently enjoying the golden age of automotive performance. Dozens of different models on sale today make over 500 horsepower, and seven boast output in excess of 700 hp. Not long ago, that kind of capability was exclusive to supercars – vehicles whose rarity, performance focus, and requisite expense made them aspirational objects of desire to us mortals. But more than that, supercars have historically offered a unique driving experience, one which was bespoke to a particular model and could not be replicated elsewhere. But in recent years, even the low-volume players have been forced to find the efficiencies and economies of scale that formerly hadn't been a concern for them, and in turn the concept of the supercar as a unique entity unto itself is fading fast. The blame doesn't fall on one particular manufacturer nor a specific production technique. Instead, it's a confluence of different factors that are chipping away at the distinction of these vehicles. It's not all bad news – Lamborghini's platform sharing with Audi for the Gallardo and the R8 yielded a raging bull that was more reliable and easier to live with on a day-to-day basis, and as a result it went on to become the best-selling Lambo in the company's history. But it also came at the cost of some of the Italian's exclusivity when eerily familiar sights and sounds suddenly became available wearing an Audi badge. Even low-volume players have been forced to find economies of scale. Much of this comes out of necessity, of course. Aston Martin's recent deal with Mercedes-AMG points toward German hardware going under the hood and into the cabin of the upcoming DB11, and it's safe to assume that this was not a decision made lightly by the Brits, as the brand has built a reputation for the bespoke craftsmanship of its vehicles. There's little doubt that the DB11 will be a fine automobile, but the move does jeopardize some of the characteristic "specialness" that Astons are known for. Yet the world is certainly better off with new Aston Martins spliced with DNA from Mercedes-AMG rather than no new Astons at all, and the costs of developing cutting-edge drivetrains and user interfaces is a burden that's becoming increasingly difficult for smaller manufacturers to bear. Even Ferrari is poised to make some dramatic changes in the way it designs cars.
Motorweek goes retro with '80s hot hatch shootout
Mon, 03 Nov 2014Motorweek's decades of history on television make it the perfect medium to look back into the automotive past and see how things are different now. It recently added old road test videos to its YouTube channel of the Acura NSX and Toyota Supra, as well as the Ferrari F40. For one of its newest flashback clips, Motorweek has exhumed an affordable five-car challenge of 1986's premiere hot hatches.
By today's standards, this is an eclectic field that features fondly remembered classics like the Volkswagen GTI 16-valve and Acura Integra. However, it also throws in some nearly forgotten contenders like the Dodge Colt Turbo and Ford Escort GT. The angular Toyota Corolla FX16 GT-S rounds out the group.
It's fascinating to watch Motorweek run the quintet through the slalom, down the drag strip and on various roads. What's most striking in this clip is the difference in the definition of a performance car between then and now. With its 16-valve, 1.8-liter four-cylinder, the GTI is the burliest of the contenders with 123 horsepower, but it still takes 8.8 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour. By today's standards, that would make it a plain-jane economy car, and not even a particularly quick one.
