For auction My 79' LIL RED EXPRESS. This is the real deal not a clone. Really cool truck, I get the thumbs up everywhere I go. I cant go out and get a cup of coffee without someone trying to start a conversation about it. These trucks sell for 15k+ restored. The engine is a 1969 340HP that came from a 70' Dart I still have. Engine is blueprinted and when the tires hook up it puts you hard in the seat. (I have video of the truck running) I had a 3:91 Suregrip rear built for the truck which blends perfectly with the 4-speed overdrive from a 78 Roadrunner and had a custom driveshaft made for the assembly. I took the pedals and linkage from a standard shift Dodge Ram of simular year. The shifter is from a bench seat 70 RR and fits the truck perfect. The truck is currently on the road and I use on days off to run errands. I purchased this truck a few years ago with no motor and transmission for $5500 and have probably another 5k in it on top of that. I need to sell because I'm closing on property and need the cash for development. I will consider trades but they would have to be lopsided on my half. The truck does have a aged paint job wich I love because I can use it for everything, No worrying about mudpuddle or muddy boots. Bed wood was replaced with aluminum diamond plate but bones super solid if you wanted to put wood back in. Fenders and doors have body filler and would need to be replaced if you wanted to restore the truck. Cab floors were replaced at some point in its life. The truck is a driver but needs odds and ends, some weatherstripping needs replacing, windshield is foggy around the edge, some of dash gauges dont work, blinkers blink fast etc.. I'm listing the truck with no reserve. I have the truck for sale locally for $5500
I'm looking for a quick sale so money talks. If truck is shipped all funds must clear before truck gets released. Winning bidder is responsible for shipping or local pick-up. Truck must be paid in full within 7 days of auction ending, No exceptions!

Dodge Dart getting hatchback variant... sort of
Thu, 25 Apr 2013In other parts of the world, Fiat builds and sells a version of the Dodge Dart called the Viaggio, and it appears that in addition to the current sedan bodystyle, a new hatchback version of the car is also in the works. Autocar says that the general manager for China's Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, John Burton, has confirmed that a new Viaggio hatchback will be revealed by the end of this year before it goes on sale in early 2014.
The Viaggio will soon be joined by the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which in China will be called the Liberty Light, at the Guangzhou-Fiat plant. While the idea of a Dodge Dart hatchback might be enough to enable most of us to forget about the Dodge Caliber, a North American variant doesn't appear to be in the cards. We reached out to Chrysler PR boss Rick Deneau, and he offered a succinct: "No plans at this time."
Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.
Killing the Dart and 200 might lower FCA's fuel economy burden
Tue, Feb 9 2016Killing the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200 could allow FCA US to take advantage of an intriguing quirk in the next decade's fuel economy regulations. By increasing its ratio of trucks versus cars, the automaker might not need to worry so much about hitting the more stringent efficiency rules. At first thought, it might seem harder for an automaker with a ton of trucks to meet the government's mandated 54.5 mile per gallon corporate average fuel economy for 2025. However, every company doesn't need to hit that lofty figure, according to The Detroit Free Press. The exact target varies by the product mix between trucks and cars. "While passenger car and light truck categories have separate CAFE targets, it's still true that more trucks versus cars in a company lineup means a lower combined CAFE target," Brandon Schoettle, Project Manager Sustainable Worldwide Transportation at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute, told Autoblog. "While passenger car and light truck categories have separate CAFE targets, it's still true that more trucks versus cars in a company lineup means a lower combined CAFE target." FCA US' current product blend has 80 percent pickups and CUVs, which means the company stands to benefit from a lower fuel economy target. It might not seem entirely fair environmentally, but this is a great move from a business perspective. The new CAFE rules aren't set in stone, according to The Detroit Free Press, but potentially taking advantage of the regulation is just one more reason to cut the Dart and 200. Modern crossovers also aren't gas guzzlers like older SUVs, which could make it easier to hit the fuel economy target. "Utilities offer practicality and versatility that cars do not, and now, built on car architectures, they do not penalize consumers on fuel economy as they once did," AutoTrader Senior Analyst Michelle Krebs told Autoblog. Schoettle warns that FCA is still making a gamble by killing the small sedans. "Depending on the previous sales volumes and how much these vehicles might have exceeded their specific CAFE targets, it's possible that these cars helped earn CAFE credits for FCA that they could bank for future use," he said. "Future sales breakdowns [car vs.
