Four door 4x4 Power Ram in great shape for its age, and a lot of new parts/upgrades make this truck a steal.  Originally a farmers truck spending most of its time in storage and it shows with very minimal surface rust, It has been rhino lined and painted for an outstanding protection against the weather.

New parts include: Professional Products Crosswind air gap intake along with Fel-Pro gaskets and fittings, new Holley 650 electric choke carb, new Volt Max X-TREME Spark PlugWire/Cap and Rotor Kits, NEW Champion SPARKPLUGS, MSD blaster 2 coil, Mopar Performance Electronic Conversion Kit with Distributor & Orange electronic control box, new master cylinder, new Wilwood Brake adjustable Proportioning Valve, all new brake lines, new thermostat, new Smittybilt Security Stereo Floor Console, new Mopar Performance wrinkle black Cast Aluminum Valve Covers, Two new Interco IROK Bias Ply Tires 36 x 13.50-16.50, and also have brand new Summit Racing long tube headers and 3” Purple Hornies mufflers still in box ready to install.

The not so good: Brakes need to be properly bled, has dents (as you can see from the pics), missing speedometer cable, gas, speedometer & odometer gauges not currently working, driver door latch needs a return spring (but does close and lock), and back lights will need to be serviced (blinkers and stop lights do work).

The Great: Engine runs strong, it starts right up with just a bump of the key, and tranny doesn’t miss a beat either.  Skyjacker lift kit was put on before me so not really sure how much lift it is, but the 36” tires fit just fine with no rubbing at full turn and it looks like 37” could fit as well.  Just passed inspection and registration is current.  It comes with a spare Super Swamper TSL Radial tire 36x14.50 in great shape with a lot of thread left on it.  All fluids have been replaced including both differentials, transfer case, and radiator has been flushed.  4x4 works great so no worries there.  These four door Dodge's are getting harder to find so don't miss out. I have the clear Texas title in hand ready for the winner!

From Maseratis to rental cars | Autoblog Podcast #511

Fri, Apr 7 2017

On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman are in a huddle room (again), because the studio was already taken (again). We talk about the all-wheel-drive Dodge Challenger GT (again), as well as the Jeep Wrangler, Maserati Levante, Miata RF (again), and then David waxes poetic on mediocre rental cars (or similar). The episode wraps up with the traditional doling out of Spend My Money buying advice, with some input from an S2000 owner on advice discussed last time. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. Chrysler recalling 67k trucks with manual transmissions

Tue, Dec 30 2014

Earlier this month, Chrysler announced the recall of some 280,000 pickup trucks over concerns that their axles could seize up. Now the automaker has announced an entirely separate recall of another 66,819 trucks over the springs that could break in the clutch ignition interlock switch. The recall affects Dodge Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups, as well as the Dodge Dakota and Mitsubishi Raider. The issue is relevant only to those trucks fitted with manual transmissions, from the 2006 and 2007 model years and manufactured between July 1, 2005, and July 31, 2006. Since a broken spring could, according to statements issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and FCA US LLC (previously known as the Chrysler Group) prevent the vehicle from starting, or cause it to move unintentionally once the ignition kicks over, the automaker will begin notifying owners of the affected vehicles just before Valentine's Day to bring their trucks into their local dealers to have the clutch ignition interlock switch replaced. FCA emphasizes, however, that the unintended movement would only occur "in rare cases" and only "if recommended starting procedures are not followed." Only one such case is known to have occurred, but it did regrettably result in a fatality. Statement: Clutch Ignition Interlock Switch December 29, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is launching a voluntary global recall of an estimated 66,819 older-model pickup trucks equipped with manual transmissions. The Company will replace their clutch ignition interlock switches at no charge to customers. An investigation by FCA US engineers discovered switches in certain model-year 2006 and 2007 pickups may be equipped with spring wire that differs from wire used in previous switches. The alternate wire may break and, as a result, the vehicles may not start. In rare cases, a vehicle may – if recommended starting procedures are not followed Β– exhibit unintended movement when its ignition key is turned. The Company is aware of one fatality related to this campaign. It stemmed from the single known accident involving this population of vehicles. The recall covers certain Dodge Dakota, Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 and Mitsubishi Raider pickups. Switches with the alternate wire were not used in any vehicles produced before July of 2005, or after June of 2006. The Dakota and Raider are no longer in production.

Dodge Charger and Challenger will live on, but a new Viper is unlikely

Tue, Jun 5 2018

BALOCCO, Italy — As FCA's latest five-year plan was presented last week, most of the day was focused on four brands Β— Jeep, Ram, Maserati and Alfa Romeo. That left a lot of people wondering about the future of the Chrysler, Fiat and Dodge nameplates. At the last five-year event, Dodge was one of the main features. We heard plans for an expanded lineup that included refreshed versions of the Viper, Challenger and Charger, the last two riding on the Alfa Romeo Giorgio platform. Times sure have changed. Dodge isn't going away, but the brand will be narrowed and focused. Performance is the name of the game, but don't look for a new Viper anytime soon. FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne simply said it's "not in the plan." Marchionne thought it was a great idea but that it couldn't live on as a standalone product. If it does eventually return, expect it to share parts with other FCA products, possibly with one of the upcoming Maseratis. On the other hand, Marchionne confirmed that both the Dodge Challenger and Charger will continue to live on. In the last five-year plan, FCA said that the pair would share underpinnings with future Alfa Romeos. That was promising news for those hoping for smaller, lighter versions of each model that would be better suited to fight models like the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro. It seems the Alfa Romeo platform is off the table. Marchionne said the current LX platform would indeed live on, though it would be "unrecognizable" compared to what we have today. The LX architecture is ancient, and, although it's been continuously updated, its basic bones date back to the DaimlerChrysler days. Marchionne said that the Alfa platform just doesn't have the character American shoppers are looking for in those vehicles. It's unclear when the next iteration of the Charger and Challenger will arrive, but expect another refresh sometime before 2022. Look for an updated version of the tried-and-true Hemi V8. Rumors continue to swirl about a larger and more powerful 7.0-liter variant dubbed the Banshee, but we'll have to wait and see how that pans out.
