Ok, what I am offering here is a west coast always(Ca. & Az.) truck, I belive it to have ONLY 76k ORIGINAL miles!! Strong running 318 v8 & automatic trans, also 4x4. This truck has working and converted A/C, 134-A, & a aftermarket cassette stereo & speakers, nice sounding custom dual exhaust. I just had the top & bottom WHITE paint re sprayed & looks great, the factory yellow is original & looks good too. A spray in bed liner was just done as well, I also had the front split bench seat reupholstered & rebuilt, very original & comfortable. New fuel pump & master cylinder, new belts too. Tires are all matching and have approx. 80% tread remaining. I would not hesitate to hop in this 4x4 & drive it across country right now!! Keep in mind this is a 40 year old truck & although it is a GREAT truck it isn't new & is being described & shown as best as possible, That being said it is an AS-IS SALE, bid with confidence, because at the end of the 5 day auction this NO RESERVE vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder. How fracking is causing Chrysler minivans to sit on Detroit's riverfront
Fri, 25 Apr 2014It's fascinating the way that one change to a complex system can have all sorts of unintended consequences. For instance, there are hundreds of new Chrysler Town and County and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans built in Windsor, Ontario, sitting in lots on the Detroit waterfront because of the energy boom in the Bakken oil field in the northern US and parts of Canada.
The huge amount of crude oil coming from these sites mostly use freight trains for transport, and that supply boom has resulted in a shortage of railcars to carry other goods. According to The Windsor Star, North American crude oil transport by train has gone from 9,500 carloads in 2008 to 434,032 carloads in 2013. Making matters worse, some North American rail infrastructure is still damaged because of this year's harsh winter, and that's slowing things down even further.
Chrysler admits to The Star that it has had some delivery delays due to the freight train shortage. In the meantime, it's using more trucks to deliver its vehicles. Trucking is a far less economical solution, partially because a train can carry so many more units at one time, but alternatives are slim. The Windsor plant alone has a deal for 33 trucks to distribute the minivans around Canada and the Midwestern US.

25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango SUVs recalled over brake feel
Mon, 10 Mar 2014Chrysler has announced that it is recalling over 25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from several markets over concerns about brake feel under hard braking. The affected models are from the 2012 and 2013 model years, although the actual dates of production aren't available. 18,700 are in the US, while 825 are in Canada, 530 are in Mexico and a further 5,200 outside of North America.
According to a statement, Chrysler was informed of the issue by a component supplier for the Ready Alert Braking system, which primes the brakes in anticipation of an emergency stop. A component in the system was restricting the flow of brake fluid too much.
As Chrysler is quick to point out, the way the brakes functioned was in compliance with regulations and there are no reported cases of drivers losing braking power. Instead, the issue rests with what Chrysler calls a pedal feel that "was not consistent with customer expectations." So it would seem Chrysler is being proactive and fixing a problem not because there's a legal issue at work, but simply because it doesn't feel the way the manufacturer wants it to. Well done.
