This is a short 5day auction.  Hi I have four 1992 Dodge diesels, unfortunately I could use some more space, so I decided to sell the one pictured here. I brought this truck here to NY from California (Frezno up north). No rust rot ever. No body fill or anything like that. The champagne upper paint has be redone because of sun damage the lower burnt copper color is the original factory paint. Took it from NY to Michigan this past summer and it run perfectly, with 22 MPG on the highway. Transmission was rebuilt about 20k miles ago. Brakes, fluids and all maintenance pretty much up to date. No major dents, some small hail dings on the roof and hood. Only thing the truck needs is the headliner it is sagging. I fixed this on my other trucks, but never got around to doing it to this one. It is very simple to fix yourself for less than $50. Nice stock truck in nice condition. I am very fussy and I like this truck.  BTY the bed is in excellent condition; This truck was not used for work. But as the saying goes, it is what it is as it is where it is. Also please assume the pictures make it look better than it is. Buyer responsible for pickup and or shipping. Thanks You can call me at 631 8712958 if you have questions Alex

Also for what its worth, I have advanced degrees in mechanical engineering, and I am Licensed in New York state. I have performed all work on this truck myself. I have be through it up and down and can tell you it's a solid truck that will bring someone many years of reliable service.

Option for pickup fly into Long Island MacArthur Airport and I can pick you up so you can drive the truck home.

Chrysler extends fuel tank warranties on LX cars, NHTSA ends probe

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has ended its investigation of 153,817, 5.7-liter and 6.1-liter Hemi V8-powered 2006 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum models after reports of stalling. Chrysler has responded by granting a lifetime warranty on the fuel tanks for these vehicles.
NHTSA received 299 reports of engines stalling while the models were stopped or driving at low speeds, and began an investigation. The government agency found that the control valve shutoff float in the V8s' 19-gallon fuel tank could malfunction if the fuel had too high of an ethanol content. In many cases, the valve would break in the open position, allowing the tank to be overfilled, which would then cause the cars to stall. However, there were no accidents reported, and the vehicles could be restarted immediately.
There will not be a recall on these vehicles because, "the condition represents a low risk to motor vehicle safety and is adequately addressed by Chrysler's extended warranty," NHTSA said to The Detroit News.

How to turn a Dodge airport tug into a trail slayer

Sun, 16 Nov 2014

Sometimes, having a ton of fun requires takes a ton of work. Just nine days before the so-called Ultimate Adventure 2014, the folks behind 4-Wheel & Off-Road had 40 tasks to complete in order to turn the ratty truck pictured above into a machine that could excel on treacherous off-road trails while still being able to handle highway jaunts. Much of process behind the build was chronicled on the latest episode of Dirt Every Day.
The team's vehicle started life as a 1990 Dodge tug truck that spent part of its life hauling around airplanes. The builders hung on to the Cummins six-cylinder diesel, but they tossed out practically everything else for the project, with some seriously heavy-duty replacement parts for the transmission, transfer case, axles and a whole lot more. The process was certainly a ton of work, but the end result looks like a fantastic crawler.
Sure, it might have been easier to bring a truck that was already prepared, but where would the fun in that have been? Stay tuned until the end of the video for a few glimpses of the completed Dodge and peek at some of the punishment it goes through.

Dodge performance trio thrashed on Roadkill

Tue, Apr 14 2015

Of all the shows that Motor Trend does, Roadkill is probably the last one we'd pick to evaluate the latest performance automobiles. That's not a slight against David Freiburger or Mike Finnegan, who host the show: they're certified gear-heads and the go-to guys when it comes to hot rods, rat rods and anything grungier than it is shiny. But as exemplary as they are of Detroit muscle, the Charger Hellcat, Challenger Hellcat and Viper are also shiny new pieces of metal. Still, since it will now be sponsoring the show, someone at Dodge apparently thought it would be a good idea to hand Freiburger and Finnegan the keys to the company's top performance models. So to ring the best out of them, they solicited help from some of their colleagues at MT, gained access to a closed-down air strip, devised as many ways as they could to destroy the tires, and proceeded to set about doing exactly that. Watch the grin-inducing mayhem unfold in the half-hour clip above. Related Video:
