Hi, This mopar stage 2 SRT4 has 149k but the motor runs perfectly i always changed the oil every 5k with mobil 1 5w30 and the turbo has no shaft play and burns no oil whatsoever, the original transmission had the very common third gear grind/ pop out issue soo i replaced it with a rebuilt unit. During the tranny install i put a brand new OEM clutch, TOB and mopar shift fork i also installed a billet shift selector (the stock one breaks alot) and a third gear shift extender which helps prevent the third gear issue for happening again. The stock rubber shifter bushings were replaced with red poly booger bushing and the plastic clutch rod pivot arm was replaced with a billet one (helps with maintaining proper clutch engagement). The passenger side axle need replacement.

Suspension wise it has Megan racing 32 way height adjustable coil overs with front camber plates, these give it a very tight and sporty feel its currently lowered  2" in the front and 2.5" in the back and can be raised or lowered to your liking. The front LCA bushings where replaced with poly bushings and there is a 25mm mopar swaybar up front and a 22mm progress rear sway bar.

Motor wise it has never been big turboed or taking apart in anyway all the factory heat shields which are very hard to remove are still in place, the stock turbo has a mopar BOV blue plate which gives the car a distinctive turbo Whoooosh !!! plugs coil pack and wires were replaced a year ago i replaced the knock sensor and cam position sensor including the magnet at the same time, the minor modifications are

Mopar Cai with a K&N filter
driver side valve cover breather
Bwoody solid upper and lower engine mounts
AGP solid tranny mount
3" downpipe with manual cutout going into a 3" moroso spiral muffler and a 4" single magnaflow exhaust tip ( does rattle on the frame of the car a little) very quiet and legal when closed
Mopar stage 2 computer
Mopar stage 2 wastegate
mopar stage 2 injectors
BIG !! optima red top battery

Interior wise its very clean the driver seat bolsters have minor wear for the milage, all of the upper pillars were sprayed black and the headliner is color matched flame red, the horrible inaccurate analog boost gauge was replaced with a digital aem unit the sunroof glass was replaced most are known to leak due to poor design. The stock radio was modified to accept a 3.5mm headphone jack to play any portable music player the factory kicker system sounds great but the stock sub is blown doesn't effect the sound because i just unplugged it. The plain black floor mates were replaced with " SRT-4" embroidered set. there is a greedy turbo timer and a Maddog 82% short throw shifter and a billet technology shift ball with a SRT-4 logo.

Body wise theres about a foot long dent on the driver side quarter panel and a small rust spot, the driver's door is split on the bottom and some rust spots doesn't leak in HEAVY rain and closes fine i also have the molding its just need to be stuck back on. The hood is dented from a parking lot collision i have a new one but the corners were messed up during shipping to my house so it needs sum paint so it doesn't rust. the front bumper has a crack from the same incident and both front fenders have a small amount of rust.also the front crosshair is broken on the bottom. the rest of the paint is in good shape.

I have receipts for all the maintenance i have performed and if you would like to come take a look at the car or have any questions please call/text at 5162335848

Are supercars becoming less special?

Thu, Sep 3 2015

There's little doubt that we are currently enjoying the golden age of automotive performance. Dozens of different models on sale today make over 500 horsepower, and seven boast output in excess of 700 hp. Not long ago, that kind of capability was exclusive to supercars – vehicles whose rarity, performance focus, and requisite expense made them aspirational objects of desire to us mortals. But more than that, supercars have historically offered a unique driving experience, one which was bespoke to a particular model and could not be replicated elsewhere. But in recent years, even the low-volume players have been forced to find the efficiencies and economies of scale that formerly hadn't been a concern for them, and in turn the concept of the supercar as a unique entity unto itself is fading fast. The blame doesn't fall on one particular manufacturer nor a specific production technique. Instead, it's a confluence of different factors that are chipping away at the distinction of these vehicles. It's not all bad news – Lamborghini's platform sharing with Audi for the Gallardo and the R8 yielded a raging bull that was more reliable and easier to live with on a day-to-day basis, and as a result it went on to become the best-selling Lambo in the company's history. But it also came at the cost of some of the Italian's exclusivity when eerily familiar sights and sounds suddenly became available wearing an Audi badge. Even low-volume players have been forced to find economies of scale. Much of this comes out of necessity, of course. Aston Martin's recent deal with Mercedes-AMG points toward German hardware going under the hood and into the cabin of the upcoming DB11, and it's safe to assume that this was not a decision made lightly by the Brits, as the brand has built a reputation for the bespoke craftsmanship of its vehicles. There's little doubt that the DB11 will be a fine automobile, but the move does jeopardize some of the characteristic "specialness" that Astons are known for. Yet the world is certainly better off with new Aston Martins spliced with DNA from Mercedes-AMG rather than no new Astons at all, and the costs of developing cutting-edge drivetrains and user interfaces is a burden that's becoming increasingly difficult for smaller manufacturers to bear. Even Ferrari is poised to make some dramatic changes in the way it designs cars.

Chrysler celebrates 30 years of minivans with special editions

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

It's been known by many names: the Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager, Chrysler Voyager, Lancia Voyager, Volkswagen Routan, Ram Cargo Van... but the bottom line is that Chrysler's minivans have defined the segment for 30 years now. In fact, Chrysler says it has sold 13 million of them since 1983, helped along by the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan that accounted for nearly half of all minivans sold in the United States just last year. So to celebrate this three-decade milestone, the Auburn Hills auto has announced a pair of new special editions.
The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country 30th Anniversary Edition starts the Touring-L trim and includes such special touches as 17-inch wheels, unique badging, available Granite Crystal Pearl paint and an interior decked out in black Alcantara and Nappa leather, piano black trim and all the optional bells and whistles bundled in.
The 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan 30th Anniversary Edition, meanwhile, starts off with either the SE or SXT trims and also upgrades with 17-inch alloys as well as color-keyed mirrors and an interior with silver stitching, piano black trim, power everything, and of course, those special badges.

Common Dodge Ram 1500 vs. Chevrolet Silverado breakdowns

Wed, May 4 2016

These two trucks are famous for their ability to get the job done. Still, even the toughest vehicle can have mechanical problems at some time. What if we match the Dodge Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado head to head? Let's find out more about common repairs for each model. Also, learn some tricks to pay for car repairs. Clunky Steering Both Dodge and the Chevy owners sometimes notice bumping and clunking when steering. This might be more noticeable when driving over bumps. The cause is usually different in each truck though. In the Dodge Ram, clunky steering is more likely due to a defective lower ball joint. Replacement costs around $300 - $400, parts and labor. Clunky Chevy Silverado steering is probably a steering rack failure. This problem appears more often in trucks with over 90,000 miles. Silverado steering rack repair will run you up to $1,000 or more. Starting Woes For the Chevy Silverado with over 130,000 miles, you might notice trouble starting. This problem may appear occasionally at first, but it typically gets worse. Excluding a weak battery, the culprit is usually the starter. Replacement will cost you around $330 - $500. Of the total cost, $90 is for labor only. Now the Dodge Ram might make a ticking sound when starting, especially on models with over 94,500 miles. The noise often disappears after the engine warms up. These symptoms may indicate a broken exhaust manifold. Repair costs range from $800 - $900. Burning Oil & Gas Gauge On The Blink Sometimes, the Dodge Ram burns oil much faster than normal. In models with over 125,000 miles, this often points towards a leaky intake manifold gasket. A knocking sound may also appear with acceleration along with possible engine misfire. The cost to repair is around $200 - $300. The Chevy Silverado has its own surprises, especially when you've filled the gas tank but the gauge still reads low. Or the needle fluctuates widely from low to full while driving. In trucks with over 120,000 miles, it's likely due to a faulty fuel sensor. You might need a full fuel pump replacement, which can cost you up to $820, parts and labor. Water Inside And Poor Heat The Ram 1500 rear window has been known to leak. You might notice the back seat and floor wet after a rainstorm. This is more common in trucks with over 65,000 miles. Resealing the Ram 1500 rear window costs around $150 - $250.
