This 1973 Powerwagon started life as a 1/2 Ton 3-on-the-tree.  I bought this truck in 2004 and used it as a daily driver for several years.  I made it a 440 3/4 Ton automatic.  And, after gas prices went up, I bought a wrecked W250 Cummins truck and did a full conversion.  So basically this truck is a 1991 Cummins 4x4 with a 1973 body on it.  This is NOT a hack job.  No rust in the floor boards.

Interior is very decent.  All gauges and lights work.  This truck is definitely a daily driver, averaging around 19-21 mpg.  It's not perfect by any means, as it has approx. 245K miles.  It does have one dent in the driver door, and the paint is fading.  All in all a pretty straight truck.

All wiring for the conversion was pretty basic and straight forward.  I have had no issues.  It has 7" of lift, which easily clears 36" tires.  It currently has bald 33" tires on it.  It has factory clearance lights.  The drive train is your basic 91 W250 (dana 60 front, 518 auto, 205 tcase, dana 70 rear, running 3.55 ratio, tight factory powerlock in rear).  The motor is pretty stock.  It does have a K&N cold air intake and a DennyT fuel pin.

Always fires in cold weather.  Has never let me down.  I would not hesitate to drive this truck across the United States.  My plans were to make a crew cab out of it (I have the crew cab for an additional fee), but I just don't have the time (wife + 3 kids).

The truck comes with ProTec cab guard and ProTec in-bed tool box.  The truck also has a tow package, though it's not wired for trailers.  It also has kattle killer front and rear bumpers with worn winch on front.

Feel free to call me with questions.  My name is Jason, 503-269-1185.

Upon receiving payment in full, I can deliver this truck within a 500 mile radius with a negotiated delivery fee.  Further than 500 miles is buyer responsibility for shipping/transport.

A $200 deposit is required within 48 hours of auction close.  Full payment required within 7 days of auction close.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat gets 22 mpg

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

With its crazy 707 horsepower on tap and roughly $60,000 starting price, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been one of the most talked about cars of the summer, maybe even the year. However, there's always been one lingering question about the behemoth that Dodge has waited to answer until now - its fuel economy. The EPA ratings for the muscle car are finally out, and the numbers are actually pretty impressive for a vehicle with this much power.
A 2015 Challenger Hellcat with the eight-speed automatic is rated at 22 miles per gallon highway, 13 mpg city and 16 mpg combined. Opting for the six-speed manual drops those figures to 21 mpg highway, 13 mpg city and 16 mpg combined.
"As the fastest muscle car ever, the Challenger Hellcat can run 10-second ETs [elapsed times] at the track, and then get 22 miles per gallon on the drive home. With a starting price of $59,995, there's nothing else that even comes close," said Dodge and SRT President Tim Kuniskis in the company's release.

FCA CEO Mike Manley will take undefined new role after PSA merger

Wed, Dec 18 2019

MILAN — Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Mike Manley will remain with the new group set to result from a planned merger with French rival PSA-Peugeot, Chairman John Elkann said on Wednesday. In a letter to Fiat Chrysler (FCA) employees on the day the two companies announced a binding agreement for a $50 billion tie-up to create the world's fourth-largest carmaker, Elkann said he was "delighted" that the combined group would be led by current PSA CEO Carlos Tavares. "And Mike Manley, who has led FCA with huge energy, commitment and success over the past year, will be there alongside him," he said. He did not say what position Manley would hold. Elkann — who will chair the new group — said there was still much to be done to complete the merger. "Over the coming months we must work tirelessly and determinedly to fulfill all the approval requirements needed to finalize the commitment we have signed," he said. Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat ringtone revs up [w/video]

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The best (or worst, depending on your views) thing about smartphones is that you're able to carry lots, and lots of useful stuff around in your pocket. That means you can always have a phone, messaging service, email, flashlight, calculator, dictionary, encyclopedia, and literally thousands of other things on your person at all times. Now, we can add one more thing for you to carry about in your little slab of aluminum, glass and plastic - a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Now, you obviously can't carry around a 707-horsepower muscle car around in your pocket. That'd be ridiculous, impractical and uncomfortable. You can, however, carry around the noise made by said muscle car's 6.2-liter, supercharged Hemi V8, thanks to a new, free-to-download ringtone from the folks at Dodge and SRT.
We can't embed the ringtone here, so if you'd like to hear exactly how it'll sound when your phone goes off, you'll need to head over to the SRT Hellcat's page. If that's more trouble than it's worth, the same ringtone was attached to a tiny speaker on the press kit for the mighty Challenger, and was captured on video by our own Seyth Miersma (don't worry, he's already been soundly dressed down for shooting a video in portrait mode).
