1993 DODGE DIESEL LAST OF THE SQUARE NOSE.This is a real truck, but if you are looking for one you already know that. I am the second owner of this truck and have had it for about 8 years .I would not hesitate to get in and drive cross country in it right now. The original owner was a service manager for a trucking company and kept extensive service records and I have continued.I have a book with every oil change, upgrade, or part replaced or repaired. The transmission was replaced last year and has around 6000 miles on it.The engine runs great and barely makes a turn before it is up and running. Front calipers, pads, and brake master cyl  were replaced last month . All the power windows locks and mirrors work as they should. The door seals are still like new ,it helps to crack a window to shut the doors and not slam them.Has Warn hubs and Borgeson steering added as well as the heavy duty tranny cooler under the bed with it's own fan.NO it does not ,nor has it ever had a gooseneck hitch,it has not been beat to death pulling heavy.Tires are 285 16 and have between 60 and 75 % tread left,Also the engine is stock no modifications.

This is a USA built truck not a Mexican built unit, the difference is  amazing in the fit and finish.
With all this talk about the good I will now go over the not so good. The clear coat on the hood is showing its age a couple of small pieces have blistered but not ugly. There is a fist size dent in the front edge of the driver side fender, and a slight wave over the passenger side rear wheel well hard to see straight on ,but is visible at an angle. The paint has scratches from being on the ranch and scraping against cedars and mesquites, but she comes by her scars honest and could gain you some credibility at the country club! The drivers side of the seat  has a repaired seam where the vinyl and cloth come together .That's about it for the bad stuff, as I said, it is a well kept truck, I never let maintenance or repairs slide on it, but I have used it and she has her scars, but doesn't look uncared for or beat up.
I will miss the old girl ,but my kids have gotten big enough that all but the shortest trips end up feeling like a MMA  cage match ! Please contact me for any further questions about the truck. PLEASE NO TIRE KICKERS!! SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY!!!! I do reserve the right to end the auction early.

Does the future of Fiat-Chrysler include Dodge?

Thu, 13 Jun 2013

Wards Auto reports the future of Dodge is looking uncertain. Fiat has more or less laid out it's game plan for the next few years, and while the Chrysler, Fiat and Jeep lines are set to receive plenty of love, Dodge isn't so lucky. Fiat has already hobbled Dodge significantly by splitting off the brand's trucks into a separate Ram line.
Wards says that after the Avenger rides off into the sunset early next year, Fiat-Chrysler won't replace the model, leaving a gaping midsize hole in the Dodge lineup. The report also cites unnamed sources as saying that at least two other current Dodge products will move to the Chrysler line.
One of those could very well be the Grand Caravan. Chrysler has already made it clear that it plans to trim redundancy between its minivan offerings, but it has yet to clarify which other vehicle could sail under the Chrysler banner moving forward. Either way, such changes to the product line would theoretically leave Dodge with just four models.

Barracuda's Dodge branding no biggie, but what about engines?

Thu, Aug 27 2015

Rumors about a revival of the Barracuda nameplate have been circulating for years now, though which brand it might fall under has been a bit of a mystery. Initial speculation had the car labeled an SRT product, but that acronym has since returned to its former role as a sub-brand for top-performance Mopars. Thanks to leaks from a recent FCA dealership event, we know the Barracuda is back on the table but will be sold under the Dodge umbrella, a move that has been generating a bit of ire from Pentastar fanatics, as the car was originally part of the defunct Plymouth brand. Given what's known about the new model, however, the badge is the least of my concerns about the new car. Let's start with the re-branding itself. This isn't the first time Chrysler has shuffled models around to different brands. The current-generation Viper spent two years as the flagship model under the SRT banner, only to return to Dodge for 2015 when SRT resumed its former role as a sub-brand. Years ago, the Neon was sold as a Plymouth, a Dodge, and a Chrysler model, depending on where you shopped for one. When Plymouth ceased to exist, the last few years of Prowler production got Chrysler badges instead. Then there's the new Jeep Renegade, a model whose name was born out of a trim level. The Barracuda might not turn out to be a muscle car in the way we currently define them. Further examples of naming liberties taken throughout automotive history could fill a book, but suffice it to say that these days a model's name has very little to do with the vehicle itself or any legacy it might have. The Barracuda name might be a particularly sacred cow with enthusiasts, but to me, a much bigger concern is the fact that the car might not turn out to be a muscle car in the way we currently define them. News from the Fiat Chrysler dealer briefing earlier this week indicates that when the next Charger debuts it will share its platform with the Barracuda, much the way the Charger and Challenger are twinned now. One difference is that the Barracuda is tipped to be offered as a convertible, while the modern Challenger is tintop-only. The Charger and Barracuda will use the rear-drive platform developed for Alfa Romeo's new Giulia, itself designed as a BMW M3 fighter both from a dimensional and dynamic standpoint; the Barracuda is expected to be slightly smaller than the current Challenger.

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by News Editor Joel Stocksdale. They start off with one of the week's biggest official news items — the impending death of the sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro. On the subject of powerful American cars, they pivot to a teaser from Stellantis execs that there are big things ahead for its Dodge Charger SRT Daytona Banshee concept. From there, they look at Ferrari's new topless Roma and then get into Ford's multi-billion-dollar electric vehicle pivot. Speaking of expensive EVs, Joel just got back from driving the new GMC Hummer SUV. He also had the new F-150 Lightning Pro in his driveway, and that's followed by Greg's update on Autoblog's long-term Toyota Sienna.  Autoblog Podcast # 773 Get The Podcast Apple Podcasts – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes Spotify – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast on Spotify RSS – Add the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator MP3 – Download the MP3 directly Rundown News Chevrolet Camaro production will officially end after 2024 model year Dodge CEO teases more to come from Charger SRT Daytona Banshee Ferrari Roma Spider returns a front-engined soft top to the lineup Ford Model e losing billions as it says EV unit should be seen as startup What we're driving Ford F-150 Lightning Pro 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV 2023 Toyota Sienna Platinum AWD Feedback Email – Podcast@Autoblog.com Review the show on Apple Podcasts Autoblog is now live on your smart speakers and voice assistants with the audio Autoblog Daily Digest.
