Dodge Challenger Hellcat drift video is pure horsepower porn
Fri, Mar 27 2015We could listen to the whining, snarling 6.2-liter Hemi V8 in the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats all day long. The noise just sounds like power that's being barely restrained and is everything about a muscle car that's right. The team at Pennzoil apparently understands that allure, too. The oil company has a new video where it lets the engine roar for over a minute, while a Challenger does some big, smoky drifts through an abandoned city. The whole stunt is edited together in a slickly produced way that looks fantastic. Although, the big finale might go a little too far and starts straining believability. Nonetheless, the Hellcat's wonderful noise is still the star of this show. Related Video:
McLaren 650S Spider wrecked in multi-vehicle crash in LA
Wed, Nov 2 2016A multi-vehicle crash in Los Angeles left a $280,000- McLaren 650S Spider mangled and two hospitalized, reports KTLA5. The Los Angeles Police Department suspects street racing caused the incident. The crash occurred just outside of Hale Charter Academy in Woodlawn Hills on Tuesday night. According to eyewitness statements, the 650S Spider was traveling at a high rate of speed in a race against a black Dodge Charger or Challenger before colliding with an Audi (possibly an A6), leaving the Audi heavily damaged. The Dodge fled the scene before police arrived. Chrysler's Jefferson North plant builds 5-millionth SUV [w/video]
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant opened in 1992 for production of the first Jeep Grand Cherokee, but in the subsequent years, the Detroit plant has gone on to produce some of the company's biggest SUVs including the Jeep Commander and Dodge Durango. Earlier this week, the plant produced its five-millionth SUV, which, fittingly, was a Grand Cherokee.
Celebrating the plant's five-millionth unit, the silver 2014 Grand Cherokee was promptly donated to the USO. In addition to this milestone SUV, Chrysler also had a near-perfect 1993-95 ZJ Grand Cherokee on hand for the photo op.
