1940 Dodge Power Wagon 4x4 Pick up Truck Very Rare 1/2 ton 4x4 truck believed to
be the first year for 4 wheel drive.
They used the civilian body style in 1940. Very desirable truck, always a featured style
truck on the 4x4 club magazines covers.
I have owned this truck since 1980, and it has been in storage since
that time. It is rust free, primered over
the original paint, no wrecks or crashes. Only has a few small dents that came from
storage after being primered. All
original truck except the gauges have been updated and has non original
bumper. Misplaced the head light rings
and the driver side window regulator.
This truck ran when it was parked.
Has a crank out style windshield which is a nice feature. Came from the factory with disk wheels and a
factory “lift” that sits pretty high off the ground for a truck this age. (see
photos) Very little effort would be needed to get it on the road and
running. Just the basics: tires, brakes, belts, fluids, etc. I believe there where few made and even fewer
survived. This would be a great truck to restore as the body is very straight
and there is NO RUST. Please feel free to ask questions I will answer to the

Corvette Z06 and Viper TA square off at the strip
Wed, Jan 21 2015There are many long-standing grudge matches among automobiles: 911 vs GT-R, Mustang vs Camaro, Ferrari vs Lamborghini... but as far as high-end American metal goes, it doesn't get much more legendary than Viper vs 'Vette. So after Chevy released the new Corvette Z06, we knew it was only a matter of time before it would have to square off against the Viper TA. And what better place to pit these two parallel pillars of American performance than on the drag strip? Fortunately that's just what we have here. In one corner, the 2014 Dodge Viper TA, with its 8.4-liter V10 pumping out 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. In the other, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the supercharger on its 6.2-liter V8 more than making up for the discrepancy in displacement and cylinder count to produce 650 hp and just as much torque. But numbers don't tell the whole story, so watch the video clip to see which reaches the end of the quarter-mile first. Chrysler recalling 31k SUVs and vans
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Chrysler is issuing recalls covering roughly 31,700 vehicles worldwide due to two separate problems. In both cases the company believes that most of the affected vehicles are either still on, or in transit to, dealer lots.
One recall covers roughly 10,700 Dodge Durango, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SRT models from the 2014 model year built between January 16 and April 17, 2014. The SUVs need a software update for the cruise control. It's possible that when the cruise is on and the driver presses on the throttle, the acceleration could last a second after the pedal is released or two seconds for the SRT. Afterward, they return to the speed originally set by the driver.
Chrysler says it isn't aware of any accidents, injuries or even reported incidents of this happening in the real world. Also, in all cases, if the driver presses on the brake, the cruise shuts off. The automaker believes that there are about 6,100 affected SUVs in the US, 950 in Canada, 425 in Mexico and 3,200 outside of North America. The software upgrade will be ready shortly, the company says.
