Selling my 1988 Dodge Ram 50. The body is in fairly good shape, with the exceptions of a couple small dings which may or may not be seen in the pictures. There is no rot on the frame and body. no cancer on the truck. The paint is in poor condition. one side of the truck looks like all of the clear coat peeled off. The only major rust that I can see is the backbumper. The truck runs and drives. But has rough idle. It has an exhaust leak that I think is around the mainfold. the engine has a tap to it. So I don't know the condition of the engine, It dosent smoke at all. leaks a little power steering fluid. The AC blows out cold and the heat works. It has a kenwood cd player in it. the interior is rough. But overall not a bad truck to restore. Also good for a parts truck. Truck is bieng sold as is. And shiping is the buyers responsibility.

Chrysler recalling 2009-2010 Ram 1500, Dodge Dakota pickups over axle pinion nut
Mon, 08 Oct 2012Chrysler is issuing a recall for the 2009 and 2010 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota pickup trucks due to improper installation of the rear axle pinion nut. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of 44,300 trucks are affected by the recall, and there have been 12 confirmed incidents including one crash.
The issue on both trucks is that the pinion nut is loosening on some trucks due to a lack of thread adhesive, and it is causing the rear axle to lock up resulting in loss of vehicle control. NHTSA's recall notice says that eight incidents occurred at speeds over 35 miles per hour and most also exhibited driveshaft failures as well since the loss of the pinion nut would cause the gear to separate from the driveshaft. In one complaint, the driveshaft separated from the rear axle and punctured the gas tank.

Why the Charger Hellcat can't be ordered with a manual transmission
Sun, 16 Nov 2014Fans of truly irreverent amounts of horsepower will find lots to love in the form of the 2015 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat models. Both of them send 707 ridiculous horsepower to the rear wheels; the only question is whether you want your absurdity delivered with two or four doors. Oh, and whether or not you want the option of a manual transmission.
If you prefer rowing your own gears, the choice is made for you; there is no manual gearbox option available on the Charger Hellcat, or any Charger model at all, for that matter. Wonder why? Well, besides the fact that almost nobody - sorry, clutch fans, but it's true - would choose to buy a Charger with a manual transmission, that is? The answer, according to an industry insider in a post written on Jalopnik's Opposite Lock forum, is the floorpan.
It's probably not a surprise to most of our readers that the Dodge Challenger and Charger share a large portion of their chassis structure, which is codenamed LX at Chrysler, but there are still some significant differences under the skin due to the shorter wheelbase and two-door coupe bodyshell of the Challenger, as opposed to the sedan shape of the Charger. One of the differences is the floorpan, the huge chunk of sheetmetal that makes up the floor of the car and props up such essential items as the car's seats.

We were definitely rock stars at the 20th edition of the Dream Cruise.
The yell came from somewhere in the crowd: "Hey Hellcat, push it!" We obliged with a jab of the throttle, and the 707 horses of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat roared to life. It went on like this. All weekend. It's one thing to attend the Woodward Dream Cruise, it's quite another to star in it.
