Year:2004 Mileage:74264
Location:

New Smyrna Beach, Florida, United States

New Smyrna Beach, Florida, United States

I purchased this Real Rumble Bee (see 4136 on dash plaque and the $2,600.00 Rumble Bee Group on window sticker) from Daytona Dodge in Daytona Beach Florida August 11th 2004 almost exactly 10 years ago to the day and have driven on the average of just over 7 thousand miles a year since. I drive one of my other vehicles to work most of the time.
I'm not going to run down the full option list but it does include 5 original 20"X9" Cast Aluminum wheels with full size spare.
The very special (and Rare) Rumble Bee Leather seats with power driver seat and leather covered center seat cushion storage compartment.
Overhead console with trip computer.
Special audiophile quality sound system with remote.
Power door locks with remote key less entry.
Tilt steering column.
Cab back storage and sliding rear window.
Power-heated fold away mirrors.
Trailer tow package with 136 amp alternator.
5 speed automatic transmission backing up the 5.7 Liter Hemi Magnum engine in front of a Positraction 3.92 rear gear.
26 gallon polyethylene fuel tank.
Heavy Duty front stabilizer bar. speed/cruise control.
Power windows with driver one touch down feature.
Full analog instrumentation with white face gauges and tachometer.
Cargo lamp and bed liner.
Sport appearance group with Fog Lamps body color grille, body color rear bumper with step pads & body color fascia.
All of this along with all the usual options that you find on well optioned vehicles an too many others to mention.
The cold A/C is nice on a Hot August Day here in Sunny Florida.
This truck has always performed flawlessly and the oil filter & drain plug will be pulled tomorrow and the oil with less than 3 thousand miles will drain for the last time while in my possession.
By now you have gathered that this isn't just any truck and has not been neglected.
That about exhausts my ability to describe this Rumble Bee.
The steering is unbelievably tight and responsive (since day one) with a tendency for anyone without experience to over-steer a corner until they grow accustomed to the sensitivity.
Once payment in full is secure, I will gladly turn over the title keys and truck at the local tag office or I can refer you to a licensed Florida dealer with a great eBay track record that will handle the entire transaction for us and get you transferred prior to your arrival to drive home.
You can be picked up at either Daytona, Sanford or Orlando airports.
I'm sure that I've overlooked many areas where you might have a question.
I put off selling this truck for far too long so email any question/s and I will try my best to respond in a timely manner.
Thank you for your interest, bid whatever it is worth to you & enjoy the auction..

Dodge pulls New Girl and The Office stars for new Dart spots

Wed, 06 Aug 2014

Dodge is hoping that a heavy dash of humor helps it move some more units of the Dart with a hilarious ad campaign called Don't Touch My Dart. The spots star actors Craig Robinson, best known for his role as Darryl on The Office, and Jake Johnson from New Girl as neighbors and friends playing a game of one-upmanship over Robinson's new car. Johnson is envious of the ride and just wants to touch it.
The ads are pretty funny if you're a fan of somewhat absurdist humor, and Robinson has just the right amount of over-the-top seriousness to really make the commercials work. They have kind of a Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote vibe with Johnson constantly in inept pursuit of what he wants, but he clearly isn't getting it.
The first four spots in the campaign are already online, but according to Dodge this is just the beginning. The company says that it's planning about 24 different versions of these ads in various lengths to play on TV and online. You can check out the ads titled First Scratch, Birdhouse Police Garage Door and Voice Touching below, along with the brand's release about the new ads. There's also a pretty good gag on its YouTube page with Robinson protecting his Dart.

Hypermiling a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel to 38.1 mpg

Fri, May 9 2014

You never quite know what Wayne Gerdes has up his sleeve. The man who coined the term hypermiling is always looking for adventurous ways to prove that anyone – even you... yes, you – can eke out more miles per gallon just by changing the way you drive. Saying that is easy. Proving it by going on outlandish cross-country drives is hard. But for Gerdes and his team of fuel economy fiends over at CleanMPG, hard is half the fun. Our latest adventure appeared, at first glance, to be nearly impossible. Which is why we always answer the phone when Gerdes calls. He likes to take journalists along on his drives, not only to try teach us how to hypermile but also to prove that we can be taught. The first time I 'helped' him and his team was when we got over 30 miles per gallon in a 2011 Ford F-150 XLT with the EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6. The EPA rated that truck with at just 16 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway. So, we'll count that trip as a success. Next up was a cross-country drive last fall in a trio of Audi TDI vehicles to prove that you don't need to drive extra slow to beat the EPA numbers. In fact, we made it from Los Angeles to New York City in just over 46 hours, cramped but not cranky. We had once again proven that how you drive is hugely important to your fuel usage. Our latest adventure appeared, at first glance, to be nearly impossible. The EPA says that the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel we would be driving gets just 22 combined mpg (19 city and 27 highway). Gerdes' idea was to drive it as far north from Houston, TX towards Detroit, MI as we could go on one tank. The day before we left, our itinerary got an extra stop. Instead of taking one of the official Shell Eco-marathon prototype vehicles to Detroit, it was decided to bring the winning diesel-powered prototype from the just-finished event to The Henry Ford Museum, where it had been arranged the car would be displayed. The winning car was built by a small team (just four students) from Sullivan High School in Sullivan, IN, who managed to beat a number of college teams with a score of 1,899.32 mpg. That target would be a bit out of reach for the Ram, but could we get 1,000 miles from the tank? Since the truck has a 26 gallon tank (officially, anyway), that would mean the EPA says we could only go 702 miles, assuming all highway driving. Could we make up 300 miles with careful driving? That spells both challenge and fun.

Custom 2014 Dodge Durango R/T proves SEMA can be subtle

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas can often be a sensory overload of overwrought madness, with cars that don't even look drivable anymore. But every once in a while, a modestly modified show car graces our presence, like the customized Dodge Durango you see here, which, in addition to giving us our first glimpse at the aftermarket possibilities for the refreshed-for-2014 model, proves that a car doesn't have to be slammed, scooped, donked and Lambo-doored to have presence.
Sure, this Durango has custom hood inserts, dark 22-inch wheels and custom fender flares, but as far as external modifications go, that's it. Inside, Dodge has fitted new door sill guards, an ambient lighting kit, bright pedals, premium floor mats and - of course - Katzkin leather. The automaker has even added wireless internet connectivity as part of the excellent Uconnect infotainment system.
Performance upgrades are minimal on this Durango R/T, which comes packed with Chrysler's 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Larger brakes have been fitted, as have lowering springs (though it certainly doesn't look that much lower) and a custom exhaust.
