2005 Dodge 5.7 Hemi Power Wagon, Warn Winch, New Tires, Runs Great, 4x4 L@@k on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
Up for auction is a "1" owner 2005 Dodge Power Wagon, 4x4 Hemi powered BEAST! The truck features a 5.7 Hemi with a automatic transmission. The truck has 84,500 miles on her which is considered lower mileage for it's age. The engine and trans are sealed up nice with no leaks or drips under the hood. The truck has a working 10,000 lb Warn Winch up front, and a nice tonneau cover over the bed. The truck is close to being fully stock, and has not been modified. I am selling this truck for a friend, and please feel free to ask as many questions as you would like. I will make sure to get your questions answered quickly. The truck was bought here in Las Vegas, brand new in 2005. There is NO RUST on the truck at all, and she runs perfect even when it's 115 degrees. The truck was maintained by a local Dodge dealership here in town, and the services were always completed on time. The truck has not been abused by any means but, she does show normal wear for a 9 year old truck. She has some scratches and small chips in the paint from road debris. There is a dent in the right rear next to the bumper though. The truck has a spray in bed liner, and is equipped with a nice stainless steel toolbox in the bed also. The truck has Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Power Seats, and Windows. The A/C blows out ice cold, and the electronic 4WD shifts right into gear. This is a nice truck for everyday use, or a great outdoor truck. The exterior paint is in ok shape overall. The truck could use a good wax, as the sun here is brutal. It may be hard to see in the pictures but there are some light scratches in the paint down the sides of the truck from bushes in the desert. The marks would buff out as they are light in nature, and they come from taking the truck out hunting. There are a few small dents in the side of the bed on the drivers side near the tailgate. You can see those in the pictures. Also, the cover is broken in the back of the passenger side mirror, on the outer lower part. It's the black cover on the back of the power mirror. The interior over all is clean, the seats have covers on them to help keep them clean. The drivers seat does have a small tear in the back right side of the seat. None of the other seats have any rips or tears in them. The carpet is decent, the door panels are good, and all of the electrical items work just fine, like the power locks, stereo, blinkers, horn, and all the gauges. The dash does not have any cracks either. The tires are just a few months old and in great shape. They are BFG All Terrain tires, 315/70/17's. Please feel free to come look at the truck before you buy it, or ask any questions you may have. This truck is a nice daily driver type truck. It is 9 years old and does show normal wear and tear. The truck is free and clear of any liens, and I have a clear title in hand. There is a $1000 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of winning the auction. he truck is being sold " As Is" with no warranties due to it's age. The remaining balance will be due in 5 days after the auction ends. The remaining balance can be paid in cash, bank check, or by wire transfer. The truck must be picked up in 2 weeks, or you need to contact me to make other arrangements. |

1970 Hemi Challenger is a family heirloom with serious muscle
Wed, Dec 30 2015Petrolicious turns up the emotion in its latest video about a family's connection to their 1970 Dodge Challenger. The orange muscle car that gets the spotlight here is a remarkably beautiful vehicle, but the story of a father and his sons at the core of this clip might leave you feeling a little misty eyed. Juan Escalante is the current owner of this Challenger, but it belonged to his dad first. Juan's father spotted the iconic muscle car during the 1969 Detroit Auto Show and had to have one. He soon placed an order for the orange '70 Challenger R/T with the rare combination for that year of a 426 Hemi V8 and a four-speed manual gearbox. The family even brought the coupe with them when they moved to Venezuela in 1972, and local fans dubbed it El Hemi. However, parts were scarce for the muscle car in that country, and it returned to the US in 1996 for a restoration. Now, the rumbling Challenger with its Coke-bottle profile and black hood is the world's most awesome family heirloom for the Escalantes. In this poignant video, Petrolicious shows how the coupe connects Juan to his father. Related Video:
FCA plants skipping summer shutdown to keep up with demand
Thu, May 14 2015Hopefully, some FCA US factory employees don't have big plans for the usual summer shutdown, because the automaker is keeping several plants running this year. Demand is so high that the company wants to keep models rolling off the assembly lines. Four FCA US assembly plants, all the engine factories, and some locations that build transmissions are staying open throughout the summer, according to the Detroit Free Press. Usually, these sites would see a two-week shutdown for the company to retool and perform repairs. This year, factories are staying open for FCA to support its strong sales. The lines that remaining humming through the summer show an inclination toward the automaker's popular SUV's and crossovers. They include the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Michigan that builds the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango; Saltillo Van Assembly in Mexico that constructs the Ram ProMaster; Toledo Assembly Complex in Ohio that produces the Cherokee and Wrangler; and Toluca Assembly in Mexico that makes the Dodge Journey and Fiat 500. Dodge to sell off first Challenger SRT Hellcat for charity
Sun, 27 Jul 2014
Want to get your hands on a new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and can't wait to be the first to get one? Las Vegas will be the place to be on September 27. That's where Barrett-Jackson will auction off the very first example. And you'd better bring your checkbook, because the bidding is sure to be fierce with all the proceeds going to charity.
The supercharged Challenger with VIN 0001 has been hand-painted in Stryker Red (usually reserved for the Viper) and features special badging, documentation and accompanying memorabilia - not to mention, of course, that 707-horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8. The car will be on display this weekend as well at Barrett-Jackson's Hot August Nights auction in Reno.
