This truck served in the army, then it went to be a brush truck in the San Juan Islands through the '80's. Then became a plow truck until 2010. Rebuilt motor from the bottom up and has new bearings, all new seals/gaskets. New clutch, new gaskets in the transmission.  It has 5 brand new tires and has 5 bead lock wheels and Superwinch locking hubs.
4x4 AWD high and low gears for rocks crawling. 4 speed manual. It also has a brand new black canvas top. I have the paperwork for the truck from the 80's to current and it also already has a Collector's plate on it so it is road ready.
Windshield and driver side door window are cracked and could use new glass. Flat glass, easy to replace. We like the way it is.
Brakes work, runs and drives well, fun to drive. With a new paint job this truck will pretty much be ready for anything.
Bonus:  extra parts such a original carburetor, original distributor, turn signal parts, new door seals, newer model winch and more items.
Inspections are welcome before bidding. Full payment is due within 8 days of the end of the action. buyer is responsible for sales taxes.
Notice: By placing a bid you are entering in to a legally binding contract and you are committed to purchase this vehicle.
The truck is sold as is. No warranty or guarantee is included.

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.

Ron Burgundy returns for four more Dodge Durango ads

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Dodge has released several more of its Anchorman 2-themed commercials, starring Will Ferrell as inept newsreader Ron Burgundy. The four spots, one of which is a sequel to a previous commercial, follow roughly the same pattern as previous ads, with Ferrell's Burgundy misunderstanding or generally making a fool of himself. For some of the ads, though, Burgundy is selling more than just Durangos - the red-suited host of San Diego's most watched news broadcast shilling the entire Dodge lineup.
We've included all four ads down below, and you can also hope over to our original posts to see some of the older commercials. Oh, and if you're getting tired of these - we aren't, aside from the Do-dge spot - just remember that Ferrell reportedly filmed around 70 ads for Dodge.

Jay Leno's Dodge Challenger raises $585k for USO in Scottsdale

Mon, Jan 19 2015

Of all the metal moved in Scottsdale, AZ, this holiday weekend, the one you see here was hardly the most expensive. But it's noteworthy for another reason: despite being a relatively humble, second-hand 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8, raised an impressive $565,625. That's because, first of all, it belonged to Jay Leno, and secondly because the proceeds were going to the USO. Leno donated the modern muscle car from his collection to benefit our men and women in uniform, and was on hand to present the car on stage at the Gooding & Company auction, along with USO president J.D. Crouch II and former Army chief of staff General George W. Casey, Jr. After frenzied and patriotic bidding, the gavel ultimately dropped at $360,000, accompanied by over $200,000 in additional contributions, bringing the total amount donated to the USO to over half a million. Commendable though it was, of course the Challenger didn't garner the highest bids at the auction. A 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider sold for $7.7 million and a 1968 Ferrari 330 GTS fetched $2.4 million. A rare 1962 Ferrari 400 Superamerica Series I Coupe Aerodinamico sold for over $4,070,000 – which, according to Sports Car Market, is the most ever paid at auction for a 400 Superamerica. And a 1966 Porsche 906 Carrera 6 also sold for a record $1.98 million.
