1934 Dodge Pickup Truck Project on 2040-cars
Pinckard, Alabama, United States
This is a roller 1934 Dodge Pickup Project.
I removed the 1934 K-47 Cab from a running ton and a half wood mill yard truck with 35k miles, in Salt Lake City several years ago. I purchased the solid 1933 Dodge DP frame from Tony Briggs in Edgemont, South Dakota. The bed, from Frank Andrade of Castro Valley, California is about a 1934 or 1935 International, and is just sitting on the frame. If you would like an old 318 and transmission I have in the garage ( from Willie 'The Retractible Guy' Harrison's barn in Cedarville, Arkansas ) I will throw that in with it, but it is not set in the frame. I have spent a lot of road time visiting with my rodder friends and gathering parts for my rod projects. Rather than continuing to store this project and never getting it done, I offer it to a motivated Hotrodder. I will store everything without fee until you or your shipper can fetch. Enjoy ! |

2014 Dodge Durango bows with eight-speed auto, updated looks [w/video]
Thu, 28 Mar 2013Dodge has significantly updated its full-size Durango for the 2014 model year, giving the seven-passenger hauler a fresh look and a well-rounded boost of competitive features as it enters its fourth year in the showroom.
Cosmetically, it is hard to miss the revised front end with projector-beam headlamps and LED daytime running lamps, "floating" crosshair grille, a taller front bumper and a new lower fascia. The rear end of the facelifted Durango has been redesigned with the automaker's now-signature LED "racetrack" taillamps and resculpted rear fascia. All of the wheels are new too, with 18- and 20-inch options for each trim level with a variety of factory finishes.
Inside the cabin, buyers can select the automaker's latest Uconnect infotainment system with a full suite of infotainment features and connectivity accessed through an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Other optional goodies include a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seating and a Blu-Ray player capable of running unique programs on the twin individual rear monitors.
2003-04 Dodge Viper recalled for sudden airbag deployment
Fri, 15 Feb 2013As if driving the old Dodge Viper (not the fancy new SRT model) isn't intimidating enough, imagine trying to wrangle that V10 beast and then suddenly having the airbags deploy. Yikes. That's apparently what could happen to some 3,660 Viper models from the 2003 and 2004 model years, and as such, Chrysler has issued a recall.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, part of the car's airbag control module may fail, causing the bags or seatbelt pre-tensioners to deploy without warning while the vehicle is in operation. That's a dangerous scenario in any car, let alone one offering insane horsepower a near-total paucity of safety nannies should things get squirrely.
Owners will be notified this month about the recall, though a remedy is not expected to be available until later this year. Scroll down for the full NHTSA statement.
