1964 Dodge D100 Shorbed Sweptline Pickup Truck.

This truck is a decent project for a hot rodder just like a popular TV show rebuilt and customized.  Or, one could restore it to like brand new as there aren't very many on the road or available these days compared to GM or Fords.  This is a pretty solid OK/TX truck, but still has rust in the floor foot pans and lower doors.  Bed floor has pin holes and a few rust spots on the side, but overall all the metal is easy to repair.

The truck runs, drives and brakes, but is not road worthy at all.  I've installed a new brake and clutch reservoir, rebled the brake and clutch system and all seems to work OK for barn yard driving.  I also have new rear wheel cylinders and front rebuild kit.  The original gas tank was rusty from old gas and I replaced it with an excellent used one from a 68 model.  The filler neck is slightly different, hence the lack of one in pics, but I have that corrected now.

Has aftermarket oil, temp, etc, gages.  Speedo/odometer works fine. Milage shows in the mid 64,000, but I'm sure is probably not accurate.

Engine is a 69-70, 225 slant-6.  It has a remanufactured carb, split manifold, dual exhaust and appears to fire right up and idle and drive fine around the yard. Radiator works OK, is clean, and appears to be working and holding coolant fine also.

Again, this a ratrod, hotrod, or restoration project.  Truck has a clear Missouri title.  All taxes, titling, and transporting costs and solely the responsibility of the buyer.  I reserve the right to end this auction at any time as it is for sale locally as well.

Front steel wheel and battery are not included in sale, match front chrome wheel will be on truck at time of pickup.

$500 nonrefundable paypal deposit is due within 48 hours of sale, final payment due within 7 days.  Pickup/transport will be negotiated, but will be within 30 days of end of auction.

Email for questions or comments, thanks.  Chris

Also have correct steering wheel, factory service manual, sales brochure, and extra left door core that all goes with it.  Truck was an original army truck and shows all kinds of original green shiny paint underneath.  Don't let the old white paint job fool you,

2014 Dodge Durango bows with eight-speed auto, updated looks [w/video]

Thu, 28 Mar 2013

Dodge has significantly updated its full-size Durango for the 2014 model year, giving the seven-passenger hauler a fresh look and a well-rounded boost of competitive features as it enters its fourth year in the showroom.
Cosmetically, it is hard to miss the revised front end with projector-beam headlamps and LED daytime running lamps, "floating" crosshair grille, a taller front bumper and a new lower fascia. The rear end of the facelifted Durango has been redesigned with the automaker's now-signature LED "racetrack" taillamps and resculpted rear fascia. All of the wheels are new too, with 18- and 20-inch options for each trim level with a variety of factory finishes.
Inside the cabin, buyers can select the automaker's latest Uconnect infotainment system with a full suite of infotainment features and connectivity accessed through an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Other optional goodies include a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seating and a Blu-Ray player capable of running unique programs on the twin individual rear monitors.

Dodge Grand Caravan to live in fleets through 2017

Mon, Jun 22 2015

After a hard-working career of hauling around families for decades, the Dodge Grand Caravan name was set to retire in 2016 under FCA's five-year plan for the US. The decision would have put all of the automaker's focus behind the next-generation Chrysler Town & Country, but that original strategy might have changed. Now, Dodge's minivan may have to work just a few more years before it can finally shuffle off. There are set to be 2016 and 2017 model year examples of the current Grand Caravan, according to an internal FCA production document obtained by Automotive News. This report suggests no changes in the minivan between those two years, and there's no mention of the company's intentions deeper into the future. "While we've announced the Grand Caravan will eventually be the minivan that goes away, we're not going into more detail at this time," a Dodge spokesperson said to AN. For the next Town & Country, production would start in Windsor, Ontario, in late February 2016. This document also suggests a brief run of 2016 Chrysler minivans based on the current model from August 2015 until February 2016. Automotive News speculates that the reprieve for the Grand Caravan could allow that model to focus on fleets and the Canadian market while the new Town and Country gets up and running. The latest generation T&C will reportedly debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show and will possibly carry a higher price to befit a vehicle with a more modern platform and improved tech.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
