1968 Dodge D100 "sweptline" Truck Long Bed on 2040-cars
Arlington, Virginia, United States
Here's your chance to pick up this pretty sweet Old School, classic
truck: 1968 Dodge D100 with 318 V8 and auto trans. I ran out of time and
money to keep putting into the Truck. (just got laid off work) The body
is about 90% straight with the exception of the tailgate area which
needs to be straightened out somewhat. We put on a new Power Brake
booster for better stopping power. We did a complete tune up including:
Spark plugs, wires, cap/rotor, air filter, fuel filter, NEW Carter Carb,
Also changed the valve cover gaskets, and the exhaust manifold gaskets.
Now, the motor runs nice and strong with no hesitation, and starts up
quick/easy. Note: Its riding on some older bias-ply tires which need to
be upgraded to radial for a better driving experience. The odometer
shows less than 45,000 miles so far and the body has been clear coated
to maintain the patina while protecting from further wear. It will need:
tires, body work, some of the DODGE letters are coming loose, horn
&radio not working, bench seat has cover over original material
which is beat-up.
With some more TLC, this thing may be a prized, Gas Monkey style street rider. I have the title in Arlington, and the truck is being stored in Great Falls, Va with my mechanic who is toughing up some more things under the hood. This is your chance to make your Mopar dream come true this holiday. Not many of these Dodge trucks are around in this area, especially w/ power brakes!!Please contact me for a viewing.. FCA CEO Mike Manley will take undefined new role after PSA merger
Wed, Dec 18 2019MILAN — Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Mike Manley will remain with the new group set to result from a planned merger with French rival PSA-Peugeot, Chairman John Elkann said on Wednesday. In a letter to Fiat Chrysler (FCA) employees on the day the two companies announced a binding agreement for a $50 billion tie-up to create the world's fourth-largest carmaker, Elkann said he was "delighted" that the combined group would be led by current PSA CEO Carlos Tavares. "And Mike Manley, who has led FCA with huge energy, commitment and success over the past year, will be there alongside him," he said. He did not say what position Manley would hold. Elkann — who will chair the new group — said there was still much to be done to complete the merger. "Over the coming months we must work tirelessly and determinedly to fulfill all the approval requirements needed to finalize the commitment we have signed," he said. Motorweek goes retro with '80s hot hatch shootout
Mon, 03 Nov 2014Motorweek's decades of history on television make it the perfect medium to look back into the automotive past and see how things are different now. It recently added old road test videos to its YouTube channel of the Acura NSX and Toyota Supra, as well as the Ferrari F40. For one of its newest flashback clips, Motorweek has exhumed an affordable five-car challenge of 1986's premiere hot hatches.
By today's standards, this is an eclectic field that features fondly remembered classics like the Volkswagen GTI 16-valve and Acura Integra. However, it also throws in some nearly forgotten contenders like the Dodge Colt Turbo and Ford Escort GT. The angular Toyota Corolla FX16 GT-S rounds out the group.
It's fascinating to watch Motorweek run the quintet through the slalom, down the drag strip and on various roads. What's most striking in this clip is the difference in the definition of a performance car between then and now. With its 16-valve, 1.8-liter four-cylinder, the GTI is the burliest of the contenders with 123 horsepower, but it still takes 8.8 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour. By today's standards, that would make it a plain-jane economy car, and not even a particularly quick one.
Dodge offers 100 years of solid advice in new ad
Fri, 18 Apr 2014This is a cool ad. Dodge, which is celebrating its centennial this year, recruited some of its peers to see what you should and shouldn't do in life. Of course, some are obvious - don't complain, learn from your mistakes and live for now.
Then again, some are less obvious. Some, actually, are downright awesome. Towards the end, each piece of advice is interspersed with clips of Dodge's redesigned Challenger smoking its tires. Really, this ad feels like it'd be worthy of a Super Bowl spot. This commercial's personal nature is really in keeping with some of the big game's most interesting ads, like the Imported From Detroit commercial, the Farmer ad and Maserati's surprise clip from this year's game.
