1963 Dodge Powerwagon M37 Military 4x4 Truck, Short Wheelbase on 2040-cars
Blue Springs, Missouri, United States
1963 DODGE POWERWAGON M37 4x4 MILITARY PICK-UP, inline 6-cylinder flat-head engine, 4-speed manual transmission, high/low range, PTO, 24-volt electric system, older 9.00X16" bias-ply rough-tread tires. This truck runs and drives but the brakes will need bled and perhaps some other issues addressed (they worked enough for me to drive the truck several blocks to the storage unit where these photos were taken. The engine starts nicely with no smoke, leaks, knocks or other unwanted noises. The steering seems tight and the truck was a blast to drive. The truck comes with the original military-issued shop manual and operators guide. The vehcile appears nearly rust-free other than some minor surface rust and one small 1" diameter spot on the cowl near the driver's door. ENGINE: inline 6-cylinder -- appears to be the original, NO SMOKE, KNOCKS or LEAKS that we can detect. We just rebuild the carburetor for depenbability. TRANSMISSION: 4-speed manually-shifted -- appears to be the original unit. Also has what appears to be the original 4-wheel drive transfer case & PTO mechanism (the wench has been removed by the previous owner). BODY: 2-door conventional cab pick-up with 6.5' "step-side" cargo box, all factory original. PAINT: repainted from original military ODG to fire department red with white painted cab top. Only one small rust spot on cowl near driver's door. Lot's of patina/character on this one, but a rock-solid truck, needing repaint, complete restoration or enjoy 'as-is'. SUMMARY: This is a nice truck and it's rare to find a retired military Powerwagon that hasn't been completely beat up. While this one shows wear and tear, there's a lot to like about this truck...it's a restorer's paradise, or it's perfect for the weekend warrior wanting a dependable truck to use on their farm or hunting property. DISCLAIMER: NO WARRANTY IS IMPLIED...TRUCK IS BEING SOLD 'AS-IS'. I ENCOURAGE INTERESTED PARTIES TO CALL AND COME VIEW THIS TRUCK IN PERSON BEFORE BIDDING AS THE SALE IS FINAL. We can assist a trucking company with loading, but shipping logistics and expenses are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. CALL DARRELL AT 816-812-1965 FOR MORE INFORMATION OR TO SET AN APPOINTMENT TO VIEW THE TRUCK IN PERSON.

Saleen SA-30 Mustang, Camaro and Challenger help celebrate the big 3-0
Fri, 22 Nov 2013After 30 years of tuning performance cars and building racecars, Saleen is celebrating its racing heritage with a limited-production car line called SA-30. Based on the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, Saleen will only build 10 of each SA-30 model at a base price of $95,000.
For that money, buyers will get upgraded suspension, brakes and engines, and while the power figures have not been released for the SA-30 620 Camaro and SA-30570 Challenger models, the SA-30 302 Mustang will be the top performer with 625 horsepower. Each car will be painted up in a custom pearl white hue with black and yellow accents, and get white wheels shrouding yellow powder-coated brake calipers. Inside, the SA-30 offerings will all get a proper Saleen interior with black leather and white Alcantara on the seats, along with the expected smattering of SA-30 badges.
On all three SA-30 models, customers will have various options available to further customize their cars, including a rear-seat delete option that transforms each car's cabin into a race-inspired interior with a chassis-strengthening rear cross brace. Perhaps the coolest feature of all, though, is the Saleen Frost-Touch Glass that is an option on the SA-30 302 Mustang. Similar to the Mercedes Sky Control roof first introduced on the Mercedes SLK, the Saleen Frost-Touch Glass allows the Mustang's optional glass roof and rear window to be switched from transparent to opaque at the push of a button.
Real-life Bravado Banshee from Grand Theft Auto up for sale
Sun, 01 Jun 2014Remember the Bravado Banshee that West Coast Customs built last year to promote Grand Theft Auto V? Given away by GameStop, the woman who won it says she's better off with money to send her two kids to college than with a race car, so now you can steal buy it on eBay.
Based on a 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10, every exterior panel was redesigned to match the Banshee, and the red embroidered badging inside won't let you forget it. There's still that V10 up front that can make some kind of racket, and a SEMA-worthy stereo filling the entire trunk to make a different kind of racket. Oh, it's also got hood struts that have crapped out, so you'll notice the hood is held up with a wooden rod.
The auction ends on June 5, and you can make an offer or hit the Buy It Now button and hand over $170,000. Might be time to change the outfit and run a few jobs for some quick cash.
MotorWeek proves '90s were awesome with Supra, Stealth, RX-7, Corvette, 968, 300ZX comparo
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Oh, the heady days of 1993, back when the Clinton Presidency was just getting underway, and it seemed like every hot new rock band was coming out of Seattle. Sports cars in the US had finally shaken off the shackles that slowed them during the '70s and '80s, and you could buy any number of legitimately quick vehicles again. MotorWeek recently went digging into its archives to find this six-model test from 1993 showing off some of the best semi-affordable performance coupes that money could buy at the time, and it's priceless.
Featuring the 1994 model year Toyota Supra in twin-turbo guise and MY 1993 versions of the Porsche 968, Nissan 300ZX TT, Mazda RX-7, Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo and Chevrolet Corvette LT-1, MotorWeek definitely covered all of the bases. One thing that might surprise younger readers is these cars' performance. The video only provides 0-60 acceleration times, but several of these vehicles would still be considered pretty potent today - over 20 years since going on sale. The Supra is especially impressive, hitting 60 miles per hour in just 5 seconds. Even today, that's nothing to sneeze at.
Given their performance potential and still-attractive looks, it's amazing that some of these coupes are old enough to drink now. The progress of interior design and safety equipment in the intervening years is pretty shocking, though. In most of these models, having two airbags is touted as a big deal. Scroll down to watch a Throwback Thursday blast from the past about some of the '90s best sports cars.
