1952 Dodge Power Wagon 4x4 on 2040-cars
Auburn, California, United States
This Auction is for a pair of 1950's Dodge Power Wagons. Sold together.
The best of the two is Yellow and Green. A 1952 Civillian Power Wagon. Very straight and solid and mostly complete. Minus bed and rear fenders. The truck has a good motor and has run in the not too far past. The motor has a cool Offenhouser Dual Carb intake with Holleys. It also has a home built dual exhaust manifold and dual exhaust. Looks like it would probably run. Will need rear end work and possible rear end parts from the second truck. Appears to have a locker. Not sure if there is an issue but the axles are loose. That is how I got it. It has no speedo or front Dodge emblem, but both are on the other truck. It does have the Braden Winch. Windshield frame is nice. Better than a parts truck as there is no rust. Interior is complete. Cab corners and door bottom are solid with no blistering. Does not appear to have any filler in it either. Doors are complete. It rolls and steers. The second truck is a parts truck. Orange. It has most of its drivetrain. 1951 Civillian Power Wagon. Has a bent frame from using the wrecker in rear. Engine has a crack in block and is a boat anchor. That said the body/cab is solid and it has lots of good parts. It does not roll as the front wheel is off. I have the parts, hub and drum but not the axle. So this truck will be hard to move. Buyer can come remove what parts you want from it or I can help get it from my trailer to yours. Shipping will be an issue for this truck. Bring a big winch, these trucks are heavy. I have no title for either truck. Both are CA trucks their whole life and have their original license plates and original vin tags. Sold as is for parts. This really should have a buyer that is local enough to come pick them up themselves with a strong truck and trailer. I can store the trucks for 30 days while transportation arrangements are made. |

Weekly Recap: Things you might not know about the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats
Sat, 16 Aug 2014If you're an enthusiast, and you don't know that Dodge spawned another Hellcat this week, you really must have been living in cave. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is probably the biggest news for enthusiasts since the reveal of, well the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
But, there are some things you might not know or might have missed about the new Charger and Challenger Hellcats. For starters, reports that the Hellcat production would be limited to a low volume are not true.
"We have not capped the Hellcat on either the Challenger or the Charger," Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said.
Marchionne says no offers are on the table for Fiat Chrysler
Sun, Sep 3 2017MONZA, Italy (Reuters) - Fiat Chrysler (FCA) has not received any offer for the company nor is the world's seventh-largest carmaker working on any "big deal", Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne said on Saturday. Speaking on the sidelines of the Italian Formula One Grand Prix, Marchionne said the focus remained on executing the company's business plan to 2018. Asked whether FCA had been approached by someone or whether there was an offer on the table, he simply said: "No." The company's share price jumped to record highs last month after reports of interest for the group or some of its brands from China. China's Great Wall Motor Co Ltd openly said it was interested in FCA, but had not held talks or signed a deal with executives at the Italian-American automaker. The stock move was also helped by expectations that the company might separate from some of its units. Marchionne reiterated on Saturday that FCA was working on a plan to "purify" its portfolio and that units, such as the components businesses, would be separated from the group. He hopes to complete that process by the end of 2018. "There are activities within the group that do not belong to a car manufacturer, for example the components businesses. The group needs to be cleared of those things," he told journalists. Asked whether an announcement could come this year, Marchionne said it was up to the board to decide and that it would next meet at the end of September. He said the time was not right for a spin-off of luxury brand Maserati and premium Alfa Romeo and the two brands needed to become self-sustainable entities first and "have the muscle to stand on their feet, make sufficient cash". "The way we see it now, it's almost impossible, if not impossible, to see a spin-off of Alfa Romeo/Maserati, these are two entities that are immature and in a development phase," he said. "It's the wrong moment, we are not in a condition to do it." He said the concept of separating the two brands from FCA's mass market business made sense and did not rule out this happening in future, but not under his tenure, which lasts until April 2019. "If there is an opportunity in future, it would certainly happen after I'm gone. It won't happen while Marchionne is around," he said.
Roadkill pits every project car against each other
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
