1971 DODGE D-200 SWEPTLINE

THIS TRUCK IS THE BAD OF THE BAD.

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT, HOW MANY CHEVY AND FORDS DO YOU SEE COMPARED TO A DODGE....

THIS BABY IS A REAL HEAD TURNER. IT STARTED LIFE AS A BARN FIND OUT OF GEORGIA.  AS A ONE-TON TRUCK.  I THEN PURCHASED A 1991 DODGE TRUCK AND SWAPPED THE MOTOR, THE REAR END OVER TO THE 71.  THE FRONT IS OUT OF A CROWN VIC, SO IT HAS DISC FRONT AND DRUM REAR.  IT HAS A C-NOTCHED REAR.  THE TRUCK SITS LOW, HOWEVER IS VERY DRIVABLE.  I KEPT THE ORIGINAL 4-SPEED GRANNY LOW TRANNY IN IT.  IT HAS A BRAND NEW CLUTH AND A PRESSURE PLATE IN IT.   ALL THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH NEW PARTS.  THE EMERGENCY BRAKES WORK.  THE INTERIOR OF THE TRUCK HAS BEEN REDONE.  SEAT RECOVERED WITH BLACK VINYL AND THE HEADLINER HAS BEEN REDONE TOO.  THERE IS A CUSTOM SHIFTER, HOWEVER IF YOU DONT LIKE IT, YOU CAN UNSCREW AND PUT IT BACK TO REGULAR.   THERE IS A CUSTOM WOOD FLOOR IN THE BED OF THE TRUCK.  WHICH HAS BEEN SEALED.   ALL THE LIGHTS WORK.  ALL THE TURN SIGNALS WORK.   THERE ARE NO WIRING PROBLEMS AT ALL.  EVEN THE CIGERETT LIGHTER WORKS.   THE ONLY THING THIS TRUCK IS MISSING IS THE FUEL GAGE AND SPEEDODOMETER CABLE.

THIS TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES STRAIGHT.  IT IS DEFINATELY A HEAD TURNER. IT IS FAST AND LOUD!

IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK.

470,000 Jeep Liberty, Chrysler 200, and Dodge Avenger models recalled for restraint defect

Sat, Oct 14 2017

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said on Friday it is recalling 470,000 vehicles worldwide to replace a component that may inhibit deployment of the vehicles' active head restraints in the event of a crash. Around 414,000 of those vehicles were sold in the United States. Apparently, "a component common to the modules of certain vehicles may degrade after extensive vehicle use." The recall covers 2012 Jeep Liberty sport utility vehicles and 2012-13 Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger midsize cars. FCA says a warning light may alert owners to the problem. The Italian-American automaker said it is unaware of any injuries or accidents related to the recall. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened an investigation into the issue in June. (Reporting by David Shepardson; Editing by Steve Orlofsky) Related Video:

Lackluster Dodge Dart sales trigger layoffs

Thu, 06 Mar 2014

Hidden amidst the overall very positive sales figures that Chrysler released earlier this week were a few disappointments, the biggest of which may be the Dodge Dart. While Dodge sales in general were down 11 percent from a year ago, the Dart's poor figures stood out from the rest - with 4,888 units sold, the Dart was down 37 percent in February.
It comes as little surprise, then, that the automaker has announced layoffs at its assembly plant in Belvidere, IL. According to The Daily Herald, Dodge will temporarily lay off 325 workers "to balance vehicle supply with current sales demand." Put more simply, there are more Darts than buyers at the moment...
We don't think the Dodge Dart is a bad car, but it's playing in a market that offers a few standout sellers, like the Chevy Cruze, Ford Focus, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. According to AutoPacific analyst Dave Sullivan, as quoted by The Daily Herald, "great incentives on the Dodge Avenger" are also partly to blame for the Dart's poor showing.

Amazon opens contest for The Grand Tour tickets in the US

Thu, Jul 7 2016

British enthusiasts already had the opportunity to win tickets to the first taping of The Grand Tour, and now Amazon has opened up a similar chance for customers in the US. In celebration of Prime Day, which starts today, customers in the US can enter The Grand Tour Prime Day Prize Draw. The prize includes travel, $200 to spend, accommodation, and a meet and greet with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. Customers that are interested fulfilling a childhood dream should visit Amazon's website and fill out the entry form soon as the draw closes on July 12. The Grand Tour will launch this fall as an exclusive for Amazon Prime members with the exact city locations for studio records set to be revealed later this summer. Amazon, however, did reveal that the trio will host shows in the UK, US, and Germany. So there's no need to get too upset if you don't win the draw. With Top Gear getting a major shakeup with the departure of Chris Evans, we're itching to see Clarkson, Hammond, and May behind the wheel of cars again. The trio, it seems, is also excited to get the new show rolling as Clarkson posted a drifty video on his Facebook page. The trio are currently in Italy filming a comparison between an Aston Martin DB11, a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and Rolls-Royce Dawn. The five-second clip has the Challenger Hellcat and DB11 drifting head-on into the camera crew, which is behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo.
